  2. This is all they are showing for now. It seems the Potential Release Date"Based on historical data, the 2026 Big Ten Football schedule may be released in the spring of 2026, typically between April and May. This timeline allows teams and fans ample time to plan for the upcoming season. Although the exact date is not confirmed, fans can anticipate official announcements from the Big Ten Conference and participating teams in the coming months." 6. When there is a slow news cycle? Probably not... But the off season is fast approaching and we'll soon all be hungry for things to talk about.
  7. I always respected this guy and his teams. I heard this Alabama lineman (an All-American) tell a story about playing Utah in one of the New Years Day bowls in a year after the Tide had won the Natty. He said Coach Saban didn't like the way they were practicing leading up to the game telling them "You better be getting your heads on straight or this man's team will kick your rear-ends!" They scoffed, went to the game, and got their rear-ends kicked. I think it is likely Whit would succeed In Ann Arbor but believe he is really retiring.
  8. The last pre-expansion schedule was announced in August for seasons prior to the West Coast Four. Then, it was revised January 12, 2022 for seasons thru 2025. Obviously that didn't last long either because later in 2022 the Big announced USC & UCLA would be joining in 2024. Wilner believes the closer it gets to Christmas, the more likely it will be announced in January 2026. The B1G has more network affiliations to satisfy than the SEC so that's another reason it is taking longer. Though, the Big12 has announced their opponent matrix but has not announced the dates...similar to what B1G has done.
  9. Dec. 11, 2024 - date schedule released for 2025 May 29, 2025 - early games kickoff times announced
  10. Last year it was done around now, just wondered.
  11. No idea, Lonnie. The B1G has delayed the release of the game dates. Perhaps as part of the all-sports scheduling review, designed, in part, to cut down on travel. I have zero inside information, but it would not surprise me to see adjustments to the permanent opponents list, with the Pac-12 legacy schools playing one another every season. A change in permanent opponents would mean a change in next season's schedule and the other schedules that run through 2028. In 2026, OBD is scheduled to make two trips to the Eastern time zone to play Ohio State and Michigan State, and a trip to the Central time zone to play Illinois. USC's 2026 schedule seems designed to give Troy an excuse to kiss Notre Dame goodbye. Three trips to the Eastern time zone to play Indiana, Penn State, and Rutgers, plus a trip to Wisconsin. I'm waiting for the game dates to be revealed to see if OBD has another Minnesota situation, a Saturday game two or more time zones away from Eugene, followed by a Friday night home game vs. a team with the prior Saturday off. I can find no CFB site with information on when the game dates will be released.
  12. These aren't the days of Steamboat Willie or Super Mario.
  13. I can see who we play next year, But does anyone know when the Big will come out with dates for the 2026 games?
  14. Fun fact: Oregon has a long history of coaches lasting well beyond five seasons and has had some of the longest tenures across multiple PAC eras and the B1G. Pretty sure this is an editing hiccup, not a history lesson.

  17. Really a poor performance on his part. BTW just how tall is this guy? His bio with Vandy says six foot but I say no way. My guess is 5 foot 9 inches at best. Good luck in the NFL Draft.
  18. I think the analytics should change for the playoff bowls. Wins should count double since everyone except the National Champs will have an L. So, a win followed by a loss means a .500 record. Whereas ewe dub earned a 1000 record. Too bad the SEedingChumps can lose them all since there is an SEC matchup so one team has to get a W.

  20. I think they will come storming back--like last year. And Jon....your word-play is so MUCH fun!
  21. So much I could say....let's just say that Eugene/Oregon is....unique. The video is funny, but it does carry out all the narratives to the extreme. The Man-Bun was a nice touch...
  22. The title to your post “B1G Bowls..” took me back to a memory; “Big Balls Chip’ coaching to 46-7.
  23. Some people just get stuck in the “Hippie phase”. Oregon’s campus had a fair number of these guys in the seventies. However, I am pretty sure some definitely took acid.
  24. And Herbert's Chargers just sent KC packing... NFL scouts may well be pondering what effect playing at Oregon is having on DM's developing potential.
  25. I noticed the emoticon change yesterday. Like you indicated, it was a little thing, but very nice. The other change is also appreciated. And it's so nice to be able to make a quick edit (usually a grammatical correction for me) within an hour of posting... let alone, delete a duplicate.
  26. I would watch a second tier football playoff type format (NIT invitational comes to mind) that replaces meaningless bowl games. A problem with an Invitational is obviously injury risk, and opt outs. However, media revenue drives the bus for college sports. Would people watch a 16 team CFP, and 16 team NCAA Invitational?
