For years, OBD have come close, so close to winning a Nattty, but a loss during the season, a QB goes down in the desert...etc., etc. Then Oregon goes B1G, goes undefeated, wins the conference championship. Only to find out this time it would have been better to have not gone 12-0, and to avoid the CCG altogether. Talk about moving the goalposts!

At Oregon, it was getting messy, it was bad enough before NCAA violations, and he really wanted to coach in the NFL. Now, he's got a cushy job, doesn't have to worry about recruiting, just draws up plays for the 4 & 5 stars the other coaches bring in. It can't get better for Chip in the NFL.

But now Oregon is a worldwide brand, in their first year in the B1G, they went undefeated, beat Ohio State, and it was not viewed as lucky, instead it installed Oregon as No.1. So, yes, Ohio State really doesn't like Oregon. That was a decisive win in the Rose Bowl, but it didn't knock Oregon out.

Absolutely right. Considering Minnesota competed for 20 minutes and Oregon for 8, this is a fortunate halftime score. As the broadcasters mentioned, for the opening 12 minutes, Minnesota was moving, Oregon was stiff. Finally, Angel defrosted. Scouting did indicate that MN wasn't very good from deep, and cooled off as the game went along. As it always goes, the first 4 minutes of the 2nd half are crucial.

The season, Oregon was clearly the best,12-0 including a win over osu2, and Boise State, 13-0 with the redundant Conference Championship win. Congratulations to thee Ohio State for their flawed format aided National Championship.
