  1. Full agreement. UCLA fan would argue, but I thought the Bruins played a great game, according to MacLean, they never shot 3's like that before, and when that happens, the whole game picks up. Meanwhile, the Ducks played worse than they have all season before they flipped the switch and were ready to win. Angel is in a slump, Bamba lost his shot completely 3 games ago, and they still almost won.
  2. The last time osu2 was an option to play OBD they were down to their 3rd string QB, but they beat Alabama and Cardale and Ezekiel ran over the Ducks. Now osu2 is another SEC team away from facing the Ducks again. We know the Ducks can beat osu2, Tennessee is new. I'd rather go against Tennessee. If the Ducks play the Dawgs, I don't think Smart would defer and let the Ducks start with the ball. This would be a great game for reasons that are obvious to all.
  3. Lanning says it's a "great opportunity", practically every other coach would be whining like crazy!
  4. Thee Bruins were hitting 3's all game long, including the dagger at the end; but that block on Shelstad sure looked like goaltending to me.
  5. Make it 10 in a row, Ducks! SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM The official Men's Basketball page for the University of Oregon Ducks
  6. The "neutral" label is ridiculous, only used because the game isn't in either of the teams own venue. Not sure what adjective would be more accurate, but neutral isn't it.
  7. Oh, very true, his Duck "hater" role on "Talkin Ducks" is absolutely necessary. A show with just Anthony Newman and Joey would be unwatchable.
  8. Going through the comments at a Husky site, and this one stuck out Duhks - winning an NC in football to finally match the Huskies... Seriously, your championship was a split between newspaper polls!
  9. I'm only 99% sure; Fentress isn't voting for Gabriel.
  10. As bad as Nessler/Danielson were, I'm thankful to the nth degree that we weren't subjected to Gus "He got a first down!!!" Johnson. The guy is is exhausting. A part of the problem is that he made his name calling a shot by a Husky that won a basketball game. I don't remember the details, but the echoes will never leave. Imagine if Gus did the play by play at the Forum with Decorum, "Did you see that post, and that quote!!!"
  11. Votes for Hunter & Jeanty are votes for "Wow". "Did you see that!" Gabriel has made plays all season that decided whether Oregon won or lost, and his run to wrap up the win over osu2, the 4th & 9 pass to Ferg were Derek Jeter clutch. Gabriel was the QB of the only undefeated team. He couldn't do more.
  12. Yes. By now franklin has enough experience in losing big games that he should at least have the basics in sportsmanship down.
  13. It is the lack of re-seeding that is the problem, more than the committee. March Madness does it right. They work to not have a Oregon-osu2 come up again until maybe the Championship, and if at all possible, Oregon vs. ASU would happen.
  14. I agree, Gabriel has been overlooked and downplayed all season. Hunter and Jeanty have been spectacular, but their "moments" don't amount to what Gabriel has put together all season.
  15. Travis Hunter was at home; the Buffs will play somebody in a bowl game somewhere. Jeanty had a great game, and the Broncos are in the Playoffs. But last night, Dillon Gabriel had the stage and put on a performance. His best "moment" might have been falling on the fumble. But throughout the game his play guided the No.1 Ducks to another victory, over a very formidable opponent in Penn State. More than anything else, games are won and lost based on the play of the quarterback. Allar, 2 interceptions, Howard didn't slide in time. Gabriel wasn't perfect. But no mistake cost Oregon a game.
  16. Lanning being interviewed right now, his answer to "maybe having a tougher road than the 6th seed?" "What an opportunity" So glad he's, our coach.
  17. Tez was amazing, he was uncoverable! On one of his catches he ran right between 2 PSU defenders, who must have felt a whoosh go by!
  18. Alabama will probably choose to not play in a Bowl Game now.
  19. They built up a lead, had PSU by 18, it got cut to 4. PSU never took the lead, that's what I took from the game. Penn State is a great team. They gave the No.1 team in the country their best shot, it wasn't enough. Not giving up the lead is huge. The momentum was swinging, but OBD never let PSU take it. They didn't step on PSU's neck, but PSU never breathed easy. No satisfaction for Penn State.
  20. I know that Lanning doesn't have the experience of losing big games like Day & Franklin have. He lost 2 last season, to the Huskies, and somehow, he didn't sound like a whiny kid. I guess you have to keep losing and losing and losing to get that down.
  21. It starts at 9:00 on ESPN with the CFP Reveal, that goes on for quite a while, at 3;00, the other undefeated Ducks team, the 9-0 Mens basketball team hosts UCLA, at 3:00 on BTN SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM The official Men's Basketball page for the University of Oregon Ducks and to cap it off, Justin Herbert and the Chargers are at Kansas City to take on Mahomes and the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football on NBC
  22. I agree, Penn State brought it last night, both teams struggled to stop the other on offense. PSU had nothing that could contain Tez, and JJ and Whitting both had some timely runs, and Sadiq went up and over! Oregon had Gabriel; Penn State had Allar.
