I Wish We Had a Receiver Like Becker From Indiana. Oh Wait...We Do.
Guy is certainly fast (not putting him down at all - he was awesome for UI) in suggesting where is "fastest" coming from? I guess he was more of a hurdle guy in high school, Athletic.net lists his PRs at 100m at 11.24 and 14.42 in the 110. WR Nyckoles Harbor at S.C. has ran 10.11 in the 100m and 20.20 in the 200m. Gatlin Bear joins college football with a 10.15 PR. For reference, Oregon's Devon Allen set the 110 state record in Arizona his senior year at 13.52. I believe I read something like 400 high school 100m runners broke 10.75 last year. The gap between 11.24 and 10.11 is pretty huge. 🤷♂️

Oregon Fans Are Absolutely the Best and EVERYONE Appreciates Having Oregon, and the Class They Bring, to the B1G Ten Conference
In my brief, albeit cursory, search, I can find absolutely nothing supporting the claim that Indiana’s roster averages 24 years old. Maybe? There are a couple 25 year olds, or gasp, a 30 year old, but I find no evidence of that either.

I have to say(especially after the thug Miami player was going after the Indiana player post game), that it's nice to see a team beat a team that thought they were really something special, the old fashioned way. Great coaching, a system that works, and good hard work and determination. The Heisman trophy winner, just icing on the cake!

Fantastic performances by the Hoo Hoo Hooooosiers all season long. I was ecstatic to see them win that hard fought game against (my hated) Hurricanes. Congratulations to the organization. One of the tv announcers mentioned that IU had the oldest team in college football ... averaging 24! WOW.

Add my congrats to you HD and the whole Hoosier family for a well-deserved championship that proves nothing is impossible, and for bringing a smile back to the face of college football.

Is Change Coming to Oregon?
Another interesting piece I'm seeing these days is the Jordan Seaton transfer portal recruitment. The Ducks sound like they are in it, for whatever that's worth and the number going around for his services is 3mil-ish. That's as much as our two newly promoted coordinators combined (more or less) for one player. In the past I think Dan would have given this a pass but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the NIL budget might have been given a bit of extra juice after the last loss.

Is Change Coming to Oregon?
With 5 DBs and 2 inside linebackers and only 2 big defensive linemen, the edge players have to do two jobs: be a defensive end when needed and be an athletic blitzing outside linebacker when needed. It is a tall order. The inside linebackers need to be faster and react quicker, which would help. When the edge players get locked up in a wrestling match with the offensive tackles, the QB has a lot of time to scan the field. I think the key to winning games is having the best offensive tackles and edge players on your team. Which is why I feel that the 2019 team was such a disappointment because they had the best O tackle and best edge in all of college football that year. A 3 man D line will not work because you always need a blitzer and option plays will pick that apart. Oregon needs to recruit to fill the prototype of the edge player because not many top edges make it to the portal. I also think that aggressive DBs can help on the run game, taking some of the pressure off the edge players. Oregon edge players need to be sack machines.

Ducks No. 4 in Final AP Ranking
The SEC has not increased its number of ranked teams from the preseason AP Poll to the final AP Poll for 7 straight years now. 2019: 6 to 5 2020: 7 to 4 2021: 5 to 5 2022: 6 to 6 2023: 6 to 6 2024: 9 to 7 2025: 10 to 7 Maybe they should stop ranking more than 6 SEC teams in the preseason? In 2025, pre-season ranked teams which did not make the final ranking: LSU, S. Carolina, Florida, Tennessee. Though, Vandy was unranked and ended up in the Top 25. But, those early rankings helped the SEC to build their rankings "resume."

Becker showed it's possible to make catches even when your QB throws into coverage. You don't have to have a two-step separation, or your QB doesn't have to wait until you do and risk a sack.

Ducks No. 4 in Final AP Ranking
Thanks, H Duck, for posting the AP Poll - I posted the same poll below only because it comes from the AP source. No. 17 Iowa is ranked behind No. 15 Vandy, of course. After the loss to Iowa, Vandy dropped two spots; Iowa did not move up from its ranking after the win over Vandy. No. 26 Illinois and No. 27 UW would be favored over the four G6 teams that finished in the top 25. As noted above, OBD finishes No. 4, one spot ahead of Ohio State. Dropping one spot only after sour peaches is generous. AP NewsNCAA College Football Rankings: AP Top 25 Football PollThe official page for the AP Top 25 college football poll, a tradition since 1936.
