There didn't seem to be much, if any, support info to Mal's arguement or point of view. I would ask her if she actually watched any of the Duck games or the 3 she commented on? As an avid Duck for what feels like centuries, I admit I was disappointed that the team let PSU and Iowa back in the game. CLOSE THESE TEAMS OUT! Last week, the passing game opened up, so we exploited that. The great thing that this offense now appears to have is the ability to put up big yards rushing and/or passing... basically, whatever is needed/available, we now appear to be taking advantage of. This multi-dimensional aspect going late into the season could just be absolutely huge. David -- You made such an excellent point regarding the Indiana game in which it looked like we sort of forgot that we successfully run the ball, and therefore forced the passing game, got sacked 6 times, looked like crap (my words, not yours), while losing by 10. Right now, it appears to look and feel like Stein, Moore, and company, have found the right balance between our run and pass game... and, we will take what the opposition gives us. Saturday is certainly a massive game and I think it will tell us if we will make a run in the playoffs.

Kwame Evans energy and hustle was on a different level last night. Makes a huge difference. Wei Lin made some good decisions with the ball (unlike the prior games) and I expect him to be a contributor down the stretch.

Doesn’t nearly every football game have great catches, drops and calls by officials that could go either way? It takes all eleven players to make a record performance by any one of them. Dante had a great game despite two of the team’s best receivers being out with injuries.

Two receptions stick out to me right away. Sadiq's incredible lay it all out to get the ball reception that set up the first TD run. Easily an incomplete pass. Then the McClellan TD catch could have easily been an incomplete. That TD was entirely about the ruling on the field as a touchdown because if it was ruled incomplete I don't see evidence to overturn it to make it a TD in that situation, just like how there really wasn't any definitive evidence that the catch was made in-bounds. Make either of those an incomplete pass and Moore ends the game (probably) around 86% which is lower than Mariota's 87% (I believe that was the previous record). Credit to all those receivers and the pass protection for sure!

Fragile is the wrong word, I get what she is trying to say, but I wouldn't call them fragile, I'm not sure what the right word would be for what she is getting at. I think Oregon should be a little concerned that they haven't shown an ability to simply slam the door shut in the 4th quarter in close games. We survived PSU and Iowa, we had opportunities in those games to stamp out any chance for the opposition, but we gave up long drives to both teams after shutting them down for the most part, have to play better in those moments. To Oregon's credit they responded to that adversity by responding and winning the games, we didn't get gifted anything in either game, we earned both wins. It's just sensationalist writing.

That is the quote that probably encapsulates the season so far, they have gotten better each game, but it's been a slow process, and I'm sure Altman isn't happy about where they are right now. Not putting away teams like they should doesn't matter now, as they didn't lose a game, and they have a great opportunity to pick up some crucial non-conference wins. After the Player's Era tourney they have the LA schools to open B1G play. Schedule is a lot harder now, and hopefully the close games they have had helps them pull through them.

Oregon and USC are in the B1G now and this rivalry needs a trophy to fight over every year. May I suggest... a Pac-12 Championship Trophy? Bonus of this trophy would be... it angers the Beavers, and Cougs as the last remaining Pac-12 members. It would extra anger the Beavers as the last 1.5 Pac-12 Champs. It would anger Washington for not being included. UCLA would probably not care so much.

Silly. A team (🤔) that went 2-7 against opponents they were on par with or exceeded for spending per player on their roster, yet still manage to keep choking, THAT is fragile. Fragile teams don’t win on the road.

I think she's just talking specifically about the Penn State, Indiana and Iowa games. She's saying that Oregon hasn't shown the ability to slam the door in the 4th quarter while holding a one-score lead or a tie.

Nate Bittle scored 24 points and fellow Oregonian Jackson Shelstad added 22 as the UO men's basketball team knocked off Oregon State on Monday, 87-75 before 7,616 fans in Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks (4-0) now have a week off before traveling to defend their Players Era Festival title next week in Las Vegas. The Ducks won their ninth straight over the rival Beavers. "It feels great — I haven't lost to them in five years," Bittle said. "I know it's a big rivalry. We grew up watching this game every year." Kwame Evans Jr. added his second career double-double for the Ducks, finishing with 16 points, 14 rebounds and a plus-15 margin for the UO men when he was on the floor. That was the best in the game, tied with teammate Takai Simpkins, who scored 13 points. "We're going to need that effort from (Evans) all the time, and he's capable of it," Shelstad said. There we go! Moving in the right direction. Shelstad, Simpkins, Bittle, and Evans all looked very good in this win. I think we need one more to step up and join those 4 as the permanent starters going forward. I like Lindsay starting with that group, even though he struggled a little bit. He can slash and get to the rim and shot 42% from three his last year in JC and can stretch the floor. He is dangerous from everywhere. Plus he has the size and strength to help on the defensive side of the ball. Stewart and Pryor should be first off the bench and contribute significant minutes and that is exactly how it played out last night. From there, the bench is going to start shortening I suspect.

Not to mention the fewest defensive yards allowed per play in all of college football. Fragile teams roll over when faced with adversity. Oregon is 9-1 and has showed that they can win in any conditions or type of game. Bring it!

Oregon fragile? Now that is something. This is the issue when someone just looks at statistics and doesn’t watch games. Running for over 7 yards per carry in the pouring rain and beating one of the most physical defenses in the country in the final two minutes just screams “fragile”.

Another solid episode. Dante Moore’s name may be next to the 90% completion percentage in Oregon’s record book but watching the video shows some of the incredible catches (diving, in traffic, adjusting to the ball in the air, dragging a toe to stay in bounds) by our receivers/tight ends that made it possible, along with the incredible pass protection. Well done all around. It was fun to watch.
