  1. Duck WR's from the past: Leland Glass, Bob Newland, Greg Specht. Of Course, Sammi Parker, Keenan Howry, Jaison Williams. Cameron Colvin, unfortunately is most remembered for fumbling out of bounds, in the 2007, 31-24 loss to Cal. But the best play involving a WR from an opponent
  2. No "Star" receiver comes to mind, and right on, Meg! If Dakorien can fit into the mold of Jamar, Justin, they were 1 & 2 on the LSU team with Burrow at QB, jeez what a team! I remember when USC came in, and it was Barkley to Marqise Lee, though it was No.2, Robert Woods, who's still playing in the NFL, and back a while, it was UCLA's Cade McNown to Danny Farner that was TROUBLE. It would be incredible if the Ducks finally had a QB-WR connection that could not be stopped!
  3. Back in the good ole days, we had Todd Marinovich's dad, then more recently, LaVar Ball & his sons and basketball. But this leaves those in the dust.
  4. ASU without Skattebo!?I don't know. No Jeanty at Boise State?
  5. All true, and in the course of things..if Mario and his prevent offense hadn't shown up, and then left, Lanning might not have ever even been in the picture at Oregon, now, everything is working out just right.
  6. There will be a shift in the polls, No.1 Texas lost its 2nd in a row to No.5 Tennessee, this time 4-1.
  7. No. 4 Oregon softball clinches sweep with 5-4 win over Minnesota - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM The cities change, the details vary. The constant is the result this season for No. 4 Oregon (38-4, 12-1 Big Ten) thus far in...
  8. Hey Nico. go to Washington.
  9. Game 1, 13-0, game 2, 5-4. This team is really good. This is nice, No.5 Tennessee beat No.1 Texas, 3-1.
  10. All the big B1G wins illustrate, to me, what we noted in the topic about the Pac-12, The QB's on the other teams, even Howard on osu2, just weren't that good. The W in Wisconsin could have been an L, if the Badgers QB had been the level of Pac-12's. What if Smith & Egbuko had had a Pac-12 QB throwing the ball?
  11. The announcers said, "that was a great game!" I suppose it was, and thrillers are fun, But, a relaxing baseball game it wasn't! The announcers were very good I thought, had very nice comments throughout the game for OBD, and when Maryland took the lead, they said that a win over Oregon would definitely be Maryland's "game of the year!" It was also interesting, early in the game they noted that Oregon had a lot of big guys in the lineup, an observation that was never uttered during the Horton era. They also mentioned that, at Purdue, Wasilkowski coached "small ball", another remnant of Horton, that thankfully is gone.
  12. No. 4 Oregon softball’s late rally leads to 5-4 win over Minnesota - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM A common sentiment surrounding most young teams is that they must learn how to win. Little things can often be the difference in...
  13. No. 4 Oregon softball’s scoring binge leads to 13-0 win over Minnesota - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM There are times like last weekend’s sweep of Michigan where No.4 Oregon softball had to grind for wins. Then, there are games like...
  14. I never, ever thought I'd say this, but go Houston Rockets! Dante & Dillon Brooks. An NBA team almost worth watching!
  15. It's getting into bizzarro world here. In the NFL there's a salary cap. The other players might not like it, but while their doing great at 12-20 M a year, the QB is making 50M a year. The good time is the first 4 years, when the QB is on his rookie deal, and the team can build around him. There's no cap here of course, because the players are student athletes. not on salary.
  16. Hard to believe that UCLA was No.9? I'd include week 2, at Texas Tech, 2023, Oregon wins 38-30, Bassa's pick-6. And yeah week 11, at Wisconsin, Oregon 16 Wisconsin 13. What if the Ducks had lost the one in Wisconsin, maybe it would have been a "good loss". But, 4th & 16, will live forever. Matayo Uiagalelei, game clinching INT.
  17. All of this is the NCAA's fault. It saw what was happening 50 years ago and didn't do a thing, except hold on tighter to the "Student Athlete" model. There were ripples, Ed O'Bannon, UCLA basketball player, was the lead in a class action suit against the NCAA that touched on NIL, the player's won, the NCAA's actions violated the Sherman anti trust laws, players should be compensated for their NIL. But nothing really came of it, so here we are.
  18. This is what a Spring Game should be. Bring back Bucky and Christian, Mike and Rich. The fans will show up, expecting nothing more than a scrimmage, the players, especially the new ones will have good time.
  19. In a pre-season top 25, Oregon wasn't listed, Texas was No.1, and the Longhorns are No.1 now, followed by Oklahoma, who's my pick for Champ until they're eliminated, and Texas A & M. LSU is No.5 A Super Regional looks good for The Jane, and hopefully, a showdown with Texas in Oklahoma City. If COY in Softball is anything like it is in football, who could it besides Coach Lombardi?
  20. Guest coaches for 2025 Spring Game announced - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM The guest coaches for April 26’s spring football game have been revealed. On Monday, the Oregon Ducks football team...
  21. It's clear that the NIL is leaning heavily to the football side, not that I'm complaining, but I hope there's enough to get Bittle to come back, as for getting other players to come over, it is what it is.
  22. Yeah, it was fun, remember that game against ASU. when that QB named Daniels got a 4th and 16? Whatever happened to him? Charles is right, it's a top heavy conference, and last season, OBD was the heaviest. We'll get to know the rest of the teams, it'll take a while, but that's okay. A lot better than having the games on The CW.
  23. I don't know if this guy should be counted as a "living" and, as for the Hoosiers, in a contest once, 1st prize was a paid weekend in Gary, Indiana, 2nd prize was 2 weekends. As far as popularity, I suspect, that maybe Notre Dame has more fans out of state than OBD does, maybe. I remember, back,72-74, watching replays of Notre Dame, with Tom Clements at QB. Or, let's count how many times, when this was the way it was done. an Oregon hat was on the table, one of 3 to be picked. The Duck, is world famous, the Wolverine is a Marvel character. The only reason that lately Corso has picked against The Duck is because everybody knows he should pick Oregon.
  24. Oregon basketball lands commitment from CAA All-Conference guard TK Simpkins
