  1. Take note of who Keith is talking to in the first scene.
  2. But other than letting them buy out Jimbo, what has it done for them?
  3. The Ohio State fan can count, 102,000 - 62,000 = 40,000 is correct. The assumption that the discrepancy creates lower volume though is a major miscalculation.
  4. Just saw an article, the gist of which was, "USC fans now getting their fun watching Caleb Williams & Sam Darnold in the NFL"
  5. Yeah, that's probably true. Oh well.
  6. Empathy for Trojan fans? I'm not there, but I have to give them credit for understanding their situation and possibly realizing there's nothing they can do about it, The Carroll years were great, he was charismatic, the players were great, and he didn't really have to be a great recruiter, USC pretty much did that on automatic back then. But, I think that lack of foundation has led to the deterioration of the program we're seeing now. Oregon is picking players out of USC's backyard. Not even just USC, CJ Stroud went to high school at Rancho Cucamonga, went to Ohio State. The coaches after Carroll? Lane Kiffin; left on a tarmac, now a success at Ole Miss. Ed Orgeron; wasn't SC, won a championship at LSU. Clay Helton? Also wasn't really A -List enough. Donte Williams? No. Lincoln Riley!!!! Until it's turning out he isn't the leading man that USC needs. The casting call will start soon.
  7. Hot off the press Scrap 2 news: Oregon State has flipped a Wyoming Commit. They're going crazy in Beaver Nation!!!!
  8. OBD is 1-4 ATS so far. The line for this one opened at Ohio State -2.5, last I looked, it had moved to -3.0, still not enough betting on the Ducks.
  9. Not only is Jeremiah Smith a super talented WR for Ohio State, he's 6'3, 215, going against undersized Corners for the Ducks, an "objective" B1G Ref is going to think he would have caught that if he hadn't been interfered with. Aside from officiating doesn't dictate outcome, I've had this in my mind.
  10. Dan Lanning and OBD remind me of Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions. The Lions are new to NFL elite, lots of talent, including a left tackle named Penei Sewell, but they make mistakes sometimes. Campbell doesn't like to punt; the Lions go for it on 4th down. Any time a team converts in that situation, it was a good decision, and usually if they don't convert, the execution was wrong.
  11. It is interesting that if the Ducks beat the Buckeyes, the sky's the limit, if they lose, it's not the end of the world. If USC loses to Penn State, the crumbling down at USC will take on epic proportions. USC hasn't been a "Destination" since Carroll left. It hasn't worked with Riley. Is another high profile coach going to want to take the job? This will be the first time at Autzen for the Buckeyes. They're saying the right things, but I don't know how seriously they're taking the Ducks. Hopefully, OBD will jump on them early and the Buckeyes will need some Dramamine.
  12. Charles, reading the posts today has had a calming effect. I still want OBD to be at Level 1, but I'm now just looking forward to a great game between two great teams. If, as you mentioned, this was still the 4 team Playoff, I'd be a wreck. But now, an L is not the end of the season. Will Corso pick the Ducks?
  13. Next year, Prime's kid & Travis Hunter will be gone. how about Prime goes Hollywood for real and replaces Riley?
  14. 3rd & long has too finally not be exactly what the other team wants against OBD. If any game needs 3 & out's it's this one. Autzen is going to be louder than it's ever been, OBD want to keep the HFA for the whole 60 minutes. I'm sure that Chip has told the players about this.
  15. I think the "Dog" is a mixed bag. Gonzaga, soon to be part of The Scrap, has been an underdog and a Big Dog, #1 seed in "March Madness" and haven't won a title yet. My hope is this game will be the catalyst for Oregon not being an Underdog again. Like Ohio State the motivation to win will be taking care of business.
  16. You know, Alabama's defense the last 6 quarters has looked like USC's. But if it's truly as horrendous, Alabama will finish 7-4.
  17. I've noticed that too. Obviously the red zone picks can't happen. But it is what you detailed, late, behind, long. DG isn't, in football vernacular, "throwing receivers open".
  18. Very good point. With all the "skill players" on both teams it will be the battle in the trenches that decide this one. One hole opened for the RB to explode could make the difference, and the best pass defender is a pass rush that makes it miserable for the QB,
  19. According to "Mouth of the South" Paul Finebaum "This is a shock to Alabama's manhood" Paul Finebaum: Vanderbilt upset 'shattered the mystique of Alabama' AWFULANNOUNCING.COM Paul Finebaum called No. 1 Alabama's upset loss to Vanderbilt "inexcusable" and said it "shattered the mystique" of Crimson...
  20. A rebuilding Huskies are better than USC. The epic battle for leader of the middle 4th of the B1G is Nov.2 at Husky Stadium.
  21. Only at USC would thinking about firing Riley be ridiculous, what is ridiculous is the writer saying that than going through everything Riley has failed miserably at. A doctor looks at your purple swollen foot. "Looks like multiple fractures. I'll get some tape on it. It'll be fine." USC has a great film school, George Lucas, and the football team has been their star attraction, They do go for the big name & hate rewrites.
  22. I too have been searching for a bigger game/opportunity than this one & I can't. No.2 Ohio State- No,3 Oregon. Not even is this the biggest game for the two teams, it's the biggest game of the year in college football. With the move to the B1G, this type of game will become just part of the season. Ohio State often wins this type of game, except against Michigan the last three years, The Ducks can announce their presence B1G time with a win.
  23. Alex, I can't think of another answer, unless with all the attention Smith is getting, it's Emeka Egbuka, who actually has more receptions than Smith. Than of course, with all the attention the WR's are getting, TreVyon Henderson or Quinshon Judkins, find a hole and takes it in for six. So, yes, Oregon and Ohio State coaches are looking at similar tape. It seems like the Ducks are getting more from their TE's. Neither the Ducks or Bucks are turning it over much, so one of those could be a dagger, especially in the red zone. It was great to see Boyle hit that field goal from 50.
  24. Bo Nix is an "Always a Duck" and he feels that way about his Bronco teammate and another "Always a Duck, Troy Franklin Bo Nix stands up for Troy Franklin, even if everyone will see right through it WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM Troy Franklin's horrendous drop prevented his first career touchdown.
