  1. Agreed. He wasn't Jerry Jones, actually worked hard to avoid publicity, but his basketball knowledge was well known. Unfortunately, who was going to tell the owner to back off?
  2. I guess this guy wasn't there Passenger with 'no idea' how to fly plane lands aircraft in Florida after pilot has medical emergency WWW.AOL.COM A passenger with no apparent flying experience managed to land a small plane in Florida on Tuesday after their pilot had a medical...
  3. I used to be a huge Blazers fan, but lately, like the past 25 years or so, I haven't really followed them. They do have a following, the Moda Center is often sold out for games, BlazersEdge is a popular site, and I see a lot of Trail Blazers license plates. What if the Trail Blazers are sold and become the new Seattle Super Sonics?
  4. If they're incredible, get them some PT, but realistically your team is in better shape if the freshmen can wait. Which Oregon freshmen are most likely to play this fall? 247SPORTS.COM Here are my predictions for which members of Oregon's 2022 signees will play this fall and which will use redshirts.
  5. I remember way back in the day that a Lincoln Continental Mark lV was the coolest car there was, and green doesn't often work on cars, but I think it does here:
  6. The Ducks are involved in a bunch of them, including the most important. It would be good for the conference if Washington beat Michigan State, but I don't see it. Pac-12 Football: 18 most important games for conference teams in 2022 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Going into a new season, every fan base across the nation is going to take a look at their upcoming schedule and figure out which...
  7. Guess who else from the Pac-12 is in the top 3? College Football World Reacts To Best Uniform Rankings THESPUN.COM Oh...
  8. That opening was as bad as it could get. Who knew from that game that Oregon would be the team to unleash an offense that would revolutionize football, and that was against Boise State, not the defending champ at a "neutral field" I feel like the longer the game stays competitive the better Oregon looks, the worse Georgia looks. -15 Georgia is the line right now. Oregon is breaking in a new QB, a new HC, a new DC, a new OC. The players will be adjusting to new roles. Georgia is the team with the pressure on it.
  9. There was a John David Booty that played at USC. He backed-up Leinart for 3 years and started in 2006.
  10. None of them would fall in the Bold category, and at least a couple are underwhelming. Oregon Football: seven predictions for the 2022 Ducks SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM It’s talkin’ season, which means it’s time to make some predictions. We begin with Oregon.
  11. As objectively as I can, I'll take the Ducks at 9.5. The Huskies have a very favorable schedule, so 7.5 isn't saying much about them. I'll take UCLA at 9, and they can keep USC under 9 with a win over them. With all that's going bad at ASU, I don't think they'll reach 6.
  12. I'd have somebody else 10th in the Pac-12 and have Herm at the bottom. I guess Riley deserves the top spot. Chip was 46-7 at Oregon, but is 18-25, 64-32 overall. If this is just ranking by winning % it's kind of useless. Smith will probably always be the doing more with less at Oregon State, Wilcox seems content to do the same at Cal. Can't really see a justification for grading him as a head coach yet but would still have him above Herb.
  13. The good thing is that if Nix isn't hurt but either Thompson or Butterfield is the starter against Georgia means they must have had a great summer and fall camp!
  14. Agree completely. The bright lights and hurrahs around USC and Riley are super annoying, but Narduzzi walked into it with the comments, they don't make him, or Pitt look any better. Lanning has played it cool so far, and Addison could end up in Alabama.
  15. First game of the season, against the defending champs; their DC is now the head coach of the Ducks! How could I not want the Ducks win that game more than any game they've played before? So, right now I want the W over Georgia. But as the season moves on the Ducks need to build on that win. I want to take care of the Cougars in the Palouse, and then I want it to be 1990 again when BYU comes into Autzen! After that, I think UCKA will be pretty good next season, so I definitely want a W over them, take care of the annoying other games, and then welcome Utah, who absolutely left a bad taste in our mouths last season...and hope to see them again in the Championship game!
  16. That is good stuff. I agree with his tiers, though not to the point that besides theoretically OSU, WSU or UCLA could win their divisions. Great take on Narduzzi.
  17. Washington isn't confusing, they have a very favorable conference schedule but will still be battling Cal for 4th in the North, Cal won't have the best D in the conference, somebody on Talkin' Ducks said that would be the Ducks. I pick AZ to finish above ASU, who might not even finish the season. The 2022 Utes will be the best since 2008? That could be an overreaction, but not compared to USC being in the Playoffs. Though, would that be a bigger surprise than was Michigan last season?
  18. A good question? First things first getting the W over the defending champ in game 1? But what about last season, it could be a double feature with the Utes again? Oregon Football: Does a win vs. Georgia or Utah mean more for Ducks? DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Which win would mean more for the Ducks — beating Georgia or Utah? Many would argue the answer is the Bulldogs, but you can...
  19. Right now, the QB situation is looking good. The experienced Nix is in front, secure in his position but mentoring the two younger QB's behind him. Butterfield has been the Third Man but could end up being the one pressing Nix for the starting spot as the season gets closer. Continuity between the QB and the rest of the team is important but so is getting the right guy, see Utah last season. How long do Lanning and Dillingham stick with the starter if the offense isn't going the way they want it to?
  20. I remember Lonnie Shelton well from his playing days, he was big and fast and could shoot, couldn't stand him!
  21. Some things just make sense and having the two best teams play for the conference championship is one of them.
  22. The only difference between USC and Washington and "delusion" is a big one! USC actually is a Winner, a Blue Blood. They've been down. The problem now is that they and Mark Sanchez and Colin Cowherd, feel like they're back on top already. The Trojans have to wait a while before Riley can say this:
  23. I have no ego. We know that about him from his time at Oregon. The article mentions Tannehill and his attitude about mentoring Malik Willis. Remember Aaron Rodgers didn't like it when Green Bay even drafted Jordan Love? Ducks in the NFL: Marcus Mariota willing to mentor in Atlanta DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM “I have no ego.” Former Oregon QB Marcus Mariota is willing to be a mentor for rookie Desmond Ridder in Atlanta this season.
