Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Oregon has to make a great hire here, but "underwhelming" seems more likely given the coaches available now. One good thing is that at best Dana Altman was "underwhelming" when he was hired.

Identity. Chip's Ducks definitely had an identity. It wasn't humble by any means. The Ducks had swagger and their offense made the other team look silly. I agree completely that Oregon, if it wants to compete at the highest level needs to get out of the Pac-12, and a Big 16 seems like a great idea. I do think they should get the new football coach first, though.
