It's Official: Gatlin Bair is in Eugene!
AI gave me 100 Yard times… Whatever. He will show the doubters later, because again-his was a high school time, while the other times were after being older, and trained in college.

Renfro ran a 9.6 100 YARD time. That's a significant difference. Former Duck TE Russ Francis also ran a sub 10 second 100 yard dash in HS. Theoretically, there is about a 1-1.25 second difference in the times required to complete the 100 meters.

NJDuck I believe that providing a college football player an opportunity to excel in a better location than where that player is presently playing can hardly fall into a category of theft. OBD would simply be doing the young student-athlete a favor.

Google is your friend.... Gatlin Bair ran a 10.15 in high school, and the following were done by players while at Oregon. Mel Renfro: 9.60 Sammy Parker: 10.18 De'Anthony Thomas: 10.31 Devon Allen: 10.36 LaMichael James: 10.52 (But he never ran above a 4.40 forty-yard-dash and was recorded at 4.37 at the NFL Combine. Bair has run a 4.36) Bair is already in elite sprinting company....and he is 6'3" and can jump high enough where the top of his head is even with a basketball rim. Sammy Parker

Are You Watching Games On Christmas?
I don't have Netflix or Prime, so no football games for me. I did watch A Christmas Story. I've enjoyed that movie ever since the first time we saw it when it came out in the theaters. Listened to Jean Shepard on the radio when I was growing up in Connecticut.

Are You Watching Games On Christmas?
Not a Ducks topic, but relevant to future of college football. Will fans watch games only on paid streaming? Pacific Time - today 10:00 – Netflix – Cowboys 30 vs 23 Commanders (no Mariota due to injury) 1:30 – Netflix – Lions vs Vikings 5:15 – Prime – Broncos vs Chiefs Did the family of Fish Duck visitors watch these games today? Aside from being Christmas Day, if it was a different day would you watch? I understand some Ducks games have been on Peacock and Paramount+, but I wonder about whether those games had an audience also.

Oregon vs. Texas Tech Pregame Discussion
For this Duck fan, the November/December version of OBD's is better than the October version. With real time game experience and a great deal of water under the bridge the current Duck offense has very little resemblence to the offense on the field against IU. Dante is reading defensive sets/formations and calling audibles to avoid trouble. The result, less sacks and more positive plays. He may be extremely talented but he was clueless in the IU game. His line gave up 6 sacks. Goodness.....Since that game the 2 deep line has done what was needed in run block assignments and pass blocking. You don't win 6 games in a row, in the BIG, to close out your conference schedule with out a stout O line executing at a high level. Watch the games again and dont follow the ball carrier. Look at the down field blocking by the linemen, tight ends and receivers. It is exceptional with hat on hat 20-30 yards downfield. Exceptional.... The key component is Dante! In October he was an extremely talented player brimming with potential. And IU knocked his confidence into next week. Thru the course of the season, with hard work, high end coaching and determination, Dante has become a team leader and probably the #1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. With protection and the newly found TE sets(last 4 games) Dante is a difference maker. He will be the difference against TT. I have promised myself I won't melt down when TT stuffs and stymes OBD's on the first few possessions. Those first 8 to 12 plays set the stage for future big plays later. For you younger Forum members, in the sixties the New York Jets had a,QB named Joe Willie Namath. There were no artificial turf stadiums. When bad weather arrived the fields were muddy. The Jets O Lines goal was to keep Joe Willies uniform clean. Sideline camera shots would pan the O line and Joe Willie. The lineman's jerseys would be muddy and bloody. Joe Willie's entire uniform would be clean. In 1969 they kept Joe Willie so clean they won the Super Bowl. Keep Dante's uniform clean and OBD's NFL Light team will put TT in the rearview mirror. GO DUCKS!

I only remember maybe 5 to 8 Ducks in the last 50 years with that kind of speed and none that big. Hope he has the moves and hands.

It's Official: Gatlin Bair is in Eugene!
I am still blown away by this guy...he was faster in high school than Tyreek Hill, but he is not 5'8", but he is 6'3" was one of the fastest high schoolers in the nation, and can jump through the roof. Once he gets back in shape and into form? He could be the perfect guy that turns 50/50 passes into a 75/35% in his favor by catching or pass interference. Oh yeah...he is big and strong and can out-muscle most defensive backs...whew!
