Houston & TCU
San Diego state is coming to the PAC. Thats a market, in SoCal, you don't ignore. Then TCU, Tech, OSU, and Baylor. After those 4, decide if you are going to 20-24. Kansas, UNLV, BSU, SMU. Thats 21. Houston makes 22. Who else do you invite? FSU? If so, that leaves one left for 24. This would wrap up the Seattle, Portland/Vancouver, San Francisco, San Diego, squeeze into LA, Houston, Denver, DFW, Las Vegas, and Oklahoma markets. It's not the B1G, but it's a Power Conference heavy weight. Football would be no slouch, but BBall would be tremendous. Contenders no doubt. You could still have 4 pods with regional ties and 1 crossover from each pod per year. 1 money game and 1-2 T-ups to warm up for the season. This would preserve the PAC and close the door to the raiding from other conferences. It just might add some decent value as well.

Opinion: Pac-12 Will Still End Up in Big 12
There is a real growing reality forming right now. The absurd seems to keep coming to mind. The four corners go to the Big12/16, with Oregon and Washington finding a home with the ACC or the B1G. B1G makes more sense long term if they will have us. But, the ACC would jump at the remaining pile of the PAC and pick at our carcass. It would be monetarily beneficial for Oregon and Washington to move conferences, but, I would hate it. Another option is that UO and UW go to the Big12 as well and the rest of the schools get left on the trash heap. Again, I don't like it. But, if these schools are chasing money then we have to put our love for the game on the shelf and look at this through the lense of $$. The ACC would/could project even more money. However, that media contract is an albatross. So, here's my, maybe not so, absurd idea. Take the Big12 and the PAC and make a Super Conference. Call it the BIG PAC. Play 6 games within segment of conference with 2 crossovers. This leaves around 3 games for OOC games. 1 headliner per year and two cup cakes. This is harder than the SEC who likes to have 4 cupcakes and all at home each year. There are many storied conferences that have drifted into obscurity and then faded completely away. I'm getting the feeling the PAC is on the verge of oblivian. Make no mistake, we are going to have to settle. The PAC is Not in a position of strength in any way shape or form. Maybe, this is a way to save it. The alternative is picking at 2 carcasses to make a solid Super Conference. Either way, all of this is hard to swallow for this CFB fan.

Miami to SEC? Cristobal to Replace Saban? Were the Ducks Good?--First Take: Russo, Finebaum
Mad dog made a good point about Miami not being relevant for 20+ years. But, giving 0 respect to Utah for holding OSU to an excellent game and not accounting for Oregon winning the PAC 2/4 times and a Rosebowl. Ugh....

Sources: Big 12, Pac-12 Won't Partner as Talks Officially End
This is going to get scary. The PAC is clearly under Attack! Whats the advantage for Oregon here? I'm not talking about us fans and having the PAC remain together. The sheer value for Oregon, as it stands currently, is not to remain in the PAC. Sure they could win the PAC more times than not each year. But, if its on sheer opinion of who deserves to be in the play offs and not on Conference championships, then where is the advantage? If the SEC and B1G want no auto qualifiers, it's going to be a popularity contest of 20 years ago. Sure, go undefeated and it's no problem, but lose one game and we will be on the outside looking in more times than not.

Oregon’s Recruiting Strategy’s Major Pitfall
Just my two cents... Worrying about having too many 4&5* players at any given position because they might transfer.....is a GREAT problem to have. However, I do understand that we are talking about teenagers and their dreams. I would conclude that a player usually sticks around for 2-3 years before he considers transferring. This, no doubt, is because he sees the writing on the wall. He hasn't broke the rotation or become 'The Guy'. That is revealing in itself. So, I'm left to wonder, if you bring in a top 10 QB every year, how many starting QB's hold the reigns for only one year? What happens to the other 3 or 4 QB's in the room? They wait, and most of the time barely play their college career, unless they can break the rotation. Nothing given, everything fought for. You want to play, then go get better. Go to 'The Manning Academy' and find ways to get better. I'm not worried about TT. He seems to be a mature individual who gets it. He even mentioned how he needed to improve after a poor performance in the Spring game. Those are his words. Then he went and did something about it. He wants to earn the starting job this year. I personally only see one difference in Bo and Ty. They both made ill conceived throws at horrible times. Bo has history of doing this. Has he learned from that? Ty does it.... and he heads to the Manning Academy and owns the class. I think he fixed some things. I will take Ty Thompson based on what I can only read. Bo may start but Ty will be thrown into the mix along with Butters. By the 4th game we will know if there needs to be a change at the helm. If Ty is neck and neck, then you take Ty OVER Bo. If Butters' does the same then you take Butters'. Their development in the game is much more important this year than any perceived runs we might make. Nobody thinks we are heading to the Natty this year. Just my $.02

