Unforeseen QUADRUPLE Payoff Over Next Two Games!
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The beautiful part about these games with UW and OSU? These are the ones that COUNT, as they can brag about the others, but to win these would deprive them of winning the games that MATTER the most! -
Big Recruiting Push for 2024 Class Coming Up

The 2025 crop of defensive linemen on the west coast is thin, thus loading up now while you can and let the others fight for crumbs makes sense. -
Unforeseen QUADRUPLE Payoff Over Next Two Games!
Charles Fischer posted a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
For those not on the subscription boards...this buzz is strong about Jonathan Smith leaving for Michigan State. The newest surprise is Husky Coach Kalen DeBoer, as he is being linked to leaving for Texas A&M if he loses either of the next two games. If he wins them--it would be five weeks before he would be available, and TAMU wants him immediately. Wait...how many benefits are there for Oregon fans by Our Beloved Ducks winning the next two games? --Give the Beavers a loss in the final Pac-12 Civil War --Knock the Beavers out of the conference championship. --Put the Ducks into the conference championship. --Last time we face Jonathan Smith! --Rip the conference championship from the Huskies. --No Playoff for Washington. --Send DeBoer on his way, and never face him again? --Win the final Pac-12 Championship. --Get into the final four-team playoff! Good gosh...how many benefits ARE there for winning these last two? How glorious it would be! -
Thank you for being a classy representation of Duck fans. Unfortunately, as proven with my written eviscerations of Beaver fans who emailed me yesterday and Monday...I would not be as measured as you. "I Never Said I Was Noble."

The attitude adjustment would be too big. Not a good fit...

Beaver Memes....Too Much Fun!

This will not age well... -
I will have a FishDuck Photographer on the field shooting the game for our writers...does that count? Tom Corno, (in the neon) shot incredible photos at Ohio State in 2021. He will be there!

"As much as I love the PAC, I cannot wait to dominate the B1G and finally prove those Mid-West chauvinists wrong." Amen. I believe we will move into the B1G top two on a perennial basis. (After 2024) -

Lanning’s Culture Is Paying Dividends in November

We have 18 of the 4/5-Star players verballed to Oregon for the 2024 recruiting class. We will probably beat the record of 19, and will know in a few weeks. The point is--add this class, and we will have most Blue-Chip roster ever at Oregon. -
It is not just how generous the praise is, but how we are hearing some things that has NOT been described of our team in the past. "Physicality, tough defense, off-the-charts offensive efficiency." That is Dan Lanning, my friends! Boog McFarland: "They're playing some of the best football in the country. I just love the physicality on the defensive and offensive line. Oregon is a team nobody wants to play right now." Greg McElroy: "As complete as you'll find and as dangerous as you'll find in the entire sport. But their resume' is terrible. They do not have a win against a single team in the current top-25." Boog McFarland: "We have to give Oregon credit for the ferocity in which they play." Kirk Herbstreit: "You could make the point that they have been the most consistent team from the beginning of the year. They have Bo Nix, a veteran leading the way, you have speed all over the field, and you have Dan Lanning coaching the defense with Tosh Lupoi. They fly around, and are playing with confidence. If Oregon wins both their next two games...they will be in the Playoffs." Which quote is the biggest surprise, or brings you the most pleasure?

But...we could be a conference champion and still left out. Ohio State-Michigan, B1G Champs Georgia, SEC Champs Florida State, ACC Champs (Could happen...even with their QB out) Texas, Big-12 Champs Oregon, Pac-12 Champs Five champions, three undefeated and Texas has a better win on the resume at Alabama. It is crazy that a conference champion could be left out...

The lady Oregon State fan screaming in the background really made this for me!

Holy Toledo! What amazing stats! A ton of red during the Cristobal years, and a lot of green the past two years under Lanning. Now I recognize that you are the one assigning colors, but in my world--rushing for 200 yards a game is pretty darn good. Ditto for scoring over 40 points per game, because not many teams can do that. Fun to see--thanks.
