The Value of Developing a Culture Where Players Stay, Develop, and Compete for the Long Term
It would be great to see Ducks coming back year after year, benefitting the team and themselves. In 2007, much to Oregon's dismay. Florida's basketball team all came back for a repeat, and got it, against osu2.

Softball's Grein is the FIRST DUCK EVER to Garner THREE National Honors...
It's becoming impossible to be hyperbolic about the 2025 Oregon softball team. The series winning 3rd game against Ucla was the GREATEST win of the season!

Should Oregon Ducks Retire Marcus Mariota's Jersey Number?
USC has No.55 for a stud linebacker, Micah Parsons was No.11 at Penn State, last season it was Abdul Carter. Honor the player with the number. Kind of a natural, Payton Pritchard- Jackson Shelstad, No.3

Should Oregon Ducks Retire Marcus Mariota's Jersey Number?
No.8 has looked good on Mariota and Gabriel, Herbert and Nix both did great with No.10. During the start of the 20-21 basketball season a transfer, LJ Figueroa wore No.30. I didn't think that looked right. Later he switched to No.12.

Ducks DOMINATE the B1G? An Update...
That of course is what Husky, Trojans, and now Osu2 fans won't understand. Oregon is not a "filler" their brand is real, The Ducks have owned USC, recruiting, wins, for years now, UW, has the last 2 of 3, but it's been "Husky, sit", not "bow down" for a long time. Way before NIL, Husky & Trojans were bloviating over how Uncle Phil was trying to buy a championship. Doing this while rather than accepting that out of all the $$$ in Seattle and LA, they couldn't get any to support them, they knock Oregon and Knight. Now that NIL is in play, they're both still behind.

Lee Corso to Retire After Week One
Completely agree, if they hand it off to McAfee, I'll need a new TV.

Oregon Moved Up in the Baseball Rankings...But So Did BEAVIS
Strange. Iowa is in 1st Place, but not in the Top 25? The one time of year when Rodent Nation can actually stand tall, would be great to knock them off a couple times.

Ducks DOMINATE the B1G? An Update...
No question about that, and, during baseball game, the announcers, who were excellent overall, slipped a bit when they said that "Duck" was "One of the best mascots in the B1G". Please.

2025: Power-4 Conference Top Dogs, and Dark Horses
Jon, I'll put Alabama and dark horse in the same sentence, that was fun. But go Heupel and the Vols! GT, Clemson, Cal? Anybody but The U. Arizona State loses Skattebo, but has the most returning production? Incredible, after years and years, hearing that ASU is a sleeping giant, they woke up!

Diamond Ducks Win the Series Over No.10 UCLA 10-6!
So many great plays, besides the home runs. Smith's aggressive base running, going from 1st to third on a single to left to set up the first run, intentionally walking the Bruins best hitter in the 7th, loading the bases, to bring up the No.3 in the conference for RBI's, and getting him. Burke Lee Mabius almost had a Kaelin Clay...barely touched home plate to complete his home run.

Diamond Ducks Win the Series Over No.10 UCLA 10-6!
Just as with the softball team, yesterday was BAD. But I believe the Ducks can get over it, as the title says, there's a lot to play for today. As Lanning says, this is an "opportunity" for the Ducks, and the Bruins could be a bit full of themselves.

Softball: No.5 Ducks Run Rule No.6 Bruins 9-0 Get the Series and First Place!
For both the baseball and softball teams, and using Lanning-speak, the games today are an "opportunity". Yesterday was BAD. Because it was a complete anomaly in how bad the beatings were. But I'm fine with the blowouts. The Ducks will get over them. The Bruins might be fat and happy. Go, Ducks!

Love Him? Hate Him? At Least Deion Speaks the Truth.
Lanning is Lanning, I don't want any other coach, particularly Prime or Curt "Google Me" Cignetti, both polar opposites of everything I admire and respect about Lanning. Cignetti brought a bunch of transfers with him to Indiana and beat a season full of cupcakes, Sanders had the Heisman winner and a projected first round pick at quarterback, but couldn't win the Big 12, which incidentally was won by a coach who was under the radar for most of the season, Kenny Dillingham.

The phrase "If you're really good you don't need to say you are"1 implies that if you are truly good or competent, you don't need to boast or advertise it.
