  1. You addressed the problem, Oregon's President Schill at least is showing an awareness of athletics at the U of O, which in a way is good, as he could be aware of the problem's we've been discussing concerning the Pac-12's place in the football world. It could be that the President's at the Pac-12 schools are like a lot of the western US population and not as interested in college sports, maybe football in particular, as the rest of the country is. This bolsters my thought of Oregon needing to align itself with a more sports driven conference.
  2. It's bad in Huskyville: You assume we are trying to compete in CFP. Not much I have seen that convinces me that we're trying to keep pace with Oregon, and now USC, and then a response, Perhaps, but those Montana Grizz better watch out!
  3. It would have been, but that loss to 4-11 Houston was bad! Chargers Playoff Chances: How Los Angeles can Clinch AFC Wild- Card Berth in 2021NFL Playoffs Jacob Camenker Sporting News
  4. Sometime in the distant past now there was actual thought of putting a dome on Autzen. But since, "it never rains in Autzen Stadium" that idea was scuttled. Attendance was increased but, I don't see the NFL coming to Oregon, where yes, 70,000 seats would be expected to be filled for games 8 times a week, in addition to the Ducks and Beavers games?
  5. Brenden Rice, 6'2, 204, former 4 star recruit had a great game against the Ducks last season, 5 catches, 102 yards, 1 touchdown. Now he's leaving Colorado. WR Brenden Rice Should Be One of Oregon Ducks' Top Targets in Transfer Portal Ducks Wire Zachary Neel
  6. During his introduction speech Lanning talked about how happy he was to be here at Oregon, that it was his dream job, that it was the premiere job in the nation. In a vacuum, Oregon has it all. No.1 facilities, a devoted fanbase, a generous donor, and an administration that wants to win. Lanning saw all this when he left his coveted position as DC at Georgia. So far, as detailed in topics here, he's come out of the gate full speed. He's already shown an ability to communicate with current players and recruits. We'll see what he does in game situations. The 2022 season is a tough one, it would be hard for me to call it 10-2 or bust with a seasoned coach in charge, let alone with so much new as this Oregon team will have. But I will be shocked if I see a team, that even when it wins, is boring. I'm not getting that from Lanning at all. It might have just been me, but Helfrich always looked uncomfortable in the chair he sat in for post- game interviews. I expect that Lanning will look like it was made for him.
  7. Y This and then the Pac-12 can be what Bill Walton says all the time, Conference of Champions!"
  8. It took a while, but Will Richardson finally had a game you expected from a pre-season 1st Team selection; 26 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, Jacob Young, 22 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists. How it happened: Oregon Ducks Pick Up First Conference Win With 79-66 Defeat Over Utah Zachary Neel Ducks Wire
  9. Right, but Clemson had a run of 5 consecutive CFP appearances, winning 2 Championships. As a conference the Pac-12 hasn't come close to that. Because of the ACC's Network's affiliation with ESPN, it's sounder financially, but a joke competitively., though the ACC might have won at least 1 Bowl game this season.
  10. It would be great if Oregon State could get to a place where the Pac-12 5, ORE, USC, OSU, Utah,UCLA could compete like Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin do.
  11. UCLA could be good, but it was USC, then it was Oregon and Stanford. One year, Washington got to the CFP. Can the Pac-12 get to where it has 4.5 teams with legitimate shots at the CFP regularly?
  12. You're right. Utah is solid, bring em along with the Ducks and Trojans.
  13. Oregon and USC should both leave immediately, the Big 12 just lost two teams. Oregon and USC are two great looking houses in a neighborhood full of shacks. Without getting into all the innerworkings, what is helping Oregon and USC by staying tetheed to the weakest P5 conference? Other than Oregon and USC, the other teams are either unequipped financially to compete at a championship level, and.or, their administration isn't interested in doing so.
  14. Yeah, the only teams to beat the Buckeyes were a team that played in the CFP and Oregon.
  15. Utes tie it up, 45-45, but 1:54 left, Lets finally see some defense!
  16. Buckeyes take the lead for the 1st time in the game, 45-38, 4:22 left in the 4th quarter.
  17. Interesting. Utah has brother vs. brother with Oregon and Ohio State.
  18. Flowe is hypothetical since he was gone so early. But it's hard not to think how much better he would have made the defense. We saw how Verdell did against OH. ST. As great as Never Say Dye was, having Verdell with him in the backfield, with his breakaway speed and pass catching ability? One would think, with Verdell still in the game, the Ducks would have gone on to beat Stanford,? His presence could have made a difference in the Utah games?
  19. 35-21 Utes at halftime. The record for most points in a Rose Bowl is 102, Oklahoma 54 Georgia 48, 2018.
  20. Ducks go for their first conference win against the Utes. Oregon hosts Utah in first contest of 2022 Go Ducks
  21. There will be a party, Nov.12 at Autzen, with The Pick Video, and everything!
