  1. This makes me nervous as well. But as long as we have Dante Moore and what is presumably a more explosive passing offense this upcoming season then Jurrion should be sticking around.
  2. I really hope he stays healthy for this last year. He's got Jacob Breeland type of receiving potential.
  3. My family got hit with it over the last couple weeks. Symptoms aren't too bad but this latest variant sticks with you longer than the previous ones did so you have to isolate even more. My 3 year old got it first nearly 2 weeks ago and finally had a negative test yesterday, my wife caught it from him just a couple days after and is still positive as of yesterday. I got it from one of them this past weekend so I'm expecting it to take at least to next week before it clears up for the entire family. Ugh!
  4. Exactly. At least if USC stayed in the Pac-12 LR would only have to worry about Oregon and Utah...in the B10 it's going to be way harder.
  5. LR is a brilliant offensive-minded coach. The problem is that when he runs into an equally brilliant *defensive*-minded coach, he comes up short. It's why Baylor's Dave Aranda has been Riley's kryptonite recently. It's only going to get worse for him as he goes up against higher quality defenses in the B10.
  6. Jealousy breeds ignorance. USC fans know the condoms football program has been at best mediocre for the better part of 20 years now. In that time Oregon has risen, become the Pac12 standard, and eaten USC's lunch every year. Instead of admitting it, Trojans ignore facts and buy into inflated hype every dang year. It's a vicious but very silly cycle for them.
  7. Probably to prevent competing programs from having him.
  8. I love it! He's a unanimous 4-star so he should be a very solid get for Oregon!
  9. It would be an enormous shame if the Rose Bowl went away. But given the current state of things, I can realistically see the Pac12 move off to a Pac12/ACC bowl game in Las Vegas should they come to some kind of alliance-type agreement.
  10. That's interesting, in what way? Only thing I could think of is that only west coast and late night owls would appreciate that program.
  11. The sheer potential of a Dante Moore/Jurrion Dickey passing offense is just too tantalizing not to speculate about, it's going to be a wild ride watching these guys develop!
  12. If he could trim down to around 330, he'll be a nightmare in the conference.
  13. Samu Taumanupepe's athletic ability reminds me of Jordon Scott when he committed to Oregon. Similar fire hydrant body type. Jordon ultimately lost some weight during his freshman year to shape up and be a great NT (his last year not withstanding).
  14. I hope the Ducks dedicate the upcoming season to his memory. It would be a small but meaningful silver lining to an otherwise awful event.
  15. Aw jeez you hate to see something like this happening to these kids. I feel terrible for his family, such horrible tragedy...
  16. +1000 To me that's the ceiling for Oregon next season. Will they reach it? Maybe. Would it be a horrendous failure if they went 11-2 or 10-3? Nope. A double digit win season in the first year of a coaching regime change is a big win in my book.
  17. Utah is probably the most important game because they're the current Pac12 champs and the road goes right through them. That being said, Georgia is the most important for setting the tone of the season. If Oregon plays the Bulldogs competitively and stays within a TD or two in a loss, it sends a message to the rest of the conference that DL and his staff aren't messing around and have the Ducks already performing at a high level right out of the gate.
  18. Given the huge amount of market penetration by streaming services like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Apple+, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if GK is using that as a backstop in negotiations. ESPN very much knows that the other streaming providers will eat their lunch if they're not careful.
  19. SOURCES: Remaining Pac-12 Schools Expected to Announce Sticking Together UTAH.RIVALS.COM Sometimes the best move to make is not making a major move at all. As USC and UCLA accepted invitations to the Big 10… Obviously these "sources" aren't revealed so no one can really say if they're legit ones or not. But assuming for the moment that it's true, could GK be planning something big by buying time for a year or two?
  20. I wouldn't mind him coming back to Oregon as the OC but I don't know if his ego will allow that.
  21. Doesn't change the calculus for me. I think believe the Pac12 should form a super conference in some form with the ACC and at least some B12 teams. The combined entity should be competitive enough to get at least a couple times into an expanded CFP or at least one team into the current CFP.
  22. Admittedly Dillingham has a low bar to hurdle when it comes to improvement given the last couple years of sub-par QB play/development. So I think no matter what, we'll see a visible improvement in QB play for the upcoming season. Whether it's a step or a leap forward will also depend greatly on the skill positions as we'll have new/young starters at WR and RB.
  23. That's a fantastic pickup for Oregon T&F! I can't imagine there are many things more inviting for recruits than a coach who can legitimately claim that he coached 28 olympians, not to mention multiple NCAA titles.
  24. This should make for an interesting competition for the upcoming season. Dante's been a starter from freshman to senior in high school and is considered a very polished recruit compared to other high school kids. It's possible he could push the rest of the QB room in the Fall, not saying he would start but he could conceivably leapfrog at least one of the other QBs in the pecking order.
