The First Time I've Questioned Justin Herbert's Judgment...
Some guys just prefer a fixer-upper. It makes them feel needed. The only problem is they'll never be truly fixed.

New (?) Metric for Playoff Committee to Use
All SoS and SoR metrics are biased. It is unfortunate, but that is just how they work. If they are going to use these metrics, they should use more than one to try and thin out the biases.

Nope. I thought that for the first 20 years as well. But with some women...you can never make them happy, and you lose who you are as you try. (Don't ask me how I know) But I should not delve into mens/womens issues here beyond the jesting that has taken place. New (?) Metric for Playoff Committee to Use
Strength of schedule to have more weight. CFP selection committee to use enhanced metrics - ESPN Of course, this still favors the SEC since they have more teams starting in the top 25. Would be better if they waited until Nov 4th to use that top 25.

I remember when Tim Tebow was being courted by Katy Perry. I was concerned that Tim would've dipped his toes in that world like Eli Manning did with Brittany Spears during his Ole Miss days. Tim stayed off that path and is now happily married to a nice woman whose name I don't know. It's best to keep your personal life as personal as possible imo. As any married or committed person would likely tell you, and as a man I can tell you that when your wife/fiance/girlfriend is happy, you'll be much happier.

Josh Pate Predicts 2025 Big-10 Champion: Penn State Over Oregon
More from Josh Pate on the 2025 Ducks. Beyond Super Frosh Dak Moore, is there enough depth and talent at WR? Malik Benson. I wish I could get his drop of a perfectly thrown deep ball in the Spring Game out of my head. I note that we haven't heard much about Hughes at RB. Will he be the same player in the Power 2 that he was in the G5? 2027 Recruitment, Announcements, Interviews, Etc.
Oregon has Rivals No. 3 ranked recruiting class including a pledge from Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta quarterback Bryson Beaver. Beaver ranks as the Rivals No. 5 ranked signal-caller. He gave the Ducks a verbal in June over the likes of Ole Miss, LSU and Auburn. The defending Big Ten Champs are very happy with Beaver and two sources tell Rivals they aren’t actively recruiting any other quarterbacks that are in the senior class. That includes Folsom (Calif.) High five-star and BYU commit Ryder Lyons. For much of the 2026 process, Lyons was Oregon’s top target with offensive coordinator Will Stein leading the charge on the trail. Rivals has learned Stein has not talked with Lyons since being told he was going to BYU and has had minimal communication with the Lyons family that was initiated by the Lyons camp. A source also told Rivals that Oregon did not send Lyons an offer letter. Lyons will take an LDS Mission following his senior year so he is technically a 2027 prospect. But they don’t want to do anything to ruffle the feathers of Beaver who they fell in love with in camp this summer. Even letting Lyons come to a game this fall would be up for debate inside their football facility. Speaking of 2027s, Oregon is in the mix for two of their favorites in the cycle in Keegan Croucher and Trent Seaborn. Oregon set at QB in the 2026 class, in great shape to land one of its top 2027 targets

Will Stein on the "Most Consistent Receiver," and Tasty Stuff About Dante Moore...
The delivery on the Schwartz video is a bit plodding, but there is a treasure trove of information on defensive schemes and QB reads based on what the defense shows pre and post snap. Moore exhibited elite arm talent as a UCLA freshman but also the fundamental errors a young QB will make: Locking on to one receiver and telegraphing the throw with his eyes, trying to throw off balance into a tight window and getting fooled by a safety that cheats his coverage with a little motion. On each of those bad judgement pick six throws Moore had another open option. In his defense, the O-line and RB blocking was abysmal and barely gave him enough time to get to read #2. And the Chipster's offense may have been simplified for certain preset throws to get him started. It added up to Dante kind of getting thrown to the wolves with the confidence draining outcome that multiple picks would understandably have on a young QB. That he has picked himself up (pun intended) and prepared himself with a year under a QB whisperer OC and behind an experienced Heisman candidate is a testament to his resilience and smarts. Those first year errors seem correctable, and heaven knows Moore will have better scheme, weapons and protection at Oregon than he would have ever had at Westwood. I think that barring something stellar from Novosad coming out of fall camp, the job is his. Either way we OBD fans should feel pretty good about the QB spot going into the season.

Will Stein on the "Most Consistent Receiver," and Tasty Stuff About Dante Moore...
Article in Oregonian this morning mentioning Alabama/FSU WR transfer Malike Benson…seems like the random (to me) transfer, 1 year “rental player” that could have a huge impact. Love paying attention to the roster more once we hit August! 😆

Michigan Keeps It's Title....Loses 30 Million
They all should've, but the world isn't fair. I'm okay with that because I never expected Michigan to lose it's title. I did expect a postseason ban for at least a year though. But that didn't happen, there weren't even any show clauses to my knowledge.

Will Stein on the "Most Consistent Receiver," and Tasty Stuff About Dante Moore...
I'm not surprised Gary Bryant Jr. is mentioned as the most consistent...I think he has the most years in the program within the WR room (at least for the ones that have started games) so he should know the offensive schemes inside and out. I think this is his chance to move from WR4 to as high as WR2 if things go right for him. For Dante, I think it will all come down to how well he can read the defense...guys like Bo and Dillon had pretty much seen it all after 5-6 years so I expect him to struggle this year with that and be much better at it next season. That being said, I think either he or Austin Novasad are good enough to manage the offense well enough for a 10 win season this year.
