2025 BIG Ten Media Day News
Looks like all the teams were put into a B1G hat and how they were pulled out determined the order.

What? Beavers to the Big-12...
But, darn, Beaver Nation will be there, no players unfortunately, cheering them on!!!

Best Opening Week Game?
BK has had a tough time since he left Notre Dame because he felt he had a better chance at a Natty in the SEC. He tried to affect an accent to go with his new environment, that didn't go well, after a particular loss he butchered John McKay's classic, "What do you think of your team's execution?"

Hawkeyes Will Be a Very Tough Away Game for the Ducks
It looks like this will be, "the tough" game this season, like Wisconsin was in 2024. I don't see a loss, and by this time, Moore, or Novosad, should be settled. Ferentz should have the B1G record, so won't have to deal with that, both teams will be coming off Byes. Oregon has the Golden Gophers at home next, Iowa goes to USC.

Best Opening Week Game?
I was hoping that Penn State would have a bit of a test before OBD invade Happy Valley, but it doesn't look like it, though that could be a good thing; Nevada, FIU and Villanova provide the competition. The Trojans open with Missouri State, Washington starts with Colorado State. Indiana? Old Dominion.

Ducks/Big Ten Basketball
Way to Early basketball predictions are just as useless as football are. It's hard to project Oregon to challenge in the B1G. It is good to remember though that Florida wasn't picked to win the SEC.

The Dark Duck Draft of 2017
Measuring stick time. OBD have definitely left 2017 behind where Draft Day is concerned. But there is only one Duck expected to go in the 1st round, maybe. Osu2, Georgia, even the Alabama that had PAWL crying, will fill the 1st & 2nd rounds. Oregon still has a way to go.

Duck's Wire Ranks B1G Football 2025 Strength of Schedule
Absolutely agree. Part what the team was last year, part conjecture on how it will do next year, then extrapolate that for all the teams for SOS, huh, what?

Brock Huard Giving Up Fox Sportscasting...
Good for Brock, I guess, but he was actually a good broadcaster.

No.1 Florida vs No.1 Houston Men's Basketball Championship 5:50 PST CBS
The discrepancy was obvious between the twenty minutes coming out of halftime. Four fouls were called in the first half before 26 were called for in the second, including five immediately on the Gators in just over the two and a half minutes coming out of the break that resulted in a controversial technical foul on their bench. Add in a no-call on a pretty clear goal tend, which ended up making a difference in a two-point margin, and the outing ended up earning criticism for the officials before it was over with. Swallowing your whistle shouldn't be the plan for the Refs, maybe they could have called more in the 1st half. That's a huge discrepancy. Baseball players get an idea of the strike zone, it would be completely wrong if it changed as much as the 1st & 2nd half did here. Ironic, that the game ends because the Houston player knew it would be a double-dribble if he touched the ball in the last seconds, so could only stand and watch.

No.1 Florida vs No.1 Houston Men's Basketball Championship 5:50 PST CBS
They are. But last night, Florida was better. Florida shot 39.6 from the field, 25% on 3's. Houston shot 34.8% from the field, 24% on 3's. Florida did have 13 TO's, compared to 9 for Houston, but the Gators won the battle on the boards, 40 to 39.

No.1 Florida vs No.1 Houston Men's Basketball Championship 5:50 PST CBS
Due to their defense, rebounding, Houston averages 10 shot attempts more than their opponents, if Florida can cut that by half, that's a win.

Josh Pate Names the Teams that can Realistically Win It All in 2025
There really is no comparison between the NCAA treatment of "$Cam Newton-Auburn & Reggie Bush -USC. USC was hit with sanctions, Bush had his Heisman taken away, what did the NCAA do to Auburn-Newton?

Softball: Can Oregon Win the B1G?
This is what is so illogical about UW's wailing about "PK's$$$ buying Oregon the championship!" What championship? Oregon has the pain of being so close, but no cigar, that, and ten they throw in that sure UW could get the facilities, get the NIL money, but the UW is noble, it's about the student-athlete. Softy wants to win. The right way.

Softball: Can Oregon Win the B1G?
It's not to the level of Washington, who truly savor an Oregon loss nearly as much a Washington win, but osu2 is getting there. There were some remarks on "12 Warriors" about PK. It got better for them after the Rose Bowl. But they will never have any respect for the little school from Oregon...they won't even give Washington a thought.

Kwame Evans Jr Will Return to Oregon Men's Basketball for the 2025-26 Season
I do too, and I think that his game will improve with more consistent minutes, stronger can be worked on during the offseason, skill can be refined, sharpened.
