  1. This could mean something now: Apparently Sarr has started following Nate Bittle on Instagram.
  2. Oregon absolutely needs to host a Regional...hopefully instead of Oregon State. Oregon being Mo.2 at the Corvallis regional would be another case of OBD being absolutely screwed in a Playoff. The football was format and Oregon was unlucky enough to be No.1. But if Oregon's season goes the rest of the way as we expect it to, then seeding them No.2, in Corvallis, would be ridiculous. The other parallel of course would be that Coach Lanning said, Coach Waz would see this a "great opportunity" and he'd be right.
  3. Everything going right is not unique to the Navy Seals, and everything definitely didn't go right when the Ducks won the first game. But Day can philosophize however he wants. Osu2 played great in the Rose Bowl, for a myriad of reasons, OBD didn't offer any resistance.
  4. Out doing some early shopping, saw a Beav fan and his son, looked to be around 8. The kid pointed at me and kind of smiled...like maybe he wished there was a transfer portal for fans. Dad, grabbed his arm, not hard or anything, and they went off in another direction.
  5. The Friday starter for Michigan State has an incredible 2.51 ERA compared to Oregon's Grayson Grinsell's respectable 2.97 ERA, so this looks like a pitchers duel shaping up. My hope is that our batters find a way to get to their pitcher, as we did against the great UCLA and Oregon State Friday Night starters. The Spartan record of 23-19 is padded with a ton of small schools, or weak leagues. We thought Columbia of the Ivy League would challenge the Ducks, but our batters tore them up and Michigan State played Harvard and Cornell. This was on top of playing Western Michigan, Monmouth, Western Carolina, Winthrop, etc. In conference play, Michigan State lost to UCLA 15-9, lost their series with Iowa 2-1, got swept four games by Michigan, lost their series to Illinois 2-1, swept by Indiana 3-0 in their series, but won their series by a 2-1 margin against Northwestern and Penn State. In the end...all the prior scores don't matter; the Spartans will be hyped out-of-their-mind to beat the No. 6 team at home before their crowd, and Oregon will have their hands full. Let’s get it done Ducks! SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Ducks coming off a season-series four-game sweep of Oregon State
  6. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Oregon is the only team in the NCAA ranked in the top 10 in scoring, ERA and fielding.
  7. I think the Ducks are in great shape. Of course that means little. I just saw a projected bracket, and it had the Beavs hosting a Regional...and the Ducks were No.2 Insanity? Yes. But The Beavs still have the respect that goes with winning a couple Natty's. I'm not really worried about the Duck's chances if this somehow plays out though. The pitching is coming around. 2 out o f3 against Ucla. In the 4 games against the Ducks, the Beavs offense never got on track. In their best game, the one in Corvallis, half of their 4 runs came from a WP and a very uncommon error. Part of the reason the pitching is coming round is the defense. The Baltimore Orioles set the record for having 4 20 game winners in the same season; Brooks Robinson played 3rd. Now, Carter Garate might not be Brooks, but in the last half dozen games for sure, he's been a vacuum. 4 DP's against the Beavs in game 4, that shows that 2nd base and short are getting it done to. The OF hasn't really been tested too much, pitchers forcing the batters to hit it on the ground. Offense? yeah, the national leader in home runs is a Ducks, Mason Neville. At 1st base, Jacob Walsh is Oregon's career leader, he hit a home run in each of the games against the Beavs, and he hasn't been caught stealing yet, 6-6. It's not just home runs either, Coach Was, like Lanning, can multitask, long ball, or short ball, The Ducks are very aggressive, and no easy out, 1 thru 9. 2 of 3 against the Bruins, 4 in a row over the Beavs. Now, it's at 10th place Michigan State. I'm confident that the team has its head on straight. They know that every game left is the most important, they won't 'be looking ahead, or playing scared. Just do it!
  8. No.6 was the "Sweet Spot" last season, but due to some kind of major discombobulation, Penn State tripped over itself on the way to the championship game.
  9. There was a play, in of those impossible to forget L's to the Huskies, a 50/50 to Franklin with JM covering. and JM knocked it down. Instant hatred of course. Then, with all that you mentioned about him, he transfers to Oregon, and he can't stop gushing. But he didn't make any of those plays for OBD.
  10. Or. should that be a nightmare! The Ducks should be thinking, "what if we get Beavis again in a Super Regional?" The expression is, 'it's hard to beat a good team 3 times' The Ducks just took 4 straight. Of course, the law of averages would be in Beavis's favor, but especially the way the game went last night, Oregon is right to feel confident about playing again.
  11. Ruth: A coverage experience as unique as the game itself - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM No press box seat? No problem! I was still able to attend and cover the No. 6 Ducks’ 8-4 win over No. 7 Oregon State in Corvallis...
  12. As Sgt. Schultz said so often and so well, , except whatever the Ducks' scheme was in the Rose Bowl was severely flawed. I can recognize talent, and people who know stuff say the talent is there, So, DL and TL have to "go to school" for next season to playout the way everybody wants it to. It's like baking. All the ingredients are there. But they have to be mixed just right, or it falls, or gets burned. Before you taste something, the aroma catches you. Sweet, sour either one. But never bitter, the aftertaste that never leaves. It's all there this season.
  13. The Ducks toyed with the Beavs in this one. Around the middle of the game, the Beavs announcing squad noticed that there were some Duck fans spread out the crowd. It was hard to miss them, as besides the orange and black, there were a bunch of empty seats...more as the game went along. As the game is going, and the previous 3, I couldn't help thinking, "The Beavs were No.3?" In a top 6 match-up, if you made a team out of the starters, it would be a split. Not here. The first team, all 9 positions, would be Ducks! In this game in particular, I give the PoG to Jacob Walsh. But, the Play of the Game goes to Carter Garate for his amazing catch of the line drive, with the bases loaded in the 3rd.
  14. Of course, the Pac-12? broadcast is biased, it's also very boring. $$$$ definitely helps the production.
  15. Whenever I hear this, I think of "The Pit" Just imagine the video of the Kamikaze Kids with this in the background!
  16. It doesn't even matter that they're from Seattle, Heart is that good!
  17. The Ducks will show the Rodents what to do when you reach No.3. Michigan St. is heading to The Jane! Run Rule Ahead!
  18. No. 5 Oregon softball dominates Notre Dame 10-1 - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM Value each pitch. Make the right decision. Get the big hit. Locate your pitches. Over and over and over. Every blunder can spark a...
  19. Oregon is making Run Rule a habit!
  20. And thanks to all the Beav fans. Some of them didn't like the crowds at PK, can't imagine why. Makes me think of that movie, from 1945
