I endorse this. IMO USC will never respect us, Alabama will never respect us…etc.

More on UO/tOSU, Blue Chip Ratios, and the Future
JabbaNoBargain replied to AnotherOD's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I don’t think anyone believes that NIL number. I’m also starting to think it just happens to be that tOSU had the best roster in 2024/25 and there is no deep problem to solve aside from our great recent recruiting classes bubbling to the surface more as the original post demonstrates. We managed to beat the best team once at home and win the conference that saw the eventual champ finish 3rd in, they just kicked our butts in the tournament, it happens. -

HOF level post. The real question remains how did tOSU lose to Michigan at home. -

The two teams playing right now would disagree. -
Oregon Loses at Home Again! Purdue 65 Oregon 58

Can’t have a starting guard be this irrelevant on offense in 2025. This entire game was bad offensively, but big picture, have to have 2 good starting guards to do anything meaningful. -

Couldn’t be more right, probably won’t sustain, but a great ride for a 2 years. -
Koetter Say Oregon Offered BSU D-player After Fiesta

Oh, this was supposed to be a negative? Not like they offered the night before we played them or something. -
Oregon is Elite, but Not Top-Tier Elite
JabbaNoBargain replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
When the top-4 seeds in a 12-team tournament go 0-4 you can’t really argue the format worked imo. That’s a botched formula no matter how hard ESPN spins it. -

Good read. I would say it’s still an unknown. The narrative will shift dramatically if tOSU cruises to a championship versus getting boat-raced by Texas. or what if PSU beats tOSU in the title game? Two teams in the championship game that we went 2-1 against equals pretty top-end in my book. TBD (imo) -
Notre Dame Beats Georgia 23-10 in the Sugar Bowl
JabbaNoBargain replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
If the mighty SEC gets 1 team in the final 4 they won’t be happy and they’re pretty much in charge of CFB. IMO, ND is a horrible draw for a first game for the SEC champ. Second worst draw of the tournament. -
Agree, but I’d add the overall ratio is one element, though a key element. Of the two deep for each side, the number of guys getting drafted to the NFL in the first 3 rounds is probably double in their favor.

Georgia losing will get the playoff format changed quickly. -
I’ll say it again, imo they had better players at every position group outside of maybe QB. If the team with better players plays better on game day, they usually win. We got the B- version of them in round 1 at home and won by a point. This time we got the A+ version and got smoked.

He’s fine imo, we just lost to the A+ version of the best roster in cfb.

The Biggest Rose Bowl Shock: It's OVER
JabbaNoBargain replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Definitely that bit of the next day depression of it’s all over. I mean, to go 13-0 and get bush whacked by a team from our own conference is just sudden. That being said, I was never really truly of the belief this was the year to win it all. I thought we’d go 11-2 and win a playoff game or two. So despite the playoff flop, we actually exceeded my true expectations. Need to beef up that o-line and have a couple more high end players in the secondary IMO…and a true NFL caliber, power HB thrown into the mix please. -

Jimmy's and Joes imo, pretty cut and dry. The team with the most talent in the country showed up at a neutral site. -

Good season. My take (imo!) is that the offensive line wasn’t on par with the rest of the talent on this team. We probably should have been 10-2, but had enough other talent to barely outflank the handful of teams that exposed our oline (Idaho, BSU, Wisconsin). I also think the secondary was relatively (compared to top teams) subpar, but good enough for most teams on the schedule. That and tOSU is probably the best team…though I’m not sure how we would have fared in the next round against the remaining field. -
Just don’t see the NFL at all in this stage of his career.

Texas vs. Clemson GameDay Thread!
JabbaNoBargain replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I really think this one has the best chance at an upset. Clemson has underachieved a bit, but they’ve got the roster to do it. -
Totally agree. OBD just went 13-0 in our first year of the B1G, something rarely done by anyone recently in the real PAC. Two of our closest games were out of conference against teams from the state of Idaho. Given the on-field results, OBD did not really find this to be a step up in competition…but the money and exposure sure is nice

Should Oregon NOT Add-On to Autzen?
JabbaNoBargain replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Absolutely should expand. I think it’s charming we can tout always being over capacity, but we need the operational funds and more capacity for the mega-games.
