  2. Great observations Mike, and it is always fun to have a guest article from you. Many thanks!
  3. Hmmmmm. Big and Beefy Trench Monsters. No doubt it will take the offensive line 2-3 games to gel and establish communication on a rebuilt offensive line. The talent level of these players will help hide any early season....shortcomings. But by the time we trip out to Happy Valley I have confidence that Coach Terry and company will have them ballin at an elite and dominating level of play. Remember that not only this coaching staff, but NFL-lite coaches across the country are still adapting and adjusting to high player turnover due to the wild, wild West of the transfer portal. (Well except Clemson maybe...lol). No matter where you get your players from and how you tend to utilize them in your football scheme, they still need to learn how to work as a "team" to maximize their inherent abilities to the fullest potential. Thats where the "coaching" comes into play. I believe that both our offensive and defensive line play may actually surprise a lot of sports pundits as the season progresses. But then again...I'm just a hopelessly devoted fan(atic) of OBD so what the hell do I know, Not filtered through that fandom! 🤪. Go Ducks!
  4. It will be interesting to see how/if Tosh continues in his "growth" as the Ducks DC. He has definitely shown growth from his days in (California?) and Jacksonville, but still seemed out coached by his college football nemesis, Chip Kelly last year in the playoffs. Defense being D.Lannings "cup o tea" and the fact that he himself seems to have a lot of confidence in Tosh as his DC since bringing him in four years ago, gives me hope that they are both on the same page, defensively, and are creating one of the more dominantly consistent defenses in all of NFL-lite football. However if future games arise that Tosh seems to be a "day late and a step behind" the game plan of the opposing offense, with no clear in-game adjustments to counter, then it would not surprise me to see some interest in taking our DC in a different direction. D. Lanning will NOT wait forever for his vision of dominating defense, year in and year out, to become reality. Here's hoping Tosh has continued his progression as OBD's defensive coordinator. It can only bode well for OBD this year and into the future. Go Ducks (T-minus 3 days, 5ish hours)! QUACK! 🦆🏈🪨's

  9. Moore No. 11. Top 10 only includes one non-QB, some Smith character (no, not me, but thanks for asking 😁) Where Dante Moore stands in Heisman Trophy odds ahead of Week 1
  10. Some of these were really needed.
  11. Ducks in the NFL and those who were cut. Autzen ZooDucks in the NFL lock down roster spots, while the air go...Dillon Gabriel secured the backup quarterback job in Cleveland this week as the Browns traded Kenny Pickett to the Raiders and cut Tyler Huntley.
  12. Thanks Mike West! Excellent thoughts to look to during this season. The resurrection of Chip Kelly at the Rose Bowl is exactly what you are telling us.
  13. Something has been brewing in my mind all summer as I’ve thought about the upcoming season. Late this Spring, I pointed out in the FishDuck Forum with Decorum, a nagging foreboding about Our Beloved Duck (OBD) defense. I discussed it with Mr. FishDuck himself. We both shared some interesting perspectives. He suggested I should relieve my worries by looking at ... Why Tosh Lupoi Must Have His Best Season
  14. Not related to Leavitt except maybe as "bad news for former Ducks", a list of players released today on NFL cut down day: Pharaoh Brown - Miami Thomas Graham - Chicago Chase Cota - Cleveland Brandon Johnson - Philadelphia Casey Rogers - Buffalo Stephen Jones - Pittsburg Patrick Herbert - Jacksonville Jabbar Muhammed - Jacksonville Traeshon Holden - Dallas Royce Freeman - Chicago Tysheem Johnson - Chicago Jake Hanson - Atlanta Dontae Manning - Atlanta Shane Lemieux - NO Trikweze Bridges - Carolina Kristian Williams - Denver Kahlef Hailassie - Minneaota Bradyn Swinson - NE
  15. I don't have much sympathy for Fox and other corporate entities refusing to negotiate in good faith. Fox and ESPN did opt to kill the Pac-12 to suit their own interests. https://fishduck.com/2023/08/how-fox-and-espn-dismantled-the-pac-12/ There was definitely something suspicious about the way the Pac-12 died. And I completely concede that the conference was mismanaged as well but there was still some fishy stuff going on.
  16. I fail to see how FOX's statement was remotely "scathing". Google and YouTube TV said FOX is asking for much more than other carriers and FOX basically said...nothing? "We consider Google's offer to be unreasonable" is not a good argument and not scathing. FOX is acting like retail/fast food union members do when they go on strike and cry they are not getting what they want. Well, you'll get paid what the market rate is and you'll like it, that's what I say. FOX should not be asking for above market rate.
  17. When you are lying down, can you take a knee?
  18. Give Mario a break. What other coach could have kept Stony Brook in a game vs. OBD? 😀
  19. Why be on the sideline for a loss to the Domers? It wasn't my fault! 😒I was stuck in traffic! When the Gators come calling, be prepared for a Mario Amber Alert.
  20. It was apparently down to Cristobal and Leavitt for the HC after Taggart left. Glad we got MC.
  21. With a career winning percentage of 55%, who is to question the Captain of Coral Gables?
  22. He will be safer in the box when he makes bone-headed mistakes. It is hard for the fans to hit him with water bottles up there. Disclaimer: I am not advocating throwing things which is not tolerated.
  23. There have definitely been a few misses, but it could have been worse...

  25. I’ve used two different ones and both worked great. Real Streams and another I can’t remember. You have to have good internet access or it will buffer. The great part about it is you can watch the major network channels from each major U.S. city. So, for NFL games, if Fox in Portland is airing Seahawks/Browns instead of 49ers/Eagles you can just switch over to the Fox Philadelphia or San Francisco channel and watch it. I like the free NFL Network as well. I always use Privacy.com to pay for subscriptions. This prevents over-charges because I can set the monthly limit.
  26. The conventional wisdom here is that this MIGHT not be true. I know everything on the internet is true but this might be one of those things that slipped under the radar.😉
  27. Hopefully there is nothing here (divorce) but the reality is the optics are not good.
  28. might have been a good DC but was a horrible person. He and Mario loathed each other. He was forbidden from recruiting when he was at Oregon and never actually moved to Eugene. He rented an apartment. I never was a Cristobal fan but i did agree when he told Leavitt he couldn't recruit for the simple reason it would be pretty hard to sell a kid on coming to school in Eugene when you don't even live there.
