To continue the questions… How many bandwagon fans jump off the bandwagon now? How loud does the cry to “Dump Mario” get? When does GK to something about the abysmally poor referees deciding the outcome of PAC 12 games? When will the targeting rule be fixed?

So, what is the answer? Fire Cristobal? I don’t think that is gonna happen. Even if you did, who you gonna replace him with? For a bunch of youngsters, incredibly talented as they are, I think you have to let them learn from this and grow. Most on this honorable site felt this team was a two loss team at best, before the season began, the they upended tOSU. and suddenly they were playoff material. I was the one with the 15-0 pipe dream, I didn’t really think they could do it, but I sure wanted them to. I am bummed, disgusted with the penalties (both deserved, and undeserved), aggravated by some of the play calls, and aggravated even more with some of AB’s decision making. But at the end of the day, I remind myself, this is a game, played by kids, who are still learning to be men. A game can only have one winner, and sometimes the breaks go the other way. Am I happy with the loss? No. But I think MC has things moving in a direction I will be happy to continue to watch.

I watched the full game on YouTube last week and the week before. There are usually several highlight clips of 10 to 20 minutes, but there is a full recording of each game within 6 hours or less.

I absolutely echo the sentiment! The FishDuck site just keeps getting better and better. With great foresight, much passion and an insane amount of work, Charles has created a haven for Ducks to flock to. It is a safe place to share your thoughts and concerns about our Mighty Ducks and know that even if other fans disagree, you can learn and grow, without being attacked for your opinion. That is something entirely too rare on today’s internet, on for that Mr. FishDuck, we thank you and applaud your tenacity! Well done sir, well done indeed!

This just reminds me in so many ways of the time when Darron Thomas left before his senior year. He didn’t have the transfer portal available back then, so he chose to declare for the NFL. Eithe way, the supposed front runner left because he saw he would not be able to beat out an uber-talented newcomer. (MM then ?? now) While I wish TS all the best in his future, I think this bodes well for the Ducks at the QB position. Whoever gets the starting job will have effectively beat out one of the top 3 QBs in the PAC12 for 2020.

Good for Tyler, and I wish home great success. I do have to wonder if he did it because he thought he might drop to 3rd in the OR QB room...

1FD makes a very good point, often when a DC or OC goes, one or more seriously talented kids go with them. Not the case in Eugene. I think the next man up mantra goes through and through. The Oregon Brand is drawing the best and brightest to usher in a bright new era of Duck football.

A couple of homers? I gotta go OR, OR, OR, Eugene as well David. I personally think the Ducks have the 3 of the 5 best hats in all of college football!

I alway want beavers to do well (other than the during game with no name). as a 4th generation Oregonian, I like the Beavs second best in the state.

Max Unger at C, Kyle Long at RG, and Jake Fisher at RG. Your TE is Ed Dickson, and at WR you have Josh Huff and Devon Allen. Your RBs are Royce Freeman and DeAnthony Thomas. At QB, you have your choice of the following starting Oregon Quarterbacks since the 2000 season. You can choose from Joey Harrington, Jason Fife, Kellen Clemens, Dennis Dixon, Jeremiah Masoli, Darron Thomas, Marcus Mariota, Vernon Adams, or Justin Herbert. All these guys are at their peak collegiate form. You have a virtual plethora of leadership talent at your fingertips! Who ya gonna call, and why? Hint, it doesn’t matter, cause with that offense, you will not be denied! For me, I am gonna bring out #8, Marcus Mariota. My reasoning is that the 2014 Heisman Trophy winner had a QB rating of 181.7 his final year, connecting on 304 out of 445 attempts for 4,454 yards, 42 TDS with only 4 Interceptions. While Justin Herbert had a better NFL rookie season than MM, I think that is more about the team than the player. Captain Comeback was given his moniker for a reason, as was Big Play VA. FishDuck commenters, I am very much looking forward to your responses to this post. This site is graced by some of the most knowledgeable fans I have ever heard or read, and I look forward to your thoughts! I keep wondering (I’ll leave it to the learned contributors of this forum to educate me) what JM has done in the past? Not only is he OC, he is the QB coach. Does he lean toward giving the future QB some playing time, or will he play the best he’s got for 4 Qtrs? He seemed willing to change things up late this year for sure. Either way, with the talent and leadership in the QB room, coupled with a new and talented DC coaching up some of the most talented group of defensive players we’ve ever had, Duck fans have a lot to look forward to! Go Ducks!
