  1. Past hour
  2. It was 34-0 in the 3rd and they took their foot off the gas. It goes to show how talented the team is to play that badly yet still be in control. I’ll take the W over an upset loss any day.
  3. Agree that Moore was pulled a little too early. Whole team looked pretty meh all game. Props to the Wild Cats who seemed much more fired up. I think the Ducks showed up with a just take care of business mentality and it showed. Lanning will have plenty of things to see on film to work on. I’m hoping both lines getting pushed around was more meh than signs of trouble.
  4. 166 yds of NW’s 313 came on NW’s last two drives In the last 11:27 of the game: 9 plays 75 yds, 3 plays 91 yds With a 34-14 final, Ducks do not cover the spread. Would have at 34-7,
  5. My take away is we won by 20 in a dead environment with a 9am start against a B1G roster and didn’t seem to have any injuries. Every year we’re going to have a few workman like games and some of OBD fans will analyze it…a lot. In my rearview mirror personally.
  6. Sleepy start ... Moore took a while to warm up. Even his pitch to Limar on the touchdown was a bit off target Limar caught it around his head. Ducks got rolling in the middle. Lanning and company took their foot off the gas too early. The 79 yard touchdown was a gut punch to an otherwise solid game. Pulling Moore after his interception instead of putting him back in to rack up another touchdown for the team felt too early. The Ducks should have had their foot on the gas for one more series before pulling the starters. I also get that Lanning doesn't care so much about the final score as he is preserving his players for a LONG playoff schedule but with so many new faces I couldn't help but feel Dante Moore could have just used another series on the road.
  7. Good to see the "marker in time" for the rise of Oregon Football get a lil retroactive NIL for his place in our collective memories. 👍 Even if it be only unlimited supply of HOPS Valley pale ale. Lol. 🍻
  8. Overall I would give us a C, we only out gained Northwestern by about 60 yards, which is not a top 5 performance. Line play was very average. You can tell Lanning is PISSED at the performance, we didn't play even close to our potential. We have to bow up on the line, we will get demolished against PSU if we play like that in the trenches, it was kind of pathetic at times how much they getting pushed around. We were opportunistic, caused some turnovers which was good to see, but it should be a major wake up call that B1G football is going to be a lot tougher than beating up on a BAD Okie St. team. Secondary can improve, LBs were okay, just need more consistency. RBs were decent, WR the same, not a lot to digest there I think. I thought Dante was very good until that last throw, I really don't understand pulling him after that play, I don't get it, I especially don't get putting a 4th string QB in for a series, Moga should be getting those reps.
  9. Now in their second season in the Big Ten, the Oregon Ducks got another taste of Big Ten football on Saturday — the infamous sleepy starts in Evanston. Duck fans, accustomed to explosive first quarters against teams like Montana State and Oklahoma State, were met with a surprising change of pace — a modest 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, far from their usual high-octane openings. Oregon Survives Sleepy Start, Routs Northwestern 34-14

  14. Run D still a weakness, even before the 2s and 3s gave up the one at the end. Lots to work on before the Penn St game, or else it will be a very bad day in Happy Valley for the Ducks

  17. Good game to win, yet point out our flaws to work on. The development of many of our freshmen, is encouraging and promising for later in the season, and the future.
  18. Wish the back ups played with a little more "want to". Glad I'm not a gambler betting the spread.
  19. I don't think it was an awful decision, a perfect throw probably gets you a touchdown, but it wasn't really needed considering the circumstances. I would be curious to hear from Dante to see if he LB dropping back that far into coverage. I suspect he saw all the defenders but he just thought he could drop into Dak's hands.
  20. Don't pass into a sea of purple.
  21. I’m glad he didn’t commit to Oregon a couple years ago!
  22. No, I did not realize that but I do remember hearing somewhere that Brock Osweiler is 6’8”… https://thesundevils.com/sports/football/roster/player/brock-osweiler
  23. Been a weird game on defense, we've caused a few turnovers, we've had some sacks, but we also have been pushed around, and have gotten lucky by Northwestern messing up all on their own on more than a couple occasions. Lot's for the coaches to review, I also hope the players realize that they need to play better in order to beat the top teams. There's nothing that is super concerning, but it's a nice wake up call that we will need to play better in order to truly dominate. It really has been a great game in terms of results since it gives us just enough to go back and clean up without diminishing our standing in the eyes of the nation.
  24. Soooooo, S What have I ranked about for what seems like Centuries? Take away the QBs options by covering your man instead of looking at the QB. WHAT'S THE RESULT? INTERCEPTION. Even in NW's big pass play, the safety was covering his man ( he bit on a good fake. I'll take that every play for the rest of time- that's what I want to see). That strategy alone will make this defense a 14 points per game juggernaut.
  25. I just realized I haven't seen A'Mari? (Edit) There he is next drive.
  26. I wonder if the Ducks were affected by the horrendous crowd noise in the first half.
