So indeed, in 2025, Oregon will be a Whiteout game. It looks like the conference is trying to make up for the season PSU defeated Ohio State and won the conference but Ohio State went to the BCS, and all of those other 10-2 seasons, that PSU was not 4-team playoff-worthy. Ohio State in 2024 and Penn State, kind of in 2024 and definitely in 2025, have 'playoff here we come' designed schedules. In 2025 the Ducks miss both Ohio State and Michigan but do play unless Rob switches the game to playing Wazzu in Pullman, possibly defending B12 champ Oklahoma State at home. Super-sized conference schedules will vary widely in difficulty from one season to the next. The game at Penn State will be awesome and it will also be nice in 2025 to welcome SC to Autzen.

Performance in high school is no guarantee of performance at the next level. Ditto superior performance in college leading to success in the NFL. One reason why CFB coaches today have to recruit both high schools and the portal with success. Dan and his friends check both boxes.

Lay down your money evenly on Missouri, Ole Miss, Bama, Texas, and UGA and you will not get much of a return. With LSU playing Ole Miss, Bama, and Oklahoma at home and the two toughest road games at A+M and Florida, I think the Bayou Bengals have a decent shot at making the Delightful Dozen; you have to make the field before you can win a title. But LSU at +1500 based on the schedules, Mizzou at Bama, and A+M and gets its other top 30 ranked opponent, Oklahoma at home, at +3000 is the better bet. Buying both Ohio State and Oregon makes some sense as both have an excellent chance to be in the field. No matter the QB for Ohio State, I think Oregon with Gabriel will have the better QB. Oregon at +900 and Ohio State at +425 would have me place a bet on the Ducks. Frankly, I don't think these odds support a bet so far out in the future. Clemson and FSU are both Buys? Clemson plays at FSU in a battle of under-achieving QBs, DJU, and Clemson's Klublik. Clemson opens against UGA in Atlanta which will likely be a loss. FSU travels to Notre Dame, and Clemson misses Notre Dame. One or the other could be a decent bet, maybe? I don't think that any ACC team has the chops to win it all. Will a 10-2 Notre Dame with a 12-game schedule and no champ game be in the running for a playoff spot? I'd like to think not. I think ND will lose the bookend games, at A+M to open and at USC to close, and will lose one more game, FSU or possibly Louisville or an upset loss, to finish 9-3. At least I hope so. The ND independent scam will hopefully end come 2026. There is no reason for the Power 2 to bend over for Notre Dame. Thanks for the post.

I think that Ohio State at Oregon on 10/12/24 will be a prime-time game, 4:30 Pacific time kick-off, and the Penn State at USC game the same weekend could be played on Friday night. PSU would be coming off a home game vs UCLA and USC off an away game vs Minnesota. I don't believe the teams would be happy about a short week before the game. There are so many impactful games on 10/12 including Oklahoma vs Texas that there will be broadcast conflicts.
