Bama now has 10 yards rushing for the game. Seven less than halftime. They’ve ran 3 plays on UGA‘s side of the field. They’re slightly better than LSU in the 2012 NC game.

Forum Friends - Which Teams Will Win Their Conference Champ Game?
So far, so good. Tech looks scary. Georgia is mauling Alabama, and a fully healthy Ohio State is still yet to take the field. But just in case Alabama makes a comeback, or Indiana upsets Ohio State....

And maybe Kirby has smartened up against DeBoer's offense which has always been pass heavy.

WSJ - Unruly Market in Teen Sports Tears a Family Apart
I can’t be too specific, but in my career I met (and dealt with) many kids and families in high-level athletics. There were all kinds, as you can imagine. But there were also the hangers-on lurking around. Big talk, big promises. The legitimate scouts and coaches were almost always good to deal with. The others were trouble, and too often I witnessed the dissension they brought with them. I’m sure NIL would now complicate it now even more. All of that to say, stories like this are just the tip of the iceberg.

Promoting from within is great, as long as they are qualified. Dabo Swinney has made the mistake of promoting former players to fill roles they aren't qualified for. I think Dan is more aware of this than I am. Until proven otherwise, I'd trust the man that has 35 wins over the last three years.

While not surprising, it is very disturbing. NIL has not only brought this kind of pay-for-play into the open, but has created a lot of opportunities for people to prey on the talents of kids.

'bama's D-coordinator Kane Wommack is getting his pants taken down on national TV. There are more than one receiver open on almost every play.

ESPN College Football Gameday at SEC Championship Game
They were situated in an indoor convention type building. It felt weird to me, but there was no chance they weren't going to be in Atlanta. Alabama vs Georgia has been the SEC's version of Michigan vs Ohio State (a game they were at last week over the Iron Bowl). Paul Finebaum was up in arms about what he considers the greatest rivalry in sports, getting disrespected last week. That being an instate rivalry in Alabama. Much like Duke vs North Carolina, I don't think people outside the states of North Carolina or Alabama care about those games. No matter what Dick Vitale, or Paul Finebaum think. Sorry Paawwllll. But Alabama vs Georgia is huge in the South. Both teams have won multiple titles, and will likely be in the playoff no matter what. The Indiana vs Ohio State matchup is historic, but to most fans that still think northern football sucks. Indiana is a lightweight. I know Indiana is great, you know Indiana is great. Heck even ESPiN knows they're great, it's why they sent Gameday to Eugene in October for that Ducks vs Hoosier matchup. But Indiana still doesn't have the full respect of the common fan. Ohio State is a known commodity. There are four teams playing in the B1G/SEC championship games. Three of them are bluebloods, three of them have won at least two championships in the playoff era. Two are facing off in Atlanta. The third is the number one team in the country. The great outlier is the fourth, the one with 700 losses, but that's the past. You know it's the past, I know it's the past. It's going to take some time for the common fan in the South to realize it's the past though. I think the B1G title game is going to be the better game. But ESPiN was never going to highlight it as such.

"Coach Deboer, what do you think of your rushing offense?" "Well Holly, we've really been dog balls all year and I'd like to see that improve" 😂😂😂😂

Bama has 17 rushing yards. I know they have injuries, but their rushing offense has been dog balls all season (103rd).

If Bama can't score they aren't getting in the playoffs. How badly they lose by will effect the committee. Heck I just saw a shot of the committee in lounge chairs watching this entire game. That seems stupid, like they are going to give each other the worst case of recency bias. I hope that's just for show. I'm glad we aren't playing today. People want the bye week in the playoffs so there are less injuries, but what do you call this? The top 4 teams are playing today and we're on a bye. So even though we play an extra game in the playoffs it'll be the same amount of games the top 4 play, except our playoff game will be home, not a neutral sight, and not with committee prying eyes; and it'll have us hot and ready for the next game against the top 4. Life is good.

My suspicion would be that even if Bama loses, they would still be in, probably at the expense of Miami. I am not certain the committee is willing to punish Bama for losing the SEC championship. Disclaimer: I have ZERO clue how the committee thinks. IF Bama loses, I see them dropping below ND and ND moving up. Bama would be the 10 and ND would be the 9. This puts a buffer between ND and Miami, so the H2H isn't an issue. Miami would be 11 and still out because of the two remaining spots (ACC champ and probably Tulane). Just my $0.01 (Not even as good as $0.02). 😂😂😂

Perhaps not with this pressure. We saw how Oregon’s offense performed against Indiana. Georgia and Ohio State’s defenses are significantly better than Indiana’s, IMO.

Georgia, particularly its defense, is dominating this game, thus far. They are getting a lot of pressure on the Bama QB and he is clearly uncomfortable.

The punt block has fired up the Dawgs offense. Kirby said special teams might be significant.
