2024 Oregon - Montana State Post-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
Matayo had a great game, but I am so impressed by lineman A'Mauri Washington. That first play on defense when A'Mauri quickly tackled the Montana runner in the backfield was astounding! Three Opening Season Offensive Surprises for the Ducks
It’s finally here, a new season with new faces and new surprises. In 2023 it was a surprise to see Bryce Boettcher, a walk on, get the start at linebacker. Since then he has become a household name among Duck fans. This season we had even more new faces making an impact in Game 1. Some of these new impact ... General Comments on Ducks & College Football
Watching the Huskies play Colorado State a bit last night felt like the commentary was over the top. Sounded like I was watching a top 10 match up. But then you realize that Colorado State (soon to be Pac-12 member) is playing and the fact that the Husky offensive line was getting wrecked makes the whole thing kinda laughable.

Anyone Else Watching the Miami Game?
Yes, but he did keep serve and call his first TO of the game when ND was about to punt after their first series. How were we to know that icing the Punter before his first punt of the game was a thing,

Anyone Else Watching the Miami Game?
Props To Mario and Miami for beating ND. He's surviving and thriving. He got us one of the best victories in Duckdom at Columbus w/o his d star.

Anyone Else Watching the Miami Game?
Notre Dame needs a better QB.
-
Anyone Else Watching the Miami Game?
The fact that Mario has two timeouts left with one minute left in the game is almost a miracle in and of itself.

Anyone Else Watching the Miami Game?
Miami O-line 6-9, 340 6-2, 275 6-3, 295 6-6, 350 6-6, 315 Notre Dame is having problems with that.

One thing to remember about MC teams, they perform well in big games. He pummeled tosu at the shoe. It’s always the choke jobs against lesser teams that leave everyone scratching their heads. Wouldn’t be shocked if Miami wins this. I’ll be shocked if they survive Bethune-Cookman next week.

It was only four counts of theft. Gundy draws the line at 6. 😉🤔

They can... Only if they WANT it more. Right?

ESPN = Entire Sport Prognosis Nonsense
That would account for those ranking and the fact that they have the Ducks beating sc on that game's FPI. Poop in, poop on steroids out!

Anyone Else Watching the Miami Game?
Miami has great talent. They will probably win this game. However, that special teams screw-up is something that happens to Mario’s teams more than it should.

Gundy is pretty big on 2nd chances.

Malik Benson Needs His Own Discussion.
I think Benson is what they described him as, "a possession receiver," meaning that he is good getting open for first downs, but is not a game breaker. I like how Stein is using running backs to get the pass in open field, make someone miss and get an explosion play as Jay Harris did during this game. BTW...didn't he get a TD that way in the Spring Game? He is a good receiver out of the backfield... Jay Harris

Not to mention they’re now relying on Carson Beck, who I see as more of a game manager than an ultra talented Cam Ward who can take over a game.

ESPN = Entire Sport Prognosis Nonsense
There's stupidity, and then there is stupidity on steroids, ESPN's FPI. Texas remains No. 1? Notre Dame, without playing, drops 2 spots? Unless one is trying to make bookies rich, stay away from this Fraudulent Prediction Idiocy. Right, Kalen? With apologies to Georgia, this latest poll doubles down on the embarrassment of the preseason poll, which ranked SEC Texas No. 1, Georgia No. 2, and Alabama No. 3, and eight SEC teams in the top 12, with Florida at No. 13. There's bias, and then there's Bias from Bristol, where the FPI is not sharp as a pistol. Of course, the then No. 14 USC would have a lot of MOmentum as the result of blowing out MO. State and jump eight spots to No. 6. Right? As to Archie's debut in Columbus, where he had more appearances in advertisements than he did TD passes, nothing to see here, move right along. SC defeats Georgia State this Saturday, a team that Week 1's, woefully underrated 🤪 No. 10-ranked Ole Miss bombed 63-7, and South Central should be the home of the highest-ranked It Just Means Less team. Any caring person would take the poor FPI to the Programming Doctor for a wellness check. 😁 But ESPN and Greg Sankey will carry on using this 🤬to justify the SEC's six at-large teams in the 2025-26 12-team PO. Mercy!

I suspect the game will draw good ratings. ND has a national draw with a good team and Cristo can't game coach but he knows how to recruit and is at home.

Big Ten Going to 20 Members in the Future?
I think the opposite since both those Universities would fit in better with the B1G from an academic and athletic perspective but I guess we’ll see. If the B1G wants to continue to compete with the SEC in football and bring in huge dollars then they should look to add the ACC football powerhouses - Clemson and FSU (and perhaps Miami).
