Bittle's Career Day Powers Oregon over Washington 80-73 in OT
30Duck replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think a bigger advantage would be to play as hard as they do the last 3 minutes for the prior 37. The loss to UCLA in the last second should have told them it's risky. -
Congrats to Maryland. When Oregon beat them early in the season it wasn't that big of a deal. Pre-season Indiana.2nd finishes 9th. Pre-season 1 Purdue finishes 6th. Washington, preseason 15th, finishes LAST.

This is sad, and a lot of Indiana's fans will be at the B1G Tournament. Anytime there's a look, the move from Mac Court, "The Pit", one of the most intimidating, raucous home courts in basketball to MKA shows that Oregon threw up an airball.

Salty Trojan Tears Taste Sweet to Me...

A nice weekend, baseball sweeps the Trojans, men's basketball thumps the last place Huskies, who finished 2 games behind 17th place Rutgers. -
Can We Chat About the QB Position at Oregon?
30Duck replied to Signoramous's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
An argument can be made, here it is, that the most important position is left tackle, occasionally, RT. We saw what happened to the best OB in the NFL, when Mahomes was a tackling dummy in the two Super Bowls KC lost. -

Not only that, but 7 in a row overall. In the B1G that ties the Ducks with No.1 Seed, Michigan State. in the AP. Houston, 10, Louisville has 9. Duke, Clemson, BYU, 8. -

For a lot of the game, Bittle had more points than the rest of the team combined. Eventually, the rest of the team, not Shelstad, 4, caught up, finished with 44 to go along with Bittle's 36. Evans missed two free throws at the end of regulation but finished with 11 points to go along with 11 rebounds. The Huskies just weren't good enough to take this one. But this needs to be a wake up call for the Ducks. Indiana, in the first game of the B1G is the most important game for the Ducks this season. -

36-33 Oregon at halftime. With absolutely nothing to play for, except beating Oregon, Washington looks like they want this one more than Oregon does. Bittle, with 21, is 2 points away from his career high. -
Shortly after the film's release, five of the actors who portrayed basketball players in the film were suspended by the NCAA from their real-life college basketball teams for three games. The NCAA determined that they had been paid to play basketball, making them ineligible.[9]

The Huskies are so bad, they have no chance at making the B1G Tournament, so that takes some of the bite away, the crowd will bark a bit, but hopefully the Ducks will start fast and remember that they "own this place!" -
Ducks Softball (21-1) Downs No. 8 Florida State 2-0!
30Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
She deserves a TON of credit. Oregon softball was sinking when White left for the $$$ at Texas, and took a lot of players with him. All Lombardi did was leave the No.1 program in the country, Oklahoma, to take on the challenge of building Oregon back up and has done a great job! -
Making the CFB Playoff With an Inexperienced QB?
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Or, what if we use Purdue as an example? It wouldn't look good This metric doesn't have any room for improvement, and even if Purdue returns all the starters, it's not a reach to believe they'd be better next season. What I'm thinking too, Sayin's athleticism might have had him getting to the ground a split-second faster than Howard. -
So, the Ducks play the team they just beat at home, at a "Neutral" court this time, then if they beat Indiana, get No.1, Michigan State. Another "Opportunity"

Even with the stacked roster. Miami needed help from the video room and hero ball from Ward, and still missed the ACC Conference championship, let alone the CFP. USC and The U will be in a race for Also Receiving Votes crown.

Making the CFB Playoff With an Inexperienced QB?
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Allar is returning at Penn State, but with the weapons at PSU, just Sayin at osu2 and Moore at Oregon look to have a lot more weapons to get the ball to. Down in the SEC, this is the most pressure Alabama has had since before Saban got there. Roll Tide isn't in the Way Too Early Top 5's, maybe not even Top10's, and they're looking for revenge against Oklahoma & Vandy? The rematch between Texas & Georgia? Another in the line of tough games for the Dawgs & the toughest test for the Longhorns. The schedule won't be too much again in 2025, but what will Indiana do with a new QB, and that other team from Indiana will have a new QB too. -
Can Our Beloved Ducks Have A Successful March Madness?
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
There is talk now that with a win at Washington, and at least 1 win in the B1G Tournament, the Men could end up a 5, which seems about right. The Altman push has come along again to put them in this spot. I can see a Sweet 16. or a loss in the first game. I don't see anything past the 16. Bamba has turned his game around, and it's no coincidence that the team is winning now. Shelstad & Bittle are a good combo, but the Ducks still don't have a reliable 3rd option. They aren't a good rebounding team, and the defense has picked up, Bittle blocks shots, but opponents can basically score at will in the paint, and hit 3's. We saw the Women lose their first game in the B1G Tournament, and I wouldn't bet on them getting a win in the NCAA' Tournament for No.20. But the step up from last season is impressive. -

Indiana 40 Oregon 30 at halftime. It could have been worse. 3's are falling for Indiana, 6 -13, but they also have 3 players with 3 fouls. Oregon is 1-1 on 3's and have missed two lay-ups. -
