  1. So great to see DeForest Buckner do so well and he's in the Playoffs this weekend! Great article about him right here.
  2. Amen Duck-Brother, as that entire staff was under-appreciated by Chip and I would put Steve Greatwood at the top of that category along with Coach Campbell.
  3. Welcome Chalupacabra, as we love all opinions here, and especially ones that disagree and make great points. While we all may not agree, we can sure learn from each other and I would invite you to do so often.
  4. I completely agree and I wrote about it recently here, and cannot understand the weakness in this crucial recruiting area. I wish to welcome you and all the new people who are joining us in droves by the day since this forum recently become "live." And to have nine comments before 8:00 AM Pacific is a good trend-line for this article and the upside growth of this free forum.

  7. Something simply doesn’t add up. There’s a pretty simple formula to winning in college football, and it starts with getting better players than everybody else. There are other factors needed to build a consistently good program, but bringing in top-tier talent is believed to be the most important. Oregon has done that better than just about any other Pac-12 program ... Read the full article here...

  9. It should be a sham-dunk for the NFL ROY, but we do not find out until Super Bowl weekend.
  10. Trust me...that is my hope and something written about on this site right here. (Like another Reuben Droughns)
  11. I don't know if you were around here since the season began, but we have been talking about the defense as it is the biggest drop-off in the units from last year to this one. So what we have been discussing about is how the Oregon offense needs to out-score the opponent, since the defense is weak this year. So yes--most of us identified the defense, and the problems although I believe there was more issues in the front seven than the back four contrary to what many think. Both sides of the ball are a mess right now, so I don't think you will get any disagreement about the defense. Glad to have you on-board, and would love your thoughts often. Thanks.

  13. Some good stuff and fun reading about Justin Herbert; we have to eat it up now before the whole NFL season is over!
  14. Judy, you will fit in just fine here, and thanks for posting! I hope you will jump in often with your thoughts...

  16. Not even a week later and he is working out at home in Georgia! He is an up and coming STAR for the Ducks!
  17. If Avalos leaves--we just lost a great replacement candidate...
  18. Boy there are a bunch of dandies in this article, and it certainly got me thinking about Oregon. --How good would we have been with Sewell, Holland, Graham and Breeze? So many of those to discuss in the off-season! Penei Sewell creates a hole for Verdell in the Pac-12 Championship in 2019...
  19. Now that was a fun short video and I do appreciate you bringing it to us! Please post more and add videos, pictures, GIFs--anything. This is precisely the kind of entertainment I enjoy and would love to see on this forum in addition to recent Oregon sports news and lots of discussion. My thanks!
  20. I was going to say that this is our best chance in years because Colorado isn't as good...until I looked at their 7-3 record. They beat Kansas State by 18, USC by 10 and Washington by 23 of whom the Ducks barely squeaked past. The Ducks are going to have their hands full, no doubt. I am going to be curious about how they operate in the low post against much bigger players...
  21. The Oregon Women’s basketball team is coming off their first loss of the season, and their first loss in 27 games, to PAC-12 opponent UCLA. In what was a hard fought game, the Ducks had multiple opportunities at the end to either tie or take the lead, but came up just short 74-72. At times in that game the youth ... 22. John Brice at FootballScoop.com reports that Montana State head football coach and former Boise State assistant coach Jeff Choate has interviewed for the job on Monday. Brice also reports that Choate has emerged as "potentially the top target for the same position at Boise State."
  23. Recruiting is nearly done; the 21 previously verballed are now signed LOIs from the December signing date. They are not/cannot bolt. Oregon only has four spots left for a couple of coveted players, and leaving room for transfers, as the portal is going to be quite active in this offseason.
