  2. Previous Duck Defensive Shutouts... Pur-done, 35-0, with DG at the helm Portland State, 69-0, in 2010 Arizona, 49-0, in 1992...
  3. Bama can’t run the ball and Indiana has a top 3 defense. I’m expecting a score similar to the SEC Championship game.
  4. No issue with the defense’s attack mentality. It’s knowing when and when not to adjust that approach on offense that troubles me.
  5. I'm a little surprised TT out rushed the Ducks by 14 yds. 50 of those yds. on one play tho. Both teams did a good job of shutting down running plays. Dante Moore was the difference maker in this game, getting OBD in position to put points on the board. TT's offense had nothing. ,
  6. Tech’s defense reminded me of Indiana’s defense . Fortunately, their offense reminded me of Oklahoma State’s offense.
  7. Defense was lights out, Dante needs to keep his eyes downfield as he missed some pretty open reads for long yardage.
  8. Indiana should win but after that Miami game I’m not sure of anything any more.
  9. Oregon vs. Texas Tech instant recap: score from Ducks vs. Red Raiders It was far from pretty, but the Ducks got the job done and eliminated Texas Tech with one of the best defensive performances we've seen all season.
  10. Indiana should dominate. I expect thier D-line to wreck Alabamas offense.
  11. D coordinator seems just fine. O coordinator ... hmmm
  12. Who knows? It may have been a much different game had Lanning taken that approach. Hard to argue with the edge the defense played with throughout the entire game. That came from somewhere. Perhaps it was a direct consequence of Lanning's approach. In DL we trust.
  13. I am so impressed with this team, especially the defense. The offense will do better, the next team's defense won't be so stifling. They were very good. Texas Techs offense was sub par although that was probably due to the ducks. What a wonderful game.
  14. Two takeaways for me, to win the next one more easily: Take the points Pass the ball vertically
  15. Let's scout out our opponent! I am very concerned for the Hoosiers considering the "Long-Layoff" monster has bitten six teams straight. But I can't shake the feeling that the 'Tide is going to be taken to the Woodshed. Thoughts?
  16. Agreed about Tosh. Now do Stein :)
  17. At times, not sure what our offensive brain trust was thinking. Against a defense of the caliber of Texas Tech, a go for it, taking the bit between your teeth mentality is just not smart football. In big time games; breath, and take what the situation offers.
  18. Back in the day it was always like this on Jan 1st with all the bowl games. But back then it was both teams that had the time off which usually resulted in slow 1st half starts.
  19. Lanning would have had is team take a knee as usual, except for the useless BS timeouts called by TT. No apologies for an extra TD
  20. After spitting the bit vs. JMU, I think Tosh had his full attention on OBD, and OBD's D. 👍👍👍

  22. Yeah, just a practical guess on my part. 1 extra week to help banged up players get healthy before getting back into it in the 2nd week.
  23. Texas Tech's big-money roster comes up small vs. Oregon in Orange Bowl Texas Tech spoke all week about playing on the big stage, about the college football world getting to see what has been built in the West Texas town. They had a chance to continue reeling in the Big Ten and SEC (both looking vulnerable this postseason), and make a statement for the Big 12 and ACC. Then ran into a motivated defensive buzzsaw against Oregon.
  24. It would be an interesting study to attempt to determine when degradation begins. I'm guessing you're right and that it's about 14 days. After that, I think it starts working against a team.
  25. 50 years ago to the day I was at The Orange Bowl 1976. A mere child was I. Rooted for OU to beat Michigan 14-6 to win The National Title. Wasn't there today. But will be there January 19th for a UO National Title. First Atlanta GO DUCKS!
  26. Tosh, By Gosh! Brother Mike West, if you're right for the wrong reason, you're still right! 😁And, OBD did control the clock, and then some. Atlanta - We're coming to your City! 👍👌❤️😍
