  1. 9-31 shooting, 29% for the Ducks in the 1st half, 2 shot clock violations. If they can manage to shoot, maybe, 36% in the second half, they win.
  2. On the pregame show the B1G Network analyst said, "Bamba has been really inconsistent". The problem, as we discussed in the other thread is that Bamba's shooting hasn't been IN-consistent, it's been consistently bad for the last 8 games or so. The analyst said he wants Bamba to, "be more aggressive" Having Bamba near the top in attempted shots doesn't seem like the best strategy to me.
  3. I agree and it's interesting because Beck and Cam Ward are very different. Mario's message to QB's, "Don't worry, I'll stay out of your way"
  4. Report: Carson Beck Plans to Enter CFB Transfer Portal After Declaring for NFL Draft BLEACHERREPORT.COM College football's transfer portal is reportedly adding a headline name. Pete Nakos of On3 reported Thursday that Georgia...
  5. No agriculture science necessary. No need to re-seed if it's just fine without the auto-byes to the conference champs, just give them to the top 4 teams, with as Solar suggested, 1 week off. Which hopefully could happen in the new format.
  6. Boettcher is an all time Duck, he left it all on the field. He says he has "unfinished business". We saw what Cody Simon , LB, Ohio State can do in the Rose Bowl. It's what, it looks like Wilson will be doing at Ohio State next year. If Devon Jackson is close to matching Simon & Wilson, OBD will be getting closer to where Ohio State and Georgia are.
  7. Dakorien is listed at 5'10, DeVonta Smith won the Heisman at 6'0, so not too much of a difference. Jeremiah Smith is 6'3 and we all, unfortunately, know what he can do, and he isn't eligible for the NFL for two more years! Moore to Moore hopefully will be a huge part of Oregon's offense in 2025.
  8. The Breakaway RB is the stark difference between 2024 Oregon and the other Duck teams that contended for a title, or as far back as Reuben Droughns, whose team didn't have a Natty in sight, but he was thunder & lightning. James was, "not a 60 yard run, but would get 60 in a drive". As David mentioned, the lack of a explosive play from the RB was noticeable through the game, particularly in the 2nd half. But perhaps some lightning can be in the forecast in 2025.
  9. I thought the SEC was 'All for one, one for all' more than any other conference, it's always that way in the rankings, when a loss is always a good loss. Texas is a Newbie, Oklahoma knew its place, except when it lambasted Alabama! But. the SEC would certainly want one of theirs to beat B1G Ohio State, wouldn't they?
  10. Definitely the case when the lead in assists is 2.7, by 3 different players. It doesn't make sense to say that Oregon "needs" a Point guard, when they're 13-2. But it's an obvious flaw that needs to be addressed. I suppose it could be hard for the other teams to plan a defense against Oregon when there is no plan. But playing freelance for a complete season seems problematic. One tactic they could change is to get Bittle more touches, especially at the basket.
  11. The Ducks have not lost on the road or neutral court this season.
  12. This is the issue. Bamba, Shelstad & Key are tied, with 2.7 assists per game. If Bamba would emerge from that and lead the team in assists, it would be much better.
  13. During Saturday's Navy All-American Bowl on NBC at 1 p.m. ET, Kamiak (Washington) three-star athlete T'Andre Waverly is set to announce his commitment. According to 247Sports' Brandon Huffman, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound pass-catcher will announce from a final three of Notre Dame, Oregon State and Washington. Prediction: T'Andre Waverly to Oregon State Beavers
  14. I really hope the proposed B1G-SEC games happen, no neutral fields, H & H, Oregon-Georgia, Ohio State-Alabama. Penn State-Texas, Michigan-South Carolina, USC-Texas. SEC's bottom 3 would probably handle B1G's bottom 3.
  15. In Quad1 games this season, the Ducks are 1-2 @ MKA, W against Maryland, L's against UCLA, Illinois. Away, 1-0 against, yes, Oregon State, and neutral, 3-0, Texas A & M, San Diego State & Alabama. Obviously Autzen is a great home field advantage, so is PK Field, and "The Jane" MKA? The record is better at home than on the road, but MKA doesn't have much to do with that.
  16. This, not the format, is why the end of 2024 was so hard to take. Truly, I'm glad the game went the way it did, rather than Ohio State winning by 1.
  17. If you have another team to mention, please do. HDuck listed all the Duck teams that were so close. As to 2014, no doubt the missing WR's was huge, 2 drops, by Stanford & Nelson stalled drives.
  18. Hope he goes to Chargers, Lions or Buccaneers, I'm getting spread out on NFL teams!
  19. Last night, No.1 Tennessee lost its first game of the season, 73-43, at Florida. So, it was on the road, and to a really good team. But it was 30 points, Tennessee just didn't have anything last night. Road trips are scary, and really scary in this conference. Ohio State lost to Maryland, 83-59 and 4 games later, beat Kentucky, 85-85.
  20. Oregon LT Josh Conerly announces 2025 NFL Draft decision SPORTS.YAHOO.COM Oregon Ducks left tackle Josh Conerly announces his decision surrounding the 2025 NFL Draft.
  21. It seems to me that Altman's defenses have always focused on guarding the basket more than the perimeter. The 3 is becoming more and more what runs an offense and Altman may have to alter his design. Facing two more teams who like to shoot threes, Oregon basketball must improve its 3-point defense
  22. No.3 Seed, that is really good in "March Madness!". Future NCAA Tournament projections have Oregon basketball as a top seed and playing in the Pacific Northwest
