And at least at this point we have a full staff now. Who knows about next week with coach poaching.

If I remember correctly Scott did try to expand the PAC. Texas was in then it fell apart due to Texas. Was this Scott or the presidents fault. Then the TV network. I remember it being discussed as a brilliant idea at the time. Is that Scott's fault or just the time zone problem with the rest of the country, lack of interest or something else What do you think?

Buffs Receiver Should be on Ducks Watch List in Portal

Could happen because of his dad's connection with Nike -
Even Don McLean analyst with PAC ntwk said he thinks this game is the turning point for the Ducks.

Agreed 1000%. He was a great player for us sorry to lose him. I believe that the red shirt should be done away with. GWe are losing technically 4 Jr that should be back for next year but because 4th year Jr are eligible for the draft if they red shirt they are only here for 3. At least if they play we get them 4

2023 Four-Star CB Cole Martin Commits to the Ducks!

He's our 1st 23 recruit. -
I would hate to move out of our time zone. Just think of all the 9 am games and thousands miles air flights. Yuck Also all we need is to understand with all the schools recruiting in a basically small footprint (West Coast lowest population base) I believe it's unlikely to impossible for more than 2 to 4 good teams in any one season. But as pointed out the acc has only 1 to 2 good teams and that's enough. There has to be a another answer, unless there's a country wide super conference. That would change everything.

Lanning’s Bulldog Defense: I’m Impressed, Are You?

I disagree. Watch the Fresno State game again. KT was KT until he got rolled up on. Dorlis Sewell and Flowe were monsters but still young. B Williams was a surprise DB. V McKinley was flying around. There's more I just can't think of them. -
Let’s Be Thankful For the Coaches Who Have Left Oregon
Duck 1972 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Again why do we expect these guys to not be human like the rest of us. I don't know for sure but it's an educated guess that's it's very few of our community here at OBD who stayed or is staying at the same job or didn't take a promotion for their whole lives. How can we hold them to a higher standard than the rest of us hold ourselves to. IMHO that's a horrible thing to do. Just because "we" wanted them to stay. Why are our feelings more important than theirs. Well it's said he gave us his word. I whole heartedly agree that's important. In fact I believe it's one best character factors a person can have. But I also see it as a lose/lose question of will he stay forever. What's he going to say. I believe a person who would make a forever promise is lying. Their is no way a person can do that as nothing is permanent in this world. Nothing!!! Now anyone can believe that things can be permanent but that doesn't make it so in reality. IMHO more so than less so. Happy New Year everyone. Now to the Feb Signing Day. -

Agreed plus we added Tucker and a LB - can't think of his name. And I believe more is on the way -
We ran We ran the ball got the lead didn't cede it didn't allow explosive plays controlled the clock and didn't turn the ball over. An in the zone game. I believe that this team peaked and was reasonably healthy for that game.

They just don't have the talent to beat a blue blood.

They are a great offense.

330 Pound Husky Defensive Tackle, Taimani to Oregon?
Duck 1972 replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
My nephew pitched for the Beavs in 06 and got in altercation with UW player after he was crowding the plate and leaning into pitches. My nephew pitched high and tight which is what you're supposed to do and the guy charged the mound. Nephew threw glove on the ground and motioned him to come on. No punches were thrown and for some reason our coaches were mad at my nephew. Never understood that. Still don't to this day. The game was in Seattle and the fans were rude and obnoxious even in baseball. -
Can it say AFLAC ?

WR Coach Fallout: Husky Hatred Hurtling Higher at Ducks
Duck 1972 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Lol. I agree with you 1000%. I remember it distinctly from the 70's on to today. I would feel a little compassion for anybody else going through what they are going through, but not Washington. -
tOSu weakness was in LB and DB exactly what 12/13 personnel exposes.
-
Maybe showing how large loss of starters really matters. Can that be the reason for our up and down season. Also Utes look pretty good with using 12/13 personnel, our defense"s bugaboo all season long. I'd like to to talk about 2 major season ending injuries in particular. Losing J Flowe and CJ Verdel. I believe our season would have significantly improved without this happening. I know injuries occur but we lost so many starters for the season throughout the season. another big one was losing Bennett Williams who was playing amazing in our defensive backfield. What do you think?

Now...Do you think that Cincinnati Belonged?
Duck 1972 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
An undefeated season is reason enough for them to be there. Several years ago tOSU shouldn't have been there. They didn't even win their conference. Then first game as #4 seed they beat mighty #1 seed Bama. Then they beat #2 us in championship game. I believe it's the only #4 seed to win it all. I know it's tOSU not Cincinnati but it still shows an underdog can win it all. -

I can't believe any coach with any sense would not have an open competition. You don't guarantee a spot to a lesser player or u lose the team. Nix has 1 thing the others don't he has the advantage of experience. A lot more experience. Familiarity with the offensive system. And as Jon has pointed out he was playing great this year before he broke his ankle. I don't know how bad. Can we give him a chance before pronouncing him no good. As we all saw AB looked a lot better when given more opportunities.
