  1. This is what can happen when Rodents don't get what they want
  2. By "More" I mean actually any compared to last season.
  3. To be elite, you have to win a championship. (But winning a championship does not make guys like Gene Chizik and Larry Coker anywhere close to elite.) All elite coaches have championships, but all coaches with championships aren't elite.
  4. If you're a quarterback this is a great place to spend some time in the summer. Oregon QB Ty Thompson to attend Manning Passing Academy this summer DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Redshirt-freshman QB Ty Thompson will be at the Manning Passing Academy this summer.
  5. Matt Miller, McShay, how do they still have their jobs? The fact that they have a new Mock Draft every week is evidence that none of them mean anything. My Aunt could do a Mock Draft.
  6. I was happy when Nix showed up at Oregon and everything we've seen, heard about the QB competition sounds like it's bringing out the best from Nix, Thompson and Butterfield. These highlights of Nix are great to see and if he wins the spot, great, and if Thompson or Butterfield emerge as the starter, greater still!
  7. Very true about that every team has a culture, how palpable the culture is it what counts. Kelly's teams had it dripping off them, then it practically evaporated under Helfrich. Taggart was flying high until he flew the coop, Mario definitely had one, his teams were going to run through a brick wall, over and over and over. Lanning has learned from the best on how to create and maintain a culture. Kirby learned from Saban, Lanning from Kirby. You play as you practice, and you don't take a play off if you want to make the playoffs.
  8. We aren't just talking about a new nickname, this is a complete makeover of the Oregon defense that will take the field next season. How about an emphasis on stopping the run? That's the plan. Sua’ava Poti: New staff 'rebranding the culture of Oregon’s defense' 247SPORTS.COM During Saturday’s press availability, redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Sua’ava Poti made it clear that things are running smoothly...
  9. This was in an article that was too much Trojan to bring over here, and the words were a little lacking coming out of Hollywood and from a guy who's house has 12 bathrooms. The 2 words were, "really nice" Now, what two words do you hope will describe Oregon's offense next season?
  10. A lot of perspectives here, Hayward. I'd say we're in the Honeymoon rather than the Courtship phase because Lanning has been hired, the job is his. The games haven't been played yet, but there is no off time for a coach of a winning program and Lanning has definitely been taking care of business.
  11. Good job, Ducks, keep getting the players from Washington and Oregon. Oregon lands in-state 2022 WR Cole Prusia 247SPORTS.COM On Monday morning, in-state wide receiver Cole Prusia announced his commitment to the University of Oregon on...
  12. I hope it isn't snowing on the Spring Game. Getting the No.1 OL should definitely bring a smile to the face of RB Richard Young about Oregon as he goes through his selection process.
  13. We definitely know this. Chip had a scheme, Mario had a scheme, Lanning and Dillingham look to have a scheme, and a "fun" one, for the players and the fans. Without the name on the jersey now, I won't even know it's Dye if I see the Trojans play next season.
  14. I agree completely with your roster design, Graziani93. Oregon has more than enough Bigs and each can use minutes to improve. Ware is the new guy. The Ducks need, like you said, fast, aggressive mid-size players that can take the ball to the basket, shoot, and make free throws!
  15. The interesting, and I'll put a positive spin on it, is that unlike at A & M, Texas, Tennessee, to name a few, nothing NIL about Conerly and Oregon was released. This was a big splash and Oregon went with subtlety.
  16. It seems to me, now, that Riley fits perfectly at USC and Lanning, the same at Oregon, switching them seems like it would be a mess.
  17. His stats don't jump off the page, but Big Franck definitely left big shoes to fill when he entered the Transfer Portal. Might be able to find a replacement in the same size, but not the same style. 5 big men the Oregon Ducks should pursue in the NCAA transfer portal DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks could use a fourth big man to replace Franck Kepnang. Here are five names in the NCAA transfer portal who...
