Alabama Slides to Their 5th or 6th HC Choice?
Looking forward to the next article: Which Washington Players could Oregon Potentially Pursue After DeBoer Leaves?

ENJOY the DeBoer Saga!
I agree. UW fans are calling for Jedd Fisch, who I think probably has better long term upside than Deboer, and he can bring his staff Noah Fifita with him. Frankly I think Alabama would have been better of with Fisch or the Missouri coach. Both can recruit, put together a staff a coach the game.

Something to Think About Before You Hit ‘Submit’
The Dr. Pepper commercial hits too close for comfort "Guys! That was the first play of the game.."

Dan Lanning Offers High-ceiling Outlook for Oregon Ducks' Football Future
If Lanning wasn't loyal he would have been offered, because he was most likely at the top of Bama's list by all accounts. So whether he actually was or wasn't offered is an irrelevant technicality.

ENJOY the DeBoer Saga!
At this point Norvell has the biggest motive to want the job. FSU just got sanctioned yesterday for recruiting violations. That combined with being stuck in the ACC...I'd have to think he wants out of there.

ENJOY the DeBoer Saga!
If Deboer goes, Washington beating Oregon in the PAC12 championship game will in hindsight be winning the battle but losing the war. I'm not sure Deboer is so desirable if they finished the regular season with two losses and just outside the top 10. Oh, and if DeBoer goes I expect Grubb to go with him rather than take over as HC. But that is speculation on top of speculation at this point.

Lanning Leaving: What We Know... (WHEW!)
Bama Wish List: 1 Smart 2 Sarkisian 3 Lanning 4 Norvell 5 Kiffin 6 DeBoer When you remove those who have a better situation at their current school, the list drops to: 1 Norvell 2 Kiffin 3 Deboer My 2 cents.

Reports: Oregon HC Dan Lanning a 'Top Target' for Alabama HC Vacancy
Byrne is called the Ninja because he hires so quick and stealthy. Whatever is going to happen, will be done with in a few days, certainly before the weekend is over.

Reports: Oregon HC Dan Lanning a 'Top Target' for Alabama HC Vacancy
He's turned down A&M, and if he turns down Bama, then I'm not sure just how many teams would bother trying anymore if all he is going to do is turn you down and make you look like an undesirable program to coach at.

Reports: Oregon HC Dan Lanning a 'Top Target' for Alabama HC Vacancy
I'm going to watch Pate tonight to get his thoughts on BAMA as a program in the NIL/portal age. For all I know Bama is struggling a bit with NIL and the portal. It's not a wealthy state. Perhaps the struggles this year were the writing on the wall for Saban. It's hard enough having his coaches get poached every year, now if the NIL/Portal is another hurdle he has to overcome that other programs don't, then

Reports: Oregon HC Dan Lanning a 'Top Target' for Alabama HC Vacancy
Not surprising at all. DL could also see this as improving his odds of winning an NC at Oregon, with no Saban in the way, and if Harbaugh leaves...can anybody really convince Dan he is more likely to win a championship at Bama than Oregon? The resources are similar, recruiting will be a bit easier, but playing Kirby all the time?

Nick Saban is Retiring!
This hot take bettors list is hotter than the face of the sun. Most of those names have no chance. It takes 2 to make deal.

Pete Carroll Out in Seattle
There are 7 HC openings in the NFL at the moment. That being said, after the Urban Meyer, Chip Kelly and Cliff Klingsburry busts, I would think front offices would be very hesitant about going after a high octane offensive minded college coach. Now a proven NFL coach like Harbaugh is a different story. Combined with the Saban news, the coaching carousel is getting very interesting this year, not because of HC being pushed out, but instead HCs being pulled out.

Putting Lanning’s Second Year into Perspective
Also, it was the quality of Taggarts recruits living up to their ratings that alongside Herbert enabled the ducks to win the Rose Bowl in 2019 and keep Oregon relevant.

CFP National Championship Postgame Discussion
I could a sworn after the game when Harbaugh shook Odunze's hand he said "I'll be bringing you with me to the Chargers."

CFP National Championship Postgame Discussion
Washington beat Oregon and Texas playing their best ball. They made critical errors against UM that killed drives. That being said UM is the best team in the country this year, and 8 times out of 10 we would have lost to them. Both these teams will lose a bunch of players and maybe even their HCs next year while we will likely improve everywhere except possibly the DLine.

CFP National Championship Postgame Discussion
Washington kept it respectable most of the game in spite of their mistakes, but ultimately lost. Oregon HC with the great GameDay and halftime analysis commentary just letting college football know we aren't going anywhere. What a great end to the season!
-
DAN THE MAN ON ESPN GAMEDAY
He killed it at halftime too. Dan-with-a-Plan Lanning: Win a Natty at Oregon, then go into retirement and become a commentator. In seriousness this is the best thing he could possibly do as a coach to keep Oregon in everyone's mind during the NC even though we aren't even playing.

Oregon Ducks Spring Ball: Who’s on Your Radar?
Agree 99%. Only exception is Kasper. He never comes down with the ball. If I'm going to go with someone like that I'd pick Lowe, the legacy kid who has flashed way more in his limited play.

Burch is Back for 2024
You're not wrong, but fortunately there is only one Michael Penix, and he won't be on UW's roster going forward.

Liberty Receiver to Visit Oregon? The Mystery Visitor is...
Oh wow, I thought for sure he was headed to Auburn. They must have come up with a solid NIL deal to keep him.
-
I Am Rooting for the Huskies
I've thought about whether or not I should root for the Huskies or not. I will only root for them as far as it benefits the Ducks, in that they are the only team we lost to all year. Working with that, I want UW to be competitive, keeping the outcome in doubt until the 4th quarter, showing that they are a great tough team, FPI and recruiting stars be darned. I don't want them to appear dominated, which would make people disregard UW success as just another TCU type team. BUT I DON'T WANT THEM TO WIN!

Oregon LB Jeffrey Bassa Announces Return for 2024 Season
Bassa was not good in prior years, but he significantly improved this year, and combined with his stellar leadership and lack of portal transfers, this has turned out to be a really big deal. The only question marks left of on the 2024 roster are the big boys in the middle of the DL..
-
Will Howard Commits to Ohio State
USC only needs a solid backup QB. They have a clear starter, that makes the TP a bit different for them. They will have to look for a Dante Moore type situation of someone young with high potential just looking for development not playing time, which is very very rare.

Ducks Shine In ESPN Top 2023 Players Ranking ... 4 In Top 51
Penix is the most accurate passer I've ever seen, and a baller. Any really good team would be a fool not to pick him up in the back half of the first round.
