Will Conference Championship Games Replace the Old Pac 12 Cannibalization?
Glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks they need to die. 2026 should be 16-20 team playoff and no conference championships.

OBD Prediction Contest for Pac-12 Championship: Join Us!
Oregon 31-20 1 3 333 Assumes recent trends hold, our D is better, Penix is worse and UW's D is better, especially in the second half, our coaches wise up and UW OC Grub makes a few stupid play calls to kill opportunities.

Ashton Cozart to Transfer
Tez doesn't have the size to be drafted. He can make more on NIL than he'll get on an NFL practice squad. I'd be shocked if he doesn't use up the remainder of his eligibility.

DJ Uiagalelei Enters Portal
I think by next year Ty Thompson will be similar to better than DJU in every way. We have QBs beating our door down right now to get our NIL and Stein's coaching. DL and Stein will be picky.

PAC12 Championship SOLD OUT
PAC12 website says tickets are sold out for tomorrow's championship game. I checked and Allegiant Stadium holds 65,000 people. Does anybody else remember the championships in Levi's Stadium that were embarrassingly empty of people? PAC12 did 2 good things: moving the championship to Vegas and getting rid of divisions so we aren't in the same fail boat as Ohio State. Wish I could be there, but I'll enjoy the game at home.

The Most Nervous EVER? This is the WORST Week...
I'm just happy to be in a playoff quarterfinal. Win the next 3 games and we're national champions. Can't complain.

Ducks and Huskies Pursuing Cam Ward?
Why do you equate the absence of money to wholesomeness, innocence and fun? If I recall correctly Millionaire Bo Nix and his wife were handing out free donuts at the dorms on the first day of class, he discusses his faith, and he's having plenty of fun on the field still.

12 Team Playoff Will Dilute the Regular Football Season
This. I've always thought that the argument "There are only 4 good teams that could win anyways" is a bad argument. It's a self fulfilling prophecy is what it is. Increase the playoffs to 12 teams and every year thee will eventually be 12 competitive teams as recruits redistribute themselves to playoff contenders that offer a better chance to play. Increase it to 16 same thing Maybe over 20 and you will just be having spoilers in there every year, but that's a long ways from 4. As others have said, you will have lower ranked teams that are hot at the end of the season that could potentially beat anybody, like an Arizona team and it's worth capturing them in the playoffs.

Oregon Ducks Football: Huskies Being Underestimated?
I'd like think I'm seeing continuous improvement in deficient areas from last season to this season and during this season. Therefore I am optimistic that players and coaches will do better in this game than the last time we played them. I don't think you can say the same for UW as a team. Yes, they are excellent at playing up to the moment, but I don't think it will be enough to overcome a Duck team that has improved holistically.

12 Team Playoff Will Dilute the Regular Football Season
I am so sick of every game being a playoff game. Good riddance. I just want to enjoy my team playing and feel happy when they win, rather than feeling relieved they didn't lose.

Tonight's Playoff Ranking....is Crucial for Oregon
I'd love that. Go Bama and FSU this week!
-
Tonight's Playoff Ranking....is Crucial for Oregon
If FSU is #2 and we are #3 don't we play them? And 1 plays 4?

Official College Football Playoff Rankings No. 5
Interesting that you have to get down to #13 to see a team with a worse record placed above a team with a better record. Then you think about the situation with FSU and with Texas and Bama... This committee puts a lot of weight into who is most deserving. More than years past for sure.

Official College Football Playoff Rankings No. 5
I think this is correct. The fact FSU didn't budge tells everyone FSU is in unless they lose. Regardless of the eye test we won't jump them with one loss.

Oregon’s Strange Red Zone Problem
You'd have to think that short yardage/finishing drives is the biggest focus for the offense this week. Players and coaches. UW defense rises to the occasion, we need to too. Isn't it great we get one more day to prepare than UW?

Is Michael Penix Broken?
This is UW coach on the end of the game and how Penix is doing: Washington OC Ryan Grubb comments on Michael Penix Jr.’s health, reaction to game-winning FG SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb comments on Michael Penix Jr.'s health ahead of the Pac-12... I've got no further comment on this subject. We'll just have to see how he plays and how the game goes. It would really stink if he's played like crap in all of the games since we played him and suddenly balls-out against us again.

Please Help Bo's Heisman Campaign
Thank you so much! Who can take the points per drive and 60 minutes extrapolation data and post in Twitter per the original post in this topic? Could be both a thread with the methodology and breakdown as well as a single tweet with just comparison of the totals (pts per drive, and extrapolated totals if they'd played the full 60 minutes of every game). Header for the tweet could be: "Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels stats aren't so different once you normalize them to the number of opportunities they had."

Tonight's Playoff Ranking....is Crucial for Oregon
I think it will be UW 3, FSU 4, OSU 5 and Oregon 6 Texas 7 Once Oregon beats #3 they will jump to 3 due to improved SOS and SOR while, OSU will jump 4 at best as UW drops behind the Texas-Alabama. If FSU is moved lower it shouldn't matter to us, but it will be the talk of the country if it happens.

They Are Ready To Rumble!
So many players break the tape nowadays, but DAT was the OG.

Please Help Bo's Heisman Campaign
This is excellent too! Bo doesn't have to beat Jayden Daniels straight up on the stat lines, it just has to be somewhat close.

Please Help Bo's Heisman Campaign
This article is why we need to do this exercise! Jayden Daniels for Heisman: LSU touts QB leading 25 of 30 categories as ‘the guy, and it’s not close’ WWW.SATURDAYDOWNSOUTH.COM Jayden Daniels for the Heisman Trophy is coming down to the stretch run. Can somebody help do Jayden Daniels' game time adjusted stats like we did Bo Nix so we can get an apples to apples stat comparison to send out to the masses please?

Oregon’s Strange Red Zone Problem
I was heartened to see them go back to putting James in for the short yardage specialty. He's so good at picking up a few yards like a bowling ball breaking through legs like pins.
-
Please Help Bo's Heisman Campaign
Awesome! Thank you so much. I'm curious how they will compare to Jayden Daniels adjusted numbers, but those numbers by themselves are outrageous!

Last Pac-12 After Dark Brought Tears
Always feel bad for the employees, but they will find another job at a better organization. I'll never shed tears over PAC12 after bedtime. It's criminal to do that to 20 year old athletes in school along with their fan base.

Ultimate Irony, Can-You-Believe-It?
Michigan State is also the place where they did nothing to stop the sports doctor that molested the entire US Gymnastics team after doing the same to the MSU gymnastics team for years if I remember correctly.
