Someone DID Anticipate the Game We Saw! (Prediction Contest Winner)
The final score was 36-27, and Autzen Magic predicted 43-31, of which is only 11 total off. Most all of us were pretty high in our point expectations, but Autzen Magic zagged when the rest of us zigged. Congrats to him, and thanks to all who played!

Oregon vs. USC GameDay Thread: Join Us!
Here we are my Duck-Buddies, the thread for pondering the actual game as it happens. Let's discuss before, and during the game! The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we require civilized discourse. Discussion of negative is fine, but don't vent on us! Rule No. 31d covers GameDay Thread Conduct, and it is not hard for the vast majority of us--just a tiny few who need to reign it in when things don't go well for Our Beloved Ducks. Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game!

Or...take the good-or-good approach. If Utah wins good; if Washington wins, it helps Oregon, so good.

WeAreSC Site: 'This Has SLAUGHTER Written All Over It'
There were some interesting quotes from the video below--some that dropped my jaw...that I'd thought I'd never hear from USC faithful. They feel the best way to win is ball control and shorten the number of possessions, and stay close to Oregon until the fourth quarter. Then win it with their passing precision. They view the Washington game different than we do, as they think they should have won it. "A fumble, and one sustained drive by SC that did not result in points. That was the difference, is all, against Washington. If those two drives end differently, then the game end differently." Going into this game: "Getting to the Pac-12 Championship is conceivable." They do get realistic about their chances in the video, but feel the new DCs at USC can, "make Oregon earn it. They will try to not give up the wide open stuff on the LOS. The new DCs can make it so Oregon will have to block us." My head just about twisted off hearing that. They acknowledge how defenders are not even there at the LOS at times, and their goal is to make Oregon have to block them? Whew! "Lanning is going for the jugular; he is going to try to score 100 points to make a recruiting statement." Yeah...it is gonna suck to be you. I enjoyed this way-too-much!

Thank You Mr FishDuck for Last Night's Meet Up Event
The only negative about seeing you and your family....is that it had to end. So fantastic and enjoyable. Thanks so much for all you do for the forum!

Thank YOU, and it was fun chatting with you as well. We will do it again! (But at a lower-cost venue)

Thank You Mr FishDuck for Last Night's Meet Up Event
Kamikaze...I cannot express how much fun that was, and thank YOU. We yakked for five hours, and then NJDuck and I yakked for another hour and a half...I left at 11:30! For those in Eugene--we will need to meet for a pizza or beer on a regular basis, as I really enjoyed the opinions and analysis by others that attended. This was also instructive for me in that....I have regretted how many people have left this site in a huff because they could not get their way. But I've said often that I'd rather have much fewer member of NICE people, and last night was a group of such superb people, and great fans. I'd rather have fewer people like them on the forum than twice as many with tons of trolls. We really have a lot of great people on this forum... This (below) is the only picture I took, and it was before the event with my tech guy--to see the banner made for me 12 years ago. Of course once we got engaged in conversation--everyone forgot to take a picture!

To Slow USC’s Offense, Oregon Must Stop the Run
On the site, WeAreSC, they speak of how they want to run the ball on Oregon, limit the possessions, and remain close going into the 4th quarter so they can use their quick-strike capabilities to pull off the upset.

OBD Prediction Contest vs. USC!
There are few Oregon fans as fanatical as I, when I set my mind on something positive about Our Beloved Ducks. If we can put 63 on Cal? And we will run the ball easier on USC? And the Trojans have not faced a top-ten defense yet? I want 70!

What FLAG Will USC Carry Onto the Field?
Agreed. We have not had a defense this good against both rushing and passing in 11 years, and we are one of the nations best. Time to showcase it! Tonight at the OBD Get-Together...we are going to break down this guy's sackmaster moves...

What FLAG Will USC Carry Onto the Field?
In an Apple News article that most of us do not have access to--USC HC Lincoln Riley admitted that... USC didn’t review any of the game tape of their loss to Washington. Said with a new DC in the seat, why go back and harp on all the things that went wrong? Riley says that losing one game at Oregon won’t define the program or have a material impact on recruiting. Wow. He is waving the flags already.

Caleb Williams....Here is Some Autzen Advice for Saturday Night...
Agreed. If things don't go his way....he could blow up the NFL team with his spoiled, entitled judgment.

What FLAG Will USC Carry Onto the Field?
The last time the Trojans came to Autzen, the terror attacks in Nice France occurred, and as a show of support--they surprised the Oregon crowd with what they brought out during their entrance. While it was a nice gesture...rarely has carrying the French flag into battle worked out well. "I never said I was noble." (Photo from great FishDuck photographer Gary Breedlove)

The Oregon Ducks Offense: Touch Pass Sweep
ln the Gulf Coast Offense, Taggart ran a Jet-Sweep, but we did not pull players like this. I like it as it is our own updated version of "Student Body Right." Taggart brings an Ultimate POWER/MISDIRECTION Play Package to Oregon FISHDUCK.COM Charles Fischer of FishDuck.com analyzes a misdirection play series that launched Willie Taggart and will be the foundation of the Oregon offense next season. And a fellow detailed the Lead-Sweep and Jet-Sweep under Chip Kelly of which is a variation, but different from above. Thanks so much to Coach Boles!

OBD Prediction Contest vs. USC!
Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction versus USC? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Lets get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon, 70-30, 2, 4, 362 My prediction might be a bit wishful, but we need to win big, as I think style points are important with as many one-loss teams as there are. But I do think that if Oregon can score on their first three drives....the Trojans will lose heart and the landslide will be on. Gonna be a lot of these... Tonight at the OBD Get-Together--I will explain why I think this will happen within Oregon's offensive and defensive game-plans.

Caleb Williams....Here is Some Autzen Advice for Saturday Night...
Yes. Crying about losing a game is fine...in private. But you don't embarrass your team, and epitomize what everyone is saying about the program. Just another photo opp for Caleb...

Caleb Williams....Here is Some Autzen Advice for Saturday Night...
The old saying is different for the USC...."when the going gets tough, the Trojans cry on Momma's lap." If I was one of the USC offensive linemen, and looked up and saw that? I'd ask,..."why am I busting my rear for that big baby?"
