  2. I couldn't draw it up better for the Ducks if I had the pen and paper in my hand the whole time. This is the best path for the Ducks. For other teams, it may be different. Last year, we squeaked out a win when OSU did not play their best in the regular season and we got by Penn St in the conf champ game. We were on top of the world and then it came crashing down hard and fast. This year, we had some tough games that forced the team to fight hard at the end of some games. These players should be more battle ready than last year. Each game in the playoffs should get progressively harder, so the Ducks should not get surprised by a competitive game. They will go as far as their talent will take them.
  3. Part of the reason I follow the Ducks and college football is to get away from 'real life'. I understand that people mess up. An 18 year old kid can do something and learn from it. A nearly 40 year old man should know better. Best thing for college football is to kick out the perps. We need positive role models. I quit following the NBA when the Portland 'Jail blazers' went off the hook. And I never went back. There is a big difference between being 'caught up in the moment' and deliberately making bad decisions.
  4. Everyone always remembers their first! OBD also won the first playoff game in FBS history at the Rose Bowl against FSU, thanks for one, to Jameis Winston’s “ghost fumble.” Sco Ducks!!! Always innovating! (Oh, and Dyer was definitely down.)
  5. Here is what is being said on some Michigan boards. Nobody knows the full story yet but basically he allegedly threatened his life in front his wife then left and went to the staffers house. He then threatened her life and his life and then police arrested him down the road because the wife has his location on her phone and gave it to the police. Sounds like he completely snapped.
  6. I think injury reports should be totally transparent and thorough! When and why and how often are players getting injured are absolutely a stats that should be reported publicly. Players deserve to know, and coaches are negligent not to know. Mari-no-O was sooooo terrible with injuries.
  7. There was apparently an "alleged assault" investigation going on prior to Moore's 8:30PM booking. Not clear if it's related. That's a quick fall from grace.
  8. Is the staff member underage or something???
  9. I wonder what Indiana's NIL budget is?
  10. So far, Texas seems hellbent on proving to everyone that huge NIL budgets are not the most important factor.
  11. Saint Curt. Nobody needs to Google him now. Good for him!
  12. Most of these failed to lift their teams. Guess money is not everything, huh?
  13. A Tresell guy going to Michigan? He'd be radioactive in Columbus.
  14. Moore potential hires include Ohio State Man Marcus Freeman - Just when things are going so well in South Bend 🤬 https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/michigan-coaching-candidates-after-sherrone-moore-firing-kalen-deboer-marcus-freeman/
  15. Wouldn’t that constitute “pay for play”. I’m pretty sure that is not allowed in NIL though maybe things changed when schools were allowed to start paying players directly
  16. ESPN update on Moore's arrest. Wanna get away? ☹️ ESPN.comEx-UM coach Moore detained by police after firingSherrone Moore, who was fired as Michigan's head football coach Wednesday, was detained by police and then turned over for investigation into potential charges.
  17. On3 confirms his arrest. Charges yet to be disclosed.
  18. Here's a list of potential hires from SI. It's refreshing not to see Danno's name on the list. There's a party going on in Columbus. 🤪 SITen Candidates for Michigan Football Coaching Search Afte...The Wolverines’ job will be attractive even if it’s late in the cycle with Kalen DeBoer, Brian Kelly and NFL coaches in the mix.
  19. A report indicates he was detained by police. WTH is happening?
  20. I'm seeing signals that tell me Michigan will try to pry Connor Stalions away from his high school coaching job. 😁
  21. Folks are always careful......it's football......so two easy wins for Oregon. Assuming we get our receivers back. I truly believe this is the year Oregon goes all the way.
  22. Yesterday
  23. I did as I thought Indy would beat tosu and I think we will win the Indy rematch. We played a below our standard game the first time around and we a deflected pass away from a possible OT game. tosu was the unknown as they hadn't played any really tough games until the BIG CShip where their worts were exposed.
  24. Matt Campbell has a lot of work to do to plug holes in a program taking on water. I suspect that Knowles is paid too much, and not the relentless type of recruiter needed for Penn State right now. If I was Matt Campbell I would look to pay less to a younger, and more energetic DC, then provide incentives for a higher payout.
  25. And him with 3 daughters. 😟
  26. You lose one game to Ohio State and ... 😁 It looks like the Big Brother coach has followed the path of the Little Brother coach. MSU's firing of Tucker for cause was upheld. (J. Smith is available.) This is a talented and young football team with a good recruiting class. How many recruits bail and how many vets, including QB Underwood, transfer? Will Michigan show up to play Texas? Interim coach Biff Hoggi's play-calling was better than Moore's. I expect Biff (sorry, McFly 😁) will be the interim coach with a chance at the permanent gig. Underwood was committed to LSU before his services were purchased by Larry Ellison. I'd be shocked if the Portal King hasn't reached out. Maybe Michigan will alter course and go for a private capital deal? Stunning. After the events of this season, I thought nothing could shock me? Michigan visits Autzen next season. OBD return game in Ann Arbor in 2027.
  27. Another element of this path that may not get talked about enough is that if Oregon makes it to the final, they will have essentially three road games after hosting in the first round. With the nation's longest road winning streak by far (12), Lanning has proven to have his team ready in hostile environments. I actually think OBD are more focused on the road than at home and this could end up being positive vs home or mixed stadiums (Rose Bowl or Fiesta Bowl) with family and friends in tow. I wonder if there is a scenario where the team stays on the east coast in between bowl games should they advance vs. returning home for 3-4 days? Travel and jet lag wears on you and obliterates two of your prep days.
