Does My Heart Good, Verdict Against NFL is 4.7 Billion, Tripled to 14.1 for Anit-Trust
It's the NFL and not the P-12 so, Not So Fast! What are the long-term effects of the historic Sunday Ticket verdict against the NFL? WWW.YARDBARKER.COM A jury Thursday found the NFL liable in an antitrust trial, ordering the league to pay $4.7B in damages related to the price-fixing of its Sunday Ticket package. The trickle-down effect could have... The trial judge didn't think much of the case. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Puddles won't be shucking corn until 2026 when presumed QB whiz Dylan Raiola will be in his third season when Nebraska visits the Ducks. If Coach Ruhle does what he did at Temple and Baylor, Nebraska could be a B1G title contender. Taking an early look at Nebraska heading into 2024 WWW.MAIZENBREW.COM Head coach Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are looking for a winning season in 2024. 9 conference games and you miss a conference member in back-to-back seasons, it's a B1G conference.

Does My Heart Good, Verdict Against NFL is 4.7 Billion, Tripled to 14.1 for Anit-Trust
All concession items and team gear just went up $5.00. Unlike the Pac-10 prez, the NFL owners will not roll over. This judgment will be appealed and ultimately settled for less dough. I do not want families to have to pay even more to attend NFL games in person. I do not want more NFL teams that will only dilute the product. For this matter not to be settled, a bunch of $1000 plus an hour attorneys did not do a very good job at the downside risk analysis, I wonder if any personal liability attaches to the owners? I would think the NFL and all professional sports conferences are set up as limited liability companies with only the assets on hand available to meet liabilities. It's always fun to see billionaires take it in the shorts but a judgment of this size if sustained on appeal will have a ripple effect that will touch every NFL fan. (OK, maybe not Taylor Swift?)

Whoa! Oregon Severely Undervalued in the Blue-Chip Ratio....
Mike, I feel your angst. But IMO it is inevitable that the wheat, successful teams that invest large amounts on football will separate from the chaff. The wheat draws 2M+ eyeballs, at least, for every game. I too am wary of the NFL; however, if the NFL added 8 teams to arrive at 40, would the product improve? I don't think so. How many 'wasteland weekends' do we have in CFB? Weekends where there are zero, one, or two top-25 matchups. Oklahoma, Texas to the SEC, Oregon, UCLA, USC, and UW to the B1G will only consolidate the quality and improve the competition. Do OK State fans want to see the Cowboys plastered by the Longhorns as was the case last season? The Cowboys have a chance against the Jayhawks, but would likely lose to Texas 90% of the time. Across the nation, will more fans tune in to watch Texas play OK State or Texas play Georgia? The more successful brands will earn a larger share of revenue as we have seen with the Power 2 bringing in the majority of the playoff dough. Players on elite Power 2 teams will earn more money via NIL and direct payment, than a Cal player taking the field against Wake Forest. The NCAA lost its broadcast monopoly in the 1980s. I'm surprised it has taken this long for the marketplace to arrive at a Power 2. I always enjoy your takes my friend.

Oregon a B1G Contender? They Don’t Believe It…
B1G Media Days will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network (BTN) July 23rd through July 25. Danno will appear on July 25. I urge all OBD brother and sisters to subscribe to BTN. The production values and on-air personalities are terrific. 50M + B1G fans will be joining you when you subscribe and tune in. Was that you Larry and John Canzano that I am hearing in the background; or, was it the Pac-2 ADs? My guess? The B1G media will forecast Oregon football finishing in second place in 2024. Puddles is flying in with a lot of B1G respect. It's going to be B1G no matter what Buckeyes have to say.

Ashley Adamson: A Final Word as Pac-12 Network Goes Dark
Give it rest on the Pac-2 LOSERS + THIEVES. They learned well because their representatives were on hand to enable Larry's thievery. She's out of a job because Larry suckered a bunch of schmucks into starting a business that was undercapitalized, and with earning projections courtesy of Thewlve Monkeys and Three Stooges. The on-air talent on the B1G Network is far better than anything Adamson has to offer. She gets the last lifeboat off the Titanic and uses the opportunity to bash Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington. I wish I could roll a black ball and terminate her before she starts. My guess is that her reporting will be confined to the 4 departing schools she just slapped in the face.

Whoa! Oregon Severely Undervalued in the Blue-Chip Ratio....
DanL, I believe you are spot on when it comes to streaming. It's but a matter of time before cable and network TV give way to streaming. SEE: ESPN, Fox, and Warner forming the Venu Sports streaming entity that will debut this fall. This is Cats and Dogs lying down together. I do not believe that a move to streaming will negatively impact Oregon's college football revenues. Streaming will lead the way to all conference members not receiving an equal share of revenue; particularly, from football and men's basketball. The teams that draw the most eyeballs will collect a larger share of revenue. Oregon will have the opportunity to distance itself financially from Indiana and Northwestern. Equal pay for all is one of the last vestiges leftover from the 'Student-Athlete' model. With football and men's basketball in particular being capitalized, the winners will receive the larger share of revenue as is the case in all capitalized enterprises. I expect some programs will eliminate football and compete in non-revenue sports. There will be no closing of Pandora's Vault.
