  1. Canzano Comments About the Game: "Oregon looked fatigued, and Wisconsin looked fresh." Yep. "That defense has been dominant all season. It has now held 9 of 11 opponents to 18 points or less. Only Ohio State and Boise State managed to eclipse that mark." That is impressive!
  2. Next is Washington? The Coaches Will Be Busy...
  3. IMHO...we have been fine without Burch against unranked opponents, as Teitum plays more, and Matayo Uiagalelei takes Burch's spot. Ditto at receiver, as we want Tez back, but not urgent for three weeks. At guard, I finished watching every offensive play, and each at right guard who replaced Harper did well, for the most part. Both Rogers and lului made a mistake each is all, and their other blocks were more than adequate. It could be a LOT worse, and I do hope we save Jordan James as much as possible.
  4. Let's discuss all the other CFB games of the day in this thread, and we do NOT discuss the Oregon game here, as we will have a separate GameDay thread for our game. (I will delete posts about the Oregon game, as we need to keep the discussions separate) Do provide score updates when you can, as well as your thoughts of what you saw in all the other games. We have a rich line-up of other games today such as Utah vs. Colorado to start!
  5. C'mon...the Huskies are just as good at running these things as Oregon! Right?
  6. Good gosh Lanning has been so strong at recruiting defensive players. Whew!
  7. My Duck Buddies: I'm looking out the window to see if pigs are flying, because I could not believe what I read on a USC forum. (Below) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Dang. The guy gets to just be a coach - which is all these coaches really want to do. If he wants a player he and his staff identify him, and they let the money team close the deal. No hassles / no team chemistry issues / if it doesn’t work out next kid up." "Not saying Lanning is the reason, but Oregon as a program has made some really smart decisions how to operate that aren’t even NIL related. Lanning hired assistants that do recruit and he brought in experienced support staff for development." "Lanning is a relentless recruiter. Riley isn't. Lanning doesn't have it easy, he just puts in the work. He doesn't hire and protect his best friends, he doesn't phone in his recruiting efforts, and he insult the people who buy tickets to the games. Riley makes everything more difficult on himself. They both have the same job, Riley just makes it look harder." "Oregon has been successful with multiple coaches since before NIL. I don't know about them enough to look into why, but safe to say their Athletic Administration gets sports more than ours." "Lanning is a beast on the trail, and he hired beast recruiters as assistants. We have lazy recruiters up and down the staff." "The dude is a workaholic and is one of the most competitive people you would ever meet. He is a winner, plain and simple. A little douchey and slightly unlikable? Yes, but he will always do what it takes to win. He would kill it here at USC." "He’s a relentless recruiter above all, and has made that point during an interview where he was rushing to leave--so he can go recruit." "You have to give him credit. His first game as a HC he faced Georgia and got his a** kicked. Ever since then he worked his a** off to make sure he has everything to succeed." --------------------------------------------------------- Are USC fans at the Grieving Stage of Acceptance? 8. Naw, we won't hold it against both of you, because we have one too! Pat MacAfee and Kirby Smart...
  9. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction versus Wisconsin? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Let's get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. And please check the other posts in this thread to prevent putting up the a score that has already been predicted. We had one week where four entries were the same score! Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 45-13 3 4 228 Let's Keep Winning, Ducks!
  10. We've done well in a variation of this uniform...
  11. I believe you forgot that Wisconsin is also UW....as it was confusing to me as well in many of this week's articles.
  12. I forgot about the connection between the two, and Coach Meyer is lavish in his praise, and this is well worth the short four minutes.
  13. I am sure Jerry and Prime would get along just fine...
  14. Boy is that true! We were so lucky last night...whew! Portland was hitting crazy threes, and we were stuck-in-the-mud.
  15. You know, that is funny, but is also probably true! FORGET the 2025 Season: Ducks Better Savor This Year... | FishDuck FISHDUCK.COM My many Duck-Buddies…I know I should not be looking ahead, but I did so in order to provide perspective on how experienced and savvy this 2024 Oregon Football…
  16. When has THAT ever happened? Usually the pundits are sputtering about Oregon is over-rated, or soft, or some form of undeserving. What is the Difference?
  17. My prediction? Scoring will go WAY UP in the Playoffs because they have to. Evan Stewart will be unleashed!
  18. It cracks me up, but the activity of posting this year is less than prior years! A year that was thought to be memorable, and is turning into one and....less discussion? I was pondering it with NJDuck, and realized that it is only natural; in the past we had "Prevent Offense" problems, or major injuries, or a loss we should not have had, or something to gripe about and beat-to-death. By contrast, this year it is boringly efficient, and while I love it, I do admit there is less to discuss.
