  1. A lot of games to remember, and a big one coming on Saturday. Ducks history: Oregon vs. Washington State has provided thrilling outcomes over the years. Zachary Neel duckswire
  2. As far as I know the Kent's are the only father/son broadcast team going today, and I agree they were good. I agree it would have been better if Ernie (Million Moves) Kent had filled time reminiscing about his playing time at Oregon instead of opining for Texas Southern
  3. As noted, Guerrier played on his ankle if he can play on Friday, it looks good for him, takes Friday off, maybe he's okay for BYU on Tuesday, looks like day to day for Kepnang.
  4. My answer to your first question is that your scenario of Cardwell and McGee; maybe Thompson and Williams doing more through the air sounds like a good plan for 2022, as for Dye being necessary for the Ducks the rest of this season...YES! Cristobal said a while back that Dye is as crucial to Oregon's success as any player is to their team's success and wasn't overstating it at all. 4 TD's in a row against Colorado, 200+ yards in a storm against Washington. He doesn't have the speed, and he won't end up with the stats that other great Oregon RB's put up, but he's every bit as important.
  5. They'll have to pass that along to the Powers that Be...(SEC & ESPN) and get back to us, Ole Miss offense with Kiffin calling the plays and Corral at QB could be more than A & M D can handle,
  6. Washington is proud of this and Oregon is proud of this
  7. Not the Pac-12, but in 1964 Tommy Prothro coached at Oregon State, in 1965 he was the head coach at UCLA.
  8. UCONN is bad, but this years Clemson has only scored 41+ points this season once, much less win by that many, An interesting game is Texas A & M -2.5 at Ole Miss. It should hurt Alabama if Ole Miss. can steal a win here.
  9. Welcome to OBD, the "Rivalry" has spent most of its time lopsided towards one team. Washington was in charge 50 years ago, and since then it's evened out a bit, with Oregon taking control the last 30 or so. There is No chance it will just be another game to either fan base.
  10. Today we had the opportunity of listening to former 'Bama QB, Greg McElroy explain why there was no problem with Alabama failing to cover against LSU, by 22 points, but staying at No. 2, just like they would have if they had beaten LSU by 42 points.
  11. Carroll's USC teams didn't run the table in the Pac-12, and Utah wasn't in the conference at the time, but the Utes beat "Bama.
  12. Washington is committed to a winning program more so than is Cal so it makes sense that way, fans at Cal just aren't all that interested, Washington fans are delusional. take your pick. If Smith left Oregon State to go back to Washington, Taggart would be the second most hated former football coach in the state.
  13. Doctor Jon Wilner just finished his rounds and gives his prognosis in Pac-12 Football : Coaching hot seat updates and the potential for massive turnover at the top
  14. Which is why Oregon should never lose a conference game again? Nah, USC, back when they were coached by Ducks, McKay, Robinson had MUCH more talent than any team in the Pac-8, and they lost. Carroll's Trojans teams lost. Clemson still has 5 stars all over their team, and is fighting to get Bowl eligible. Alabama is the definition of unique For a bit there people were thinking that Dabo and Clemson might have taken over. Nope. Saban is the GOAT all over and this is a down year at 'Bama, Oregon is the cream of the Pac-12, which is not the same as rising to the top of the SEC, where Alabama lost to Texas A & M. According to metrics that should not have happened, accordingly Oregon should win the rest of their games.
  15. Either him or this guy
  16. Yes, stars all over the field for the Ducks, and, according to this article from duckswire and Zachary Neel, a couple of 5 stars will be watching, Pair of 5 Star Recruits set to Visit Eugene For Oregon's Game vs. Washington State
  17. Good win and even better news about Nyara.
  18. There is this: Oregon had probably the most impressive win, with a 10 point victory at Washington in poor weather. But it wasn't enough to jump the Ducks over Alabama, which struggled at home in a one score victory over unranked LSU.
  19. Agreed. They started hot, cooled off, found their shots again. There are so many different combinations Altman can put together with this bunch of players,
  20. Exactly, what will the Committee come up with next week? Alabama's listless performance at home against LSU had enough style to keep them at No. 2,. This week it's New Mexico State.
  21. I have to agree with David that a rivalry with Washington ceased to exist a long time ago. As he illustrated Oregon has dominated the series to such an extent. You can't have a rivalry with a door mat. But, we can't just dismiss Washington, they will never be just a game on the schedule. When the noise is too loud upstairs you can't ignore it, and it just gets worse if you ask them to turn it down, They tell you that they remember back when they stomped around with impunity and in their addled mind, that time still exists. But, you have found that if you toss an apple in the air he'll jump up in the air, catch it and be entertained for several hours. Oregon would benefit with a true rival in the conference. USC's trajectory is similar to Washington's over the last 20 years or so, since Carroll. Stanford has academic prowess so they can't really be expected to compete, can they? WSU is the Poison Oak of the Pac-12. OSU is the little train that could, and Utah, who has been consistently good since joining the conference. Now I have to get some more apples.
