  1. I had given USC credit before for at least having accomplished enough to brag about, but they're sounding an awful lot like Washington now. Uneasy lies the crown SC, Utah is the favorite in the South Division.
  2. Just take a look at the articles on Trojanswire, it's a blitz of green and yellow! Trojans Wire | Get the latest USC Trojans news, schedule, photos and rumors from Trojans Wire, the definitive source for Trojans fans. 3. It makes me feel great. The law of averages, something about not counting chickens, tell me that Lanning can't be this good. But everything has been great, from the moment we knew he was the new coach to now. That doesn't mean it's Natty or bust! But I think this Ducks team will have a great season; they'll play hard every game. Lanning will make mistakes, Saban, the GOAT makes mistakes. We can all hardly wait for the Spring Game. We'll soak it up, and then, it's still a long time till September. But it will be worth the wait!
  4. Apparently, this is not shocking news to the Liberty. Good luck to Nyara and her rehab. Nyara Sabally won't play WNBA rookie season in 2022 247SPORTS.COM Nyara Sabally won't play WNBA rookie season in 2022
  5. Don't you just smile every time you see or hear what Oregon's offense is going to be like next season? Oregon Football: Dont’e Thornton has high expectations for new offense DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM With a new OC, new QB, and explosive young wide receivers, fans are being encouraged to get excited about Oregon’s new offense.
  6. I hope it would be, "Okay, see you in the Natty!"
  7. Whatever it takes I guess USC, For years we've known that the school up north was obsessed about Oregon. But now the major noise is coming from the south. But, unfortunately for USC, They aren't The South. Oregon’s offensive coordinator clearly tries to diminish USC TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham said a lot of things in a @Ducks_Wire story which will be posted in #USC’s locker room. You can be sure...
  8. Of all the bluebloods in college football, Texas has been leaking the longest. They beat USC in an epic Rose Bowl for the Championship. Sam Ehlinger shouted, "We're Baaack!!!" But they weren't. Mac Brown left Texas to go to Basketball centered, UNC and has the Tarheels in the top 25. Texas has done well recruiting wise during their drought. It's hard to figure.
  9. Trojanswire is not getting over Conerly choosing the Ducks over the Trojans. Wire sees it as a "Snub" to Riley. Transfer portal gives Lincoln Riley a chance to boost the USC O-line TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Two Georgia offensive linemen who were 5-star recruits out of high school have entered the transfer portal. Lincoln Riley knows what...
  10. Another example of how great the Georgia fans have been about Lanning being the new coach at Oregon. Throughout the process, unlike the noise coming from Oklahoma concerning Riley, Georgia fans are wishing Lanning well and are doing their part in setting up the game between Oregon and Georgia to open the season, to be one that both fanbases can be excited about.
  11. I have a really good feeling that Oregon's running game this season is going to be more like the ones we remember. Oregon Ducks Football: Byron Cardwell shines during spring practices DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon Ducks running back Byron Cardwell is primed for a huge year in 2022 after impressing toward the end of last season.
  12. The big thing here for me is that the No.1 for Riley is based on his accomplishments at OU. Newsflash, he's not at OU anymore, he's at USC! Keeping Lanning off the list because he hasn't been a head coach yet is fair. But Riley is riding on the coattails of what he did before taking his new job, which will be a whole new challenge.
  13. Exactly! There hasn't been an instance, much less, an incident from Lanning and his coaches that have raised an eyebrow, except on the faces of UW and USC. Aside from chronologically challenged, Lanning's staff is running like a well oiled machine.
  14. A 2 Seed in the baseball tournament isn't quite as significant as it is in the basketball tournament, but still a great job by the Ducks, and who knows, a strong finish, especially at home against Arizona to close out the season?
  15. Since Coach Campbell is the best position coach in Oregon history this makes a lot of sense. Carlos Locklyn uses connection to Duck legends to inspire greatness DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM “It’s my job to get that room back to the standard.” Oregon RB coach uses connection with Ducks’ legends to elevate current...
  16. Chase Cota explains his reason for wearing No. 23 with Oregon Ducks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM “I’m not trying to be Jeff Maehl 2.0, but I think it’s really cool that people bring it up and his name gets recirculated because I’m...
  17. It is definitely all speculation. There is evidence to project that Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia will be good. But right here in the Pac-2, nobody really knows how formidable Oregon or USC will be.
  18. Great article. Charles, I was thinking the same thing last night. Well, not the "Next Saban" exactly, but the potential I see in our new coach. Hindsight of course is 20/20 but I see a vast difference in Cristobal and Lanning, and I think one of the differences in the two is that Cristobal had what we think of as an advantage. Cristobal had head coach experience before taking over at Oregon. He believed he absolutely knew what he was doing. He didn't need to listen to his coordinators, or waste time on FG kicking and special teams. The players just needed to be tough, and as long as Oregon finished with more points at the end, it was good. Lanning on the other hand has watched and absorbed coaching greatness. He has surrounded himself with assistant coaches, some with NFL experience, and there is a mutual respect that seeps out to the players. I am very enthusiastic about the future of Lanning's Oregon teams, but not just the future, he and his staff have already accomplished tangible results that rocked college football. As far expectations? I don't buy that realistic is by default pessimistic or skeptical. It could be that everything is pointing towards success.
  19. You know, they might be onto something, or maybe Matt Z has been checking out the Forum. Oregon plays up its “SEC in Eugene” identity to foil Lincoln Riley TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM It’s no accident Oregon is leaning into an “SEC of the West” identity while Lincoln Riley is at #USC. The Ducks clearly have a recruiting...