Terrible News...Spencer Webb Dies in Accident 🙁
I've been to those rock slides. Its a sad reminder that danger is all around us even for highly athletic people. I just hate hearing of tragedies like this. Even more so from youth, they are just starting, its not fair.

Talk About Justin Flowe Being Drafted? Come On!
Absolutely no way. No disrespect to Flowe but one year of awesomeness and 2 hears of season ending injuries in the first games or during practice leaves NFL teams a bit warey. A body of work is important for a 'High Draft' pick

Big Dave Reminiscing the Good O Days with Matayo
Possibly 4. Moore, Young, Hicks, UIag and a reclasification of ......Jurion Dickey. That makes 5.. Yep, I may be wearing green colored glasses, but thats how I see it. Samson Okun is the only other one out there. Dare I say 6? That's asking too much. Or....is it?

Canzano: Mailbag Deals With Pac-12's Emerging Options, Narnia, and Why the Blazers are Stalling
Well said. I can't help but think that creating two conferences with power names will create mediocre records. Yes, they will still be awesome, but eventually, USC, UM, tOSU, and the likes will leave a season being 10-2 champs more times than not. The beauty of the sport is that a UCF can rise up and go undefeated and catch lightening In a bottle. But, will the brand of CFB be irreparably damaged if only two conferences are the only ones with a shot? The opportunity missed here is that conference championships should be an automatic qualifier. Every school should be able to catch lightening in a bottle. David vs Goliath. It is whats 'Right' about CFB. Now its becoming just top tier. This is what I love about CFB. Not quality teams with NFL laden squads, but Boise State getting up for an Oregon team or Alabama for that matter. Thats whats 'Right' about CFB. Sadly, this kind of FB is being squeezed out. Just sad.

Commitment Preview; 2023 QB Dante Moore
3 hrs and counting. This kind of recruit, 5* QB, and in the early stages of recruiting, tends to open the flood gates to the top 10 talent of each position. I don't believe DL will need to find the diamonds in the rough as much as past Coaching staffs have had to do. The 4*/5* will be lining up in droves. This brings me to the ultimate goal. NC's and the path that needs to be traveled to get there. If Oregon stays in the PAC, the path to undefeated seasons is much clearer and that in turn opens the doors to the playoffs. It's time to Kick the Pig!

Ducks a Top-10 Brand per High-School Recruits
What a Crock! Mario did not unseat USC. USC was unseated 15 years ago when Carroll left. Oregon has been to the NC twice since then. No, Mari⁰ had nothing to do with unseating US&C.

Can the Pac-12 Stay Together?
UCLA and USC are gone. Thats all but been determined. The remaining value of the conference sits around $300 million. How do we increase the revenue per team with an expansion? Texas Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma St, (Kansas or Houston)? Can this quad increase the value by $30+ million per team? Can we get to $40 million per team? What teams can make that happen and still have a Super Conference?
-
Potential ACC/P12 TV Partnership
Think I would rather join the B1G for a 20% discount. We could take $70-$80 million and be just fine. $35 million is a joke. Or how about obliterate all remaining three conferences and pull a powerful super conference from the ashes. Oregon, UW, UM, FSU, Clemson, TT, Utah, Colorado, UNC, and 7 others. Of course media markets must reign.
-
Wall Street Journal P5 values.
Or two super conferences of 20 and 16. Its not just all about specific team revenue. Its the Market they are in as well. Clemson, FSU, The U, and Va Tech covers most of the eastern seaboard. Would ESPN rework the ACC contact for the likes of the top programs from the remaining conferences? One would think.
-
Oregon’s Best Long-Term Option
The ACC is a viable option. ESPN would rework the deal if it all of a sudden had a super conference at the table. Also, if ESPN was the instigator
