  1. That's more like it. Florida, on a 9-0 run, ties it up at 49.
  2. Auburn 46 Florida 38. The upside for the Gators is they can play better; the downside is that Auburn might not, so unless the Gators can pick it up in every area. Charles Barkley is going to be very happy when this game's over. Auburn is definitely the more physical team so far; points in the paint, Auburn 26 Florida 14.
  3. Hey Finebaum, have you seen this? 3 B1G's and only 2 SEC's!
  4. So was I. I was definitely rooting for UCLA against SCAR. Haven't liked them at all since their coach decided that THEY were the champs in 2020, when it was OBVIOUS that Oregon was the best, and now TeHina Paopao, from a Duck to a Gamecock? Boo, I say!!!
  5. I still have residual "Hate" for Florida, from the 2007 elite 8 against OBD, but I picked them to win, so there's that. I've been a Duke fan since I heard they had a player named Spanarkel. Flagg is the best player left in the field, and his teammates are good. But I don't know if they're as good as the talent on the other teams. Michigan was right there with Auburn last game, until Auburn went on a 22-0 run, and it was over. Houston has been consistent, didn't put Purdue away as easily as Duke has won its games. It's definitely because Oregon didn't have it, but Florida plays tough D, hit's the boards and shoots the 3, and makes them. Haugh has really stood out so far. Unless you're Joe Namath, guarantees are worthless, but I can guarantee that both of these games will be close.
  6. I have Florida over Duke in the Championship, but I have no confidence in that pick at all now. Some might like a Cinderella finish, but for me, this is the perfect ending. These are the 4 best teams, congrats to the basketball committee! All No. 1 seeds? All for it! Why this men's Final Four will be great - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM No low seeds? No problem. We get to watch four of the most efficient teams of all time match up -- and that's a good thing.
  7. No. 5 Oregon softball edges past Michigan 3-2 - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM On a night of imperfection in most facets of its game, No. 5 Oregon (33-3, 7-1 Big Ten) found a way to win again anyway. A ball...
  8. Ducks were up 2-0, but Michigan tied it in the 5th. But, like the great Oregon teams did, it didn't take long for the Ducks to get back on top. Paige Sinicki led off the 6th with a double, that would have been a single for most hitters, then came around with what would be the winning run.
  9. I honestly feel worse about the basketball team's loss to Arizona in the Round of 32, than I do the Rose Bowl against osu2. The Buckeyes, for reasons we all see now, won the Natty, they were a great team. Arizona lost in the next round. The Rose Bowl was over after 5 minutes. In the game against Arizona, the Ducks had a 15 point lead before the 1st half was half over, by halftime Arizona was ahead. Choking is usually reserved for a singular moment, at the end of the game. But the basketball team, "Choked" at the free throw line, for the entire game. They thought they had it won when they got the big lead. But Arizona was not nervous at all, they knew Oregon was SOFT. and they just went out and took over the game.
  10. The Erickson Beaver team was a mirage, along with Leaf's Cougs team that went to a Rose Bowl. Love baseball, but that's the only sport that either of the Pig2 could really compete in consistently. Beaver Nation gets kudos for supporting their team. through the good, but mostly bad, seasons, year round. Both schools suffered from delusions of grandeur, worse that Washington. They should have joined, Idaho, Idaho State, EWU, and the others, in the Big Sky Conference, long ago.
  11. No. 5 Oregon softball eases past Oregon State 9-1 - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM Revenge is even sweeter when it comes against a rival. In a 9-1 win over the Oregon State Beavers (14-15) on Wednesday, the...
  12. Fascinating. I saw Jabba's post and thought, "yeah, I agree with this", then I read, Geotech's, and it made a lot of sense. As transfer portal enthusiast, Issac Newton said, "For every transfer portal out, there's an equal transfer portal in". Issac's team, the Neutrons, never made the tourney. I don't think Tracey is a huge loss by himself, but I don't know if Pryor will equal his production, and if OBD have to give Bittle a lot of NIL to stay, and Shelstad & Evans, that cuts into the amount left to entice new players. I hope we haven't heard anything from Shelstad because it goes without saying that he's staying.
  13. Thank you for covering that, Charles. Hopefully the injuries aren't serious enough to affect the season, far be it that the Huskies would ever use injuries, or anything else for that matter. as an excuse for losing to OBD...wait, April Fool's was yesterday!
  14. Couldn't agree more, can't stand Stephen A or McAfee, never watch their shows, and I wish McAfee wasn't on Gameday. Give me more Saban. The show was better when it was 2 hours. The Big Show on Fox is becoming more palatable all the time.
  15. Flag The NFL does it, along with some other "Skill" competitions, replacing the traditional "Pro Bowl", it's a lot more entertaining to watch, sounds like a good idea.
  16. You had me, Jon! The only personality I like less on ESPN than Stephen A is Pat M, so, I was actually relieved by the change, as I could officially drop GameDay. I haven't watched regularly for the last few years, and while Corso's pick at the end is still Must -See, it's not good now, Willie Mays was painful to watch in the 1973 World Series pitting his New York Mets against the Oakland A's, and Corso looks like Willie now.
  17. That's my prognostication.
  18. Probably the least "exciting" of the star's left in the Final Four, but he's great, more than any other player he reminds me of Magic. 6'9 with great handles, and a better shot than Magic, He looks like everything is effortless for him on the court.
  19. It was cool. My first day I showed up and walked up the gangplank showed a sailor a card, and he told me some sailor jargon that I didn't know at the time. But somebody heard him, and told me to follow him, I did, and was directed to the S5 birthing compartment...imagine the old Mac Court locker room. The Nimitz was not luxurious for us sailors, the officers, especially, the XO, Captain and Admiral, on occasion had it okay. Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, playing basketball on the flight deck. You learned not to think about how long the deployment was, 1 day at a time got you through it. '
  20. I think this is a good move, for Bittle and OBD. I don't see him being on the NBA radar currently, another good year at Oregon is good for all concerned.
  21. I spent 8 years aboard CVN 68. started as a member of S5, preparing food for the officers, luckily, I got out of that, and was assigned to the Masters At Arms force. Which provided me the opportunity to cover every inch, the cooks work horrendously long hours. Along the way, I was put in charge of managing the XO, he didn't care for sports, so he gave me his season tickets to the Seahawks. The Nimitz was big, but when we’d pull into a port, some of my shipmates couldn't find it after a night of imbibing. The jet pilots were usually very cool, as were the guys who would wave their arms while the jets landed on the flight deck. Of course, it was the E8's -E9's, Sr. and Master Chiefs who made things go, and the smart Lt's knew this. The Marines, when kept fed. were generally sane.
  22. Oregon Ducks' Derrick Harmon Rising Up NFL Draft Boards After Pro Day WWW.SI.COM The Oregon Ducks had one of the best defensive fronts in the country this past season, and anchoring the defensive line was...
  23. A 16-0 run by Auburn opened up a lead, but State got back to 7 down, Auburn leads, 33-24 at halftime.
