Again, with the "can". Yes, Texas can beat Ohio State. I can win the next Powerball. Will I win the next Powerball? I actually think my chances are just about as likely as Texas is to beat Ohio State.

Penn State, due to the severely flawed Playoff format found itself in a position it didn't deserve. I thought they'd win, but I really just wanted a B1G Final. Ohio State would have steamrolled Penn State. Are Penn State fans as upset by Franklin as Ohio State's "lunatic fringe" is with Day. It doesn't seem like it, and that's fine, him staying and Riley still at USC works out fine for OBD.

You won't hear this from Altman. Following the game, Cronin publicly berated his team and questioned its toughness. "Obviously, they shot the ball well," Cronin said. "But we're soft. Basic scheming shows that not having to deal with Stewart stretching the field took away a lot of what Tez could do so well. It's also true that when a team loses it will make more adjustments than will the team that won. Not having Stewart wasn't something Ohio State did, but Chip and the offense "opened the playbook" a lot more than it was in the first game.

Absolutely right. It's amazing how flawed this team is, and yet how good it is. The defense, save for the Illinois game, has been a constant. The offense continues to be enough, almost every game. But shooting, hitting "the wide open looks" would make everything so much easier.

My analysis tells me we don't think Texas has much of a chance.

So far, the Ducks start games shooting from the outside. If they go in, all's good, keep it up. If they aren't dropping. the idea seems to be, "well, the next one will go in", and they find themselves behind. This makes for exciting games but is not a plan for success.

Just saw a headline, "Ohio State Could Land Top Transfer Quarterback" and it was referring to Beck. All I can say is please make that happen Ohio State. Beck doesn't help OBD at all if he goes to Miami.
