SEC so so overrated this year! If you can't even beat a lowly ACC team you've got problems. -

Looking like one of if not the best start for Dana. This team is only starting to come together and is getting me very excited with the depth and potential of this team. -
Oregon Gets Alabama in Players Era Championship
Dave23 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Super excited for this match up! Alabama has good speed and size but the Ducks should match up well with them defensively. This game will depend on the refs if they let it become a physical slug fest, like Alabama first game, advantage Bama. If however the refs call it tight and Bittle can take it to Nelson I like our chances. -

The Ducks get Alabama and their biggest test of the year! The Ducks have stepped up to every challenge this year and this game will be a measuring stick of how good the Ducks can be this year. If they keep it close you know that their going to be a though it in March. If they win things will get really interesting and watch out as the wrecking ball is coming for the B1G. -

Nice to see the Ducks beat the 20th rank team in the nation! If this team can bring up their 3 point average they could make a deep run in March. -

Ducks win by 10 in a gutsy comeback to remain undefeated on the season. This team looks different than past teams with bench depth for days, could be a really fun season. -

So painful, being a Raiders fan and watching all the Ducks playing for the Ponies. Good for them, the Raiders program is not what it once was. -
I see he's still breaking a lot of tackles. Has to be one of the bounciest and slickest guys around. Forgot to mention he's got great vision as well.

That would be an interesting way to go about it but I think that it would only give us a historic view of which conference is better over the long run, which can be decided in the tournament given that there's equal treatment in seeding and number of teams. To start off all teams should play the same amount of conference games. Second no conference should get more than 3 teams in the playoffs as this will give the non power 2 conferences a chance to prove them self. The NFL does this and it rewards the top seeded teams with an "eazy" game to start the playoffs while allowing everyone a chance to make a run. I agree that there should be more cross conference games between the power conference. One out of conference game a year should be scheduled against another power conference on rotating basis between the power 4 with 1/3 of the conference teams playing each other power conference. I realize this would take equal teams in each conference. The NFL really does have all of this already figured out the model just needs to be adopted by college.

I think the problem most people have is a team like LSU who lost to a bottom dwelling USC team was still ranked at 22nd as of last week. Ole Miss lost to several under 500 teams and was still ranked in the top 15. Any other conference in that would not be the case. Factor in the 8 games conference schedule versus the 9 game conference schedule and the Big ten automatically has nine more losses. I totally agree with you on a maximum of three teams from a conference, if you can't finish in the top three you haven't proven you belong. I'd rather see how the other conferences actually match up not just unquantifiable computer generated SOS and eye test rankings.

GameDay Thread: Ohio State vs. Indiana!

Just handing them the ball in the red zone is not a good strategy. Two TDs on short field. Thanks for update. -

Tennessee QB "Questionable" for Pivotal Game with Georgia
Dave23 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Good enough to allow a 192 yard rusher against Oregon. It will be interesting to finally give a teams like BSU the chance to prove them self rather than the 3 loss SEC team getting the benefit of the doubt and taking their spot in the playoffs. Could a 3 lost team win the national championship, Yes. Should a team that only lost to the number one team in the nation by 3 points get a shot at proving that they belong, absolutely. -
The refs where calling the game tight last night and Evans picked up some pretty ticky tacky fouls that slow him down and kept him on the bench. I agree he doesn't quite have the power of a elite 4 man and seems to get tangled up in crowds but so did Angel last night. Shelstad shots 5 for 19 and can be really hot and cold. I would like to see him drive and dish the ball more as he can attract a lot of attention and get overwhelmed at the rim. This team is interesting, lots of pieces with a noticeable lack of big guys down low but better overall size. It's all about how well they gel and play team ball not much of that last night till the end of the game.
