  1. This is where we are, that boring, sloppy, underperforming 21 point win over Mayland had a rumblin' no stumblin' dash by a 296 lbs DL on a fake punt, and scoring passes to a pair of OL's. Pretty sure no other team will do that, and that game was the "worst" OBD have had in the last 7. While I'm at the Forum with Decorum with all my Duck friends, I think about the Purdue fans, Northwestern. What are they thinking about?
  2. I'm really hoping that Georgia is on the upswing of their pendulum of a season thus far and beat Tennessee this Saturday. They'll be playing on ABC while the Ducks and Badgers duke it out on NBC, Saturday afternoon. No Miami drama, time for Mario to emphasize physicality, while Clemson is at Pittsburgh and SMU is home for Boston College.
  3. Big shout out's to Ahmad Rashad, Bobby Moore when he came to Oregon, from Tacoma, and Jonathan Stewart, from Ft. Lewis. On the other side is Budda Baker from Bellview, who was all in at Oregon, until the last minute, he turned purple. It's still fun watching him as a NFL player at Arizona intercept a pass, but be caught from behind, about 50 yards later by Seahawks WR, DK Metcalf. We all know the great job Lanning and the coaches are doing in recruiting. It used to be that the biggest objective in the recruiting was to make sure the Ducks got the best in-state talent. No offense, Justin Herbert was absolutely a great get. But the priorities have shifted for the Ducks. And no offense to this young man, he might turn out to be another "Scooby" at Arizona. But what has the UW fans jumping for joy now is the commitment from a 3 star in-state LB. Cheers to you, Don.
  4. Dana is really consistent with his postgame remarks, "We've got a lot of work to do". This time he added, Embarrassing effort. so many missed switches on defense, early shots..." This was definitely a game that OBD could have lost. They definitely didn't look like they were in control until OT. Portland, outplayed, outhustled them all night, and it was fortunate that the Pilot at the free throw line at the end of the game was the player who hadn't attempted a free throw this season. End of the night, it was a W. But they've got a lot of work to do.
  5. Tennesse @ Georgia this Saturday is huge. Georgia opened at -8.5, which I think is interesting after last week's game against Ole Miss.
  6. Hollywood loves re-boots, and as a fan of a B1G team, I hope this is what SC does.
  7. The SEC got preference like no other conference did in the 4 team format, just stands to reason they would get the same with 12 teams. We're not talking about 3 loss LSU winning the SEC Championship getting the AQ. According to precedent a 3 L SEC team is definitely deserving of an at large selection. Alabama got into the old format, without even being the SEC champion and won the National Championship. That proves they deserved it, right? No, the only thing that proves is that any team that gets in can win it all. "The 4 best teams" has now been replaced by the "12 best teams". I think there was more chance of an egregious snub with four, if your team is No.13, I don't think you'll have that much to cry about.
  8. Chip knows why. For Kelly, these dreaded noon starts centered around the Buckeyes’ quarterback. “Will (Howard) said if he gets to play at noon, he can complete 80% of his passes,” joked Kelly. “So, I think the controversy is over. You get a noon kickoff, he’ll complete 80 (percent). I know a lot of people have problems with what we’re doing, but if it means the QB can complete 80% of his passes, we’ll take it.”
  9. Does the Commitee just want that more? So it begins: ESPN is already pushing to bail the SEC out of nightmare College Footba FANSIDED.COM The College Football Playoff committee's ambiguous criteria created this headache and unfortunately for them, it's their...
  10. I think you're right. But a jrw stated earlier Riley is doing a great job for the rest of the B1G and no other team should want USC to do anything.
  11. 9 points. Anytime an Oregon team, does something the Sabrina, Ruthy, Satu team didn't, that's something. Especially on the defensive side after beating Baylor.
  12. Who knows. Lanning didn't hide Burch's injury. As far as they go, he's been pretty transparent. Unless it's Gabriel, and even if it was, I don't really see the advantage of keeping it a secret until kickoff time in Madison. Maybe last week's game raised some concerns in Lanning, and he wants to tighten things up as much as possible.
  13. The rankings of teams has more variables than the COY does. It is the case that in the COY, Cignetti and Indiana fit the bill perfectly, Cig has exceeded 0 expectations by a lot this season. If he was coaching the Indiana team from last season, and was 10-0, He'd have my vote. But this isn't that team, transformed into championship contender. We've gone over all the great coaching moves Lanning has made, What moves had Cignetti pulled off? What did he do in the 5 point win over Michigan? I think that Lanning meeting the expectations that were set for Oregon is impressive.
  14. That does seem to be the case. Cignetti should get COY because Indiana going undefeated against a schedule full of enough cupcakes to cause diabetes, exceeds the expectations? "Magical" should be the last requisite when grading coaching.
  15. Thanks, Darren, 14 divided by 7 is as deep into math as I want to get into either. At first, I couldn't understand what was happening either. The Ducks playing in the 3rd quarter were the same that were playing in the 1st and 2md. Why the drop off in production? The answer came through discussion, here in the "forum with decorum". It was a plan. It is "prevent offense" with a purpose. The Ducks were never in danger of losing to Maryland, or the others, when the scoring went into hibernation. This is going to be a season longer than any other. There is no reason to keep the assault going, show more of the playbook, add carries to the running backs in games that are already in the win column and the playoff is coming. Hockey does have its moments
  16. Why does Indiana, who hasn't played a top 25 team yet, survive Michigan, 20-15, and rise 3 places in the poll? Oregon beat ranked BSU by 3, and dropped 3 places. If either game was a harbinger of trouble ahead, it wasn't Oregon's 21 point win, it was Indiana's 5 point escape.
  17. Oh, the good old days. Used to be a player would get in trouble if he got a job at a car dealership; now the player can buy the dealership.
  18. Sources say Underwood has cooled om Michigan, open to offers from other schools, leaning towards LSU. The bidding opens at $10M
  19. Ethan at work
  20. Once a Duck, ALWAYS a Duck. RIP, John Robinson.
  21. Thank you for posting that, without a video of Bob Dylan singing it.
  22. So true, if tOSU was -17 you'd get the same action from the tOSU fan base.
