  1. Louisville recovers a Miami fumble, another TD pass for Shough, 31-31.
  2. Before the season started, none of us looked at the schedule and said, "whew, at least we don't play Indiana". Whew now. After they get done whacking Nebraska, Washington shows up next week, then at Michigan State, Michigan at home, Bye, then Indiana @ Ohio State, in a game that could blow OSU completely to bits, then it's home against Purdue. Unless Indiana stubs every toe on every player's foot, it looks like the worse they'll be going into the B!G Champioship Game is 11-1.
  3. Talk about a surprise. Last year Indy was 3-9. This year, new team, new coach, now they're 6-0, with one of the best scoring offenses in the country. Now it's 28-7 Indiana.
  4. Right now, it would help if Nebraska beat Indiana. Not looking like that's going to happen. Indiana @ Ohio State on Nov.23 will probably get "Gameday".
  5. Another TD pass for Shough, Miami 17 Louisville 14.
  6. Miami takes a 17-7 lead, Virginia leads Clemson, 10-3.
  7. No field goals allowed in Nebraska @ Indiana, Indy is 50-50 0n 4th &2, Nebraska just went for it on 4th & 2, Dowdell fumbled, but was short anyway.
  8. Well, Indiana tries it again on 4th & 2, this time Nebraska sacks the QB for a yard loss.
  9. Nebraska gets a very crucial 1st down to avoid punting from inside their own 5. But now they punt from the 12. If Indiana goes up 14-0 in the first 10 minutes...
  10. It's supposed to be that a tough defense will slow down a great offense, Indiana's offense has been great, but Nebraska's D is the best that Indiana has faced this season. Indy goes for it on 4th & 2 , gets it and TD on the next play, the first rushing TD Nebraska has allowed this season.
  11. From 49 to 0 in a week has to be a record, congrats, Purdue!
  12. Some Purdue fan reaction: This was far more of a game than I thought. Was it only one or two 3 and outs? Offense did move the ball, but kept shooting themselves in the foot. After the first 3 drives ended in TD’s the defense finally got off the field. I mean it sucks to be shut out - no denying that - and to continuously see poor fundamentals is maddening. In some sense I have to wonder what the offense would be like had Browne been given the keys at the start of the year. Maybe the offense is a little more competent and this game is a bit closer. Not seeing an upside in dispensing with Walters just yet. Things are changing. A month ago I think we lose by 70+. "more of a game than I thought" I died a little reading this. What part was the "game"? They scored 3 touchdowns on opening drives of 75, 80, and 99 yards, all less than 5 minutes, none with a play over 50 yards, and only 2 plays over 30 yards, the rest were 10, 15, 20 yards plays on nearly every other play. Walters should be packing his office right now.
  13. It looks like two weeks minimum before even practice is possible.
  14. Terrance Ferguson injury update: Oregon TE had appendix removed ahead of Week 8 - On3 WWW.ON3.COM .
  15. As I was watching the game, I was thinking there was something different about this Oregon team. It clearly is the defense. That 5 of 7 games is a remarkable stat, and as Lanning said, "Lot's to improve on". Wow.
  16. Tomorrow will be full of good games, Miami @ Louisville, 9:00 on ABC, Nebraska @ Indiana, 9:00 on Fox, Miami games aren't interesting until the last two minutes. Alabama @ Tennessee, 12:30 ABC and No.5 Georgia @ No.1 Texas, 4:30 on ABC.
  17. Tim Brando has been around a long time, and I've always liked his game. I'm not familiar with the analyst, but both he and Brando definitely knew who the Ducks were and were as supportive to Purdue, in a 35-0 loss, as possible.
  18. , Next Week Rutgers @ USC Kickoff 8:00 PST
  19. Looks like Joel came out a little Klatt with this: "What do we see all the time in college football? Teams underperform the week after their most emotional win," Klatt said on his preview podcast. "We saw it with Alabama losing to Vanderbilt after beating Georgia. I think that we see it with Oregon and Purdue." "I'm not suggesting that Purdue is going to win the game, but 27.5 points is too much," Klatt said, speaking of the betting odds." (Oregon) is traveling 2,000 miles, and they have to play them on a Friday night. Friday night road games for the favorite never go well for those teams."
  20. Very rare for an RB in this NFL, and RB's rarely get the big$$$ that other positions do in their 2nd contracts.
