Oregon's Approach to Special Teams is 'Very Different'
Charles Fischer replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Again...more proof that this staff is exceptional. Think this was an upgrade from Bobby Williams? Oh yeah... -
Our Beloved Ducks! Moved up to No. 3 in RPI, and are No. 7 in Strength of Schedule. The winning in Baseball is not a fluke...

BOOM or BUST? How Lanning Can Silence the Doubters
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I am going to politely disagree on this one; Lanning has already shown that he and his staff will be 10 times the recruiters that Chip Kelly and his staff were, IMHO. Kelly not only had an offensive system, but was showing everyone else how to do it. Meanwhile I am waiting for the Spring Game and this fall to truly know what Dillingham is going to do. -
Diamond Ducks Take Down the Portland Pilots 5-4
Charles Fischer replied to ICamel's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Whew! It would NOT have been good losing to them, although get this; Portland was No. 66 in RPI, while our upcoming opponent, Washington State is No. 101! This win was good for our RPI! No. 12 Gonzaga Crushes No. 2 Oregon State 13-6
Charles Fischer replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
And we have another game with them in Eugene later--and could meet them in the playoffs if things go well.. -
It was bound to happen, and let's enjoy this journey. We play at Portland Tuesday at 5:00 PM, and we still have eight of nine starters hitting over .300! Crazy! Oregon baseball jumps in polls after sweeping Washington WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM The Ducks (24-11, 10-5 Pac-12) are No. 10 in Collegiate Baseball and Baseball America, No. 12 in Perfect Game, No. 20 in D1baseball.com, No. 22 in the National Collegiate Baseball...

BYU and Oregon Fan Here--I Come in Peace!
Charles Fischer replied to BYUTexan's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Welcome, and since I am over the Cougars kicking our butt in basketball...I can say now that sincerely. Fans of all schools are welcome, and please know--we do have some friendly Utah fans here as well! Do post your opinions, and perhaps this fall you can give us your thoughts on your football team prior to our big game. BTW...I gave you a BYU helmet avatar for fun and it looks great. And--as a note to everyone? The reason he might have come in walking on eggshells? It is because I revised our registration process and got it completed TODAY. I warn new members FIVE TIMES in the registration process that we are different here, have rules and enforce them immediately. Most who join are great people and we really have a wonderful community, but some will sign up and fling mud and feign ignorance of the rules when I email them. Our deletion/editing rate of over 10,000 posts was only 1/4th of 1% in the first quarter, but it seems a large number of those are newbies who don't believe we are serious about maintaining a GREEN REFUGE from the nastiness of the real world. Thus good people, like BYUTexan are quite welcome. -
My friend, I would love to have the 'Natty between Oregon and USC....if Georgia and Alabama can do it...so can we! It will require extraordinary recruiting and coaching, and it is quite possible that both staffs are up to the task. If both schools stem the tide of recruits in the west from leaving the west...to staying home at one of the two schools, then the conference and the schools win. A pipe dream for now, sure. But it is possible... We gotta do something about the SEC!

Should Oregon Football Fear USC?
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I NEVER thought I'd see this in my entire life...and it is true right now! More talent than USC? Whew! And that warms my heart--thanks! -
Should Oregon Football Fear USC?
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The incredible nationwide hype is wonderful for the conference....and for every team that beats them! I wish we were not playing Utah or USC during any regular season so that a Pac-12 Championship game against either would be that much more epic. Georgia fans were telling me how Oregon vs. USC could end up being "must-see" TV with all the hype of the Riley Offense and the Lanning Defense. We ALL win from that including our colleagues in SLC. -
With the reclassification of Kyler Kasper to 2022, it brings our total of 4&5-Stars to seven to move us up. However we are No. 2 in the conference to Arizona; the Wildcats have fewer of the 4&5-Stars, (Five) but have a total class of 23, while the Ducks have 17. So more volume...even of 3-Stars adds more points. In a normal year where we sign 22-25...we kill it. 2022 Team Rankings N.RIVALS.COM The definitive source for all Rivals news. Bottom line? Getting seven 4&5-Star players, (which is better than two of three Helfrich years) and add the Portal transfers, and done with a short recruiting season with a new coach? Prettay, prettay good!

Just More Fun Pointing Out How Mediocre Washington Football Is
Charles Fischer replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Mike Bellotti is the most charming likeable coach ever, and has far more class than I ever will. He would never put 70 points on a fellow coach, but a former Oregon assistant that he gave a break to, Chris Petersen, had no such qualms. And we could have put 70 on them so many times! -

Thank You Easter Bunny: Kyler Kasper Commits to Ducks
Charles Fischer replied to FamilyofDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Scout no longer exists; it was bought by CBS 247 Sports, and thus all the flawed player rankings of Scout in the past (See my article above why I use Rivals) are part of 247's Data-Base. Thus why when I refer to historical perspective of the recruiting classes...I can only depend on Rivals. Now, with that being said--I don't have an axe to grind for them. In fact I am a member of 247 and On3 and would use theirs if I felt it was as accurate. -
First Sweep of Huskies in Seattle in 46 Years
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
All your humor and this one above made me LOL! The hitting this year has never been done at Oregon before, and is a wonder to watch. Now if we had great starting pitchers...but give Coach Waz time to recruit.
