  1. Did you mean , "Confluence of Chumps"?
  2. Nice photoshop... Notice no toejam or bruin in the shot.
  3. I can remember a time when a much younger version of myself wished that Oregon and Oregon State would merge their respective athletic and educational disciplines, forming a much broader scope of opporunity within one institutional administration. In my youthful naivety, I believed that it would be possible to meld the teams, salvaging the best of each, and that the resultant talent pool would be superior to what either could bring to the table, alone, and thus be significantly more competitive. Foolish dream scenario, and one that would have deprived a large number of talented student athletes an opportunity to chase their own dreams. I honestly hope both can wade through the current sludge and emerge with a clear, workable future. That said... GO DUCKS!!!
  4. My family is literally split 50/50 between beavs and ducks, including degrees. I've had cousins who were basketball players at Oregon, and my stepfather played d-line for the beavs just prior to Pearl Harbor. I'd hate to see that tradition end.
  5. The little sister... ! Er, brothers of the poor, have no more control over the future of the PAC12, uh, 10, 9... whatever than Wazzu, Cal or a couple other faceless residents of this once Conference of Champions. Hopefully there is some stroke of genius in the wings to light the path ahead. Are you afraid of the dark? Oddly enough, I'm, not...yet!
  6. Something smells off-shore, sorta.
  7. Takes all kinds, I guess. I love the Ducks, perfect or not. Regardless of where they call home. This forum is still the best, safest place to celebrate that. Thank you, Charles!
  8. Anyone else like a medium rare buffalo burger? Might as well barbecue the buffs one more time! Hope the fix is sustainable! I have enough issues being stuck with CenturyLink as my only internet option.
  9. It's a small win for the rest of the PAC... No more 'trap road games' in Colorado during basketball season!
  10. Is Colorado gonna poop or git off the pot, as Grandpa used to say in slightly more "colorful" terms?
  11. The idea makes me wanna "SHOUT!" It sounds awesome. Unfortunately,I'm probably not free that weekend. I hope it comes together for those who can make it. This sounds like an incredible opportunity for a great group of OBDF to share their love for our chosen team and the game of life!
  12. Anyone else glad U Duh had the opportunity to experience Coach Pete, rather than Oregon?
  13. "3) This seems like a tipping point year in the UW - UO rivalry. If we win strong this year, as we should have a good chance to do, our recruiting should continue to pick up alongside continued excellent coaching (hopefully). This may be our time to get the upper hand in the rivalry! We have great coaching, a great city, strong NIL, and an excellent team. I wouldn't be surprised in ten years for us to jump ahead of UO, or at least achieve parody starting last year. Kind of finishing the work that coach Pete started" Seems apropo...
  14. Don't pop the bubble, Fathertime! Bask in the thrill of the moment!
  15. Rushing's bro is a player at AZ, as well, so it stands to reason his parents were beaming.
  16. Hope it was a great day of celebration for OBDF, everywhere! We shared a potluck (mostly Korean cuisine) dinner with a group in Basin, Montana, followed by fireworks in Boulder. The bbq Chinook salmon and Swedish meatballs were the only items I'd ever experienced before that, but it was all awesome. Quite a change from the normal routine at home in true Duck Country! Can't wait to get home.
  17. Happy Birthday, Charles! Wow! I'll be 70 on Labor Day weekend... I think you maybe got the better holiday! 77Diid you spatchcock that or hire indentured servants?
  18. "SO AT LEAST THAT'S MY HOPE "... How much more indicative the bias for the SEC/B1G can Klatt be?
  19. In about 1970, I had a PE instructor / wrestling coach who liked to show off his athletic skills. Ralph was about 6'2/300 pounds, and tried that move on the tramp, with catastrophically similar results. His thighs went through two sets of springs, and the resulting traumatic bruising took weeks to heal. Some unsympathetic types laughed for at least that long.
