Canada Wins Four Nations Championship in OT, 3-2.
GatOrlando started the hockey talk asking how a Ducks hockey team would be received, of course the answer is, it would awesome! There is nothing like hockey. Unlike soccer, a 1-0 lead is pretty much game over. Here a 1-0 lead just makes it more exciting. Now it's 1-1 so even more exciting. None of the NHL players are making close to NFL, NBA, MLB $$$ and on a merit scale that's ridiculous.

Why the B1G and SEC Proposed Playoff Changes Are Good for College Football
With the transfer portal & NIL, the myth of "Student athlete has really been shoved aside. Now I believe the want for the college game to stay different from the NFL is becoming antiquated. Uniformity in rosters, Number of games, SoS will help, through NFL model parity, the expanded playoffs being competitive and eliminate the need for automatic byes.

USC Joins Others Cancels Spring Game
Yes, teams aren't looking at OBD's Spring Game and saying, "Holy Smokes, check out that Dakorien Moore!" I wouldn't mind if OBD joined the opt out list, calling it a "game" has always been a stretch.

Oregon Survives! Beats Iowa 80-78
Not a bit. Of course, Robbie Hummell from last night, played at Michigan State, the only pro-Pac-12 in the bunch is Don MacLean, the former Bruin. Oh, do we miss Bill Walton! Watching, listening to him forgo "The Conference of Champions" for the B1G would have been incredible.

Canada Wins Four Nations Championship in OT, 3-2.
More import than the Stanley Cup, I don't think so. Country pride is huge, and a LOT of people will be watching, but Lord Stanley is still the most important title in hockey. Russia beating the USA for the Gold in '72, initiated the "Dream Team", pro basketball players, to set things right. All the NBA players are proud of their gold medals, but they all strive for an NBA Championship ring.

Oregon Survives! Beats Iowa 80-78
Two late reviews go Iowa's way. Shelstad can't get the ball upcourt in time, then he steps out of bounds, turns the ball over. A loose ball goes right by Angel, does he dive for it? No. Speaking of lack of urgency, kind of perfect that Shelstad's 3 was ruled to have not been in time, he did make the crucial 1 & 1, ended up with 3 points. Great game for Bittle and a good one for Evans.

Oregon Survives! Beats Iowa 80-78
Oregon leads by 8 at the half, 45-37, and are getting the scoring in the paint, Bittle leads with 14, Ducks are also picking up 2nd chance points! 1 point for Shelstad so far.

Why the B1G and SEC Proposed Playoff Changes Are Good for College Football
Absolutely true. The best line I read in the article is that this would see the SEC move to a 9 game schedule, I must also say that relieving the Committee of anything is a step in the right direction, but the committee wasn't at fault for the seeding. They had the teams ranked properly; the format caused the damage, as Rece Davis had to clarify each week on the ridiculous Reveal Show.

Is 2025 The End of Lanning’s Mercenary Teams?
Dabo didn't use the portal at all, and Clemson has fallen off, looks like they'll be more active now. "Google Me, I win" Cig built his winning team on a SOFT schedule and transfers, we'll see how the "emerging superpower" does in 2025. As Jon noted, Lanning has the Ducks at the top of recruiting and Portal, and fewer portal this coming season. This is what OBD needs to compete with osu2 and Georgia.

Will a Portal-Heavy Team Win a Natty?
I appreciate using "Will" rather than "Can" a portal heavy team win a Natty. Such a team can win a Natty, but I don't think a team with say 16- up of the starters would end up champion. Reload rather than rebuild isn't just an expression, it's a sign of depth & experience, a player here or there, and you're ready to go. OBD is behind osu2 & Georgia now because those two have been the leaders in recruiting for years, that builds a team, especially on the, now clear to all, incredibly important OL, that needs continuity to play at its best. QB's and receivers work better when they know each other. So far Lanning has shown how recruiting, and portal can be used effectively together, OBD is at the top of both lists, osu2 did great work in both and ended up with a Natty last season. Moore is interesting as he was originally recruited by the Ducks, but looks like he'll be at his best coming to Oregon via the portal.

Sweden ties it up, the electricity definitely muted for this one, but still better than the NBA.
