Assessing Oregon’s 2025 Football Schedule
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I agree, it's unlikely that Rutgers, or Purdue, or Northwestern beat Oregon anytime soon, we'll see how "shocking" Vandy, and Okie's wins over Alabama were next season. -
Softball No.8 Oregon at Washington Rained Out.
30Duck replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Oregon had a home run in the 1st inning, it was eventually called foul. The game was in a rain delay for more than 2 hours before being canceled. -
Duck Women Clinch 2024-25 Indoor Track and Field Championship!

Outstanding!!! Clinching before it's over makes it very impressive and busting the form charts, even better! -
A rare opportunity to see the softball team on the regular network! Go Ducks!

If anyone can really answer this, I'd be amazed. It really is logic defying that this team has an above .500 record, let alone deserving of a 5 seed. They don't really run a discernible offense that I can see. Every possession is freelance, lately it hasn't ended with an early 3, so that's progress. Bamba is the only guard that can really get to the basket, and that's usually just him barreling to the rim. This lack of actual plays I think is a large part of the rebounding trouble, no player really has a specific place to be. The undersize of the back court is problematic on offense and defense. The guards can't really do much to get a shot, other than a defended mid range, so a 3 it is. On defense, the guards can go where they want, forcing the bigs to help, which is why the opponent scores so much in the paint. The better the back court can do, the better chance for a win, Sweet 16 or loss in the first round, which Altman's teams haven't done yet.

Hey Finebaum, You're Forgetting Somebody Aren't you?
30Duck replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Who do we really expect to make Noise in the SEC this season? Texas, with cupcake schedule? Kiffin? Will Alabama get revenge on Okie and Vandy? SC" Of course LSU with Kelly is a lock for the CFP. Looks like Georgia...unless I missed somebody. -

Is Nate Bittle the Best Ducks Center of All Time?
30Duck replied to Signoramous's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Dante was great, when he played. If he'd been able to play this season, who knows how good he, and the team could have been. -
Is Nate Bittle the Best Ducks Center of All Time?
30Duck replied to Signoramous's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I hope he is back. This is his first injury-free season. He made 3rd team. All-Defense. I think another year he could do at least that well again, maybe better. -
Is Nate Bittle the Best Ducks Center of All Time?

Yeah, Ballard was a power forward, the center was Gerald Willet. I have to go with Blair, Stan Love also needs consideration. -
Oregon out of Big Ten Tournament after 74-64 loss to Michigan State - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM “Made too many mistakes to beat a good team,” head coach Dana Altman said in his postgame press conference. Oregon men’s...

Yes. I have State in the Final Four, and they'll probably beat teams by more than 10 on the way. OBD could lose their first game, but as a 5 or 6, I doubt it. I think they can make the Sweet 16.

Spot on. When it's obvious you're undersized, blocking out, diving for loose balls should be the plan from the start. Missing a shift, not right on every rotation, these happen, but not hustling or blocking out aren't mistakes, they're lack of effort. Michigan State had the physical advantage and also hustled more.

42-32 State at halftime. State got off to an 8-0 start, Oregon battled back, and it was close until State went on a 11-2 run. According to the announcers, the Ducks aren't all on the same page. The fouls are going State's way, which might be a little subjective, but the offensive rebound and 2nd chance points is why the Spartans are winning.

Oregon basketball HC Dana Altman sends confident Big 10 message after Indiana win CLUTCHPOINTS.COM Oregon basketball coach Dana Altman exudes confidence after the Ducks' dominant Big 10 tournament win over Indiana

USC didn't help itself when one guy hogged the ball like I used to see a guy do in pick-up games at Gerlinger hall in the 70's. The Trojans' chances at an upset ended when the player dribbled, and dribbled and dribbled, then tossed the ball right to a Purdue player.

"There are essentially three schools making noise in the Big Ten," Finebaum said. "I don't count Indiana. Indiana to me was a paper tiger. You have Ohio State. You have Michigan. The last two winners. Then you have Penn State who many believe, although I'll have to believe it to see it, is a factor this year."

Dan Lanning Left 'Unsatisfied' After Oregon Ducks' 2024 Season
30Duck replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
"Unsatisfied" wasn't the adjective I felt after the Rose Bowl. But and I really hope I don't see/hear, "unfinished business" as I'm really tired of that one. "Unsatisfied" does work now: undefeated regular season, wins over Michigan and osu2, B1G Championship over Penn State. Those are great achievements and really shouldn't be the floor for OBD going forward. I think making the CFP is a realistic expectation. -
Definitely. State is vying for a 1 or 2 seed, so they'll be intense. Let's see if getting a game in is an advantage for the Ducks against Sparty who'll be playing their first. State is good, but they're not a super team, Indiana beat them during the season. Ducks had TO's early, cleaned that up in the 2nd half. The flow of the game looked good, few early 3's. Neither Bittle nor Shelstad had great games, but the Ducks were really in control of the game.
