  1. Maybe the football team is rubbing off on basketball, 1-8, 3-5 Ohio State, just beat 15-5, 7-2 Purdue, 73-70, on the road, Purdue was ahead, 41-28 at halftime.
  2. They could get pretty rowdy.
  3. I can understand how Dilly would have ASU above Oregon. But how do he and so many others have Penn State above Oregon? Oregon's 1 L was as good a loss as possible. How is Georgia above Oregon? 3 L's Texas?
  4. About a fortnight ago, word spread out from Rocky Top that Tennessee Vol Nico Iamaleava may be on his way to USC. Tennessee lost as many as 5 WRs to the transfer portal, and Iamaleava naturally wasn’t thrilled. He relayed some cryptic, controversy-ridden messages via social media. Turns out, that was only smoke and mirrors. With that off-shoot nipped in the bud, Lincoln Riley pivoted to a more far-sighted view. His focus pivoted towards the No.1 QB in the 2026 class. But alas, he’s coming up short on that front as well. The way that particular recruitment is progressing for the Trojans has left On3’s Josh Newberg bemused. 5-star Jared Curtis, ironically a Tennessee native himself, has named his top 6 schools. This includes 3 schools that he’ll be making official visits to in June. Are the USC Trojans in this exclusive club? They aren’t even in the 6. “Little surprised not to see USC in this mix.” said Josh Newburg over the On3 YouTube channel. “I thought USC would at least make his top 6, but they do not.” The six suitors include Alabama, Ohio State, Auburn, South Carolina, Oregon, and Georgia. Curtis shall visit the latter 3. Pretty much all these schools are of a certain ilk, an uppish echelon. One that USC is at the risk of exiting with how the Lincoln Riley era is panning out.
  5. Not having UW "academic prowess" I think only 2 or something are better.
  6. No defensive scheme could, will, can, be worse than last night, 3rd & 11, Notre Dame has one on one on Jeremiah Smith.
  7. Just being the player he was earlier THIS season would be enough. Purdue didn't play well, just better than Oregon did, If the Ducks had managed 35% on 3's instead of 29%, maybe two rebounds Purdue didn't get, they win. Bamba has been demonstrably inefficient, Angel has been M I A for most of the games.
  8. Fan interest is great, no doubt about that. Having more teams involved longer is great. But the CCG has to go. Oregon was the undisputed B1G champ. A CCG goes along with CCG's in diminishing the regular season. It didn't matter that Osu2 lost to Oregon and Michigan. I'm glad to see that comment about the No.1 seed having too difficult a path. As it's not whimper from Oregon fans, it's an egregious error in the format, that profited regular season losers.
  9. The 2019 South Carolina Lady Gamecocks also claim the championship, though everybody knows Oregon's Lady Ducks would have won the championship had there been a tournament. The '91 championship for the Huskies is how it was done back then, 2020? That's right there with Oregon State's banner. Oregon's accomplishments in 2024 are diminished by Ohio State, not doing either, but winning the championship anyway. Oregon won't hang a "Wolfe Rating's" banner.
  10. Penn State does lose some names, probably their biggest stars, Warren on offense, Carter on defense, but both RB's are back, and the QB. Meanwhile, it's looking good for OBD, but 19 of 22 starters are gone. I like predictions that have Oregon around 6-10.
  11. Oregon is 4-3 in conference games now, 13 left. I'm calling a 13-7 final record, could be a top 4.
  12. From: "Ohio State provided the blueprint": The portal is not there to build your roster. It's there to supplement it, and if you've got enough cash, it's there to solidify an already elite roster with more elite talent This isn't rocket science. Building up recruiting classes of 4's & 5's is how osu2 got to the top and how it will stay there.
  13. With a proper format the CFP could be as challenging and exciting as "March Madness" The idea of not having your team eliminated by a loss in September should be a good one. Having better players and coaches should give a team an advantage in winning a championship. The regular season has to still be important.
  14. The fanatics put them in shambles after losing to Michigan. In the clear light of Day, the loss didn't hurt them at all.
  15. “The Big Ten, at the moment, owns college football." Finebaum said. "And there’s no way you can say it doesn’t. When you go back-to-back, that’s generational. And in Ohio State’s case, they beat two SEC schools along the way. There’s an old saying that was emanated in 1828 when Andrew Jackson was elected President, a senator from New York said to the victor belongs the spoils and that’s exactly where the Big Ten is this morning, it’s an uncomfortable feeling for the SEC which has owned the sport, but it’s a reality for the sport.”
  16. I don't see Colorado. But ASU without Skattebo at No.9? Leonard is a Sr. at Nore Dame, but maybe he'll still be there. This is where USC usually shows up, good job, Mandel.
  17. The Huskies' best player is Great Osobor.
  18. Ty Thompson 5 star? Sometimes the rating doesn't make any sense at all. I don't know how many stars Cam Skattebo had, but I'm thinking 3. What about Ashton Jeanty? I don't think osu2 has 3's or walk-ons making their roster.
  19. Any Michigan fan that snorts, "Oh yeah, we beat you" to a Buckeye shouldn't get any response other than a suggestion to look at the National Champion hat Buck is wearing. The B1G Championship trophy looks nice in Oregon's case, along with the undefeated season. The ACC Commish says a regular season matters when the format he favors clearly shows it doesn't and that winning the CCG is a blow to your "opportunity" of winning the Natty.
  20. I want to thank Notre Dame for kicking the field goal, and it's always great when a Cinderella 8 seed wins it all.
  21. At 1-6 in B1G and 10-8 overall, Washington is a Q3 opponent. Which means OBD has to go Indiana on them! SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM The game will air on Big Ten Network at 8 p.m. PT.
  22. 3rd & 11, Notre Dame has single coverage on Smith. Guess what happened?
  23. They got called for holding twice a couple of drives ago, unfortunately for ND, they missed a FG try.
