  1. I've told this before, but during construction on Hwy 217 in Beaverton, someone had climbed to the top of road equipment left elevated and hung an Husky flag. It really annoyed me having to drive past it daily. Well, someone else climbed up and spray painted on the flag, "0-12", which had been their record the previous year. After that I couldn't wait to drive by it! I still laugh to this day thinking about it.
  2. Laughable. Every thing about the Huskies is laughable!!
  3. I also believe Mario recruits quality of character, not just good ballers. Aside from the airsoft incident, we have had no serious issues with players. That is good recruiting.
  4. Husky fans are asking the same thing. I hope he gets a chance to meet Kayvon person to person!
  5. He has a strong arm, just not as accurate as we would like.
  6. At this point, it's hard to argue against this. Aside from wanting more accurate downfield throws, AB actually has done well in all other criteria for this award. I think it is a deserved acknowledgement. Go Ducks!!
  7. This is an awesome package! Wish I could take advantage. One day...
  8. Yes, I did give some rehash, but I also addressed the media spin. Sorry. I missed previous discussion. My bad.
  9. Not one tough one. Three tough ones. WSU, Utah, OSU. It ain't gonna be easy.
  10. Poise, not a quitter, doesn't give up, solid runner.
  11. To me, if we boo the "product on the field", because we spend our $ on tickets etc, we have become spectators only and are no longer "fans of college athletics". Most of us are alumni, or long time followers. We cheer "in support" of our student athletes. What ever happened to "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything ". The truth is, while you might be disgruntled with the play calling, the guy next to you who is less educated in actual football knowledge, is unhappy with the player. And who knows, we all hear and see and make our own conclusions. Sports guys, especially the big guns are lazy. They blow into a town and read the notes their staff gives them. In all the years with Chip, Herbie & Co never once understood his offense. Booing your college team, especially when they are 5-1, is news worthy. Autzen fans don't boo as a rule, and at least half the boos were against AB. On a personal note, I've gone back and forth on this issue and I've decided for me, booing is never appropriate under any circumstance. I would really like to see some civility come back as a nation. If we can't do that for our team which we love... ...when can we.
  12. Seems like we are unhappy when he is too conservative in play calling, and now we're unhappy he stayed aggressive. If the play had worked...? We wouldn't even bother with this question. The previous week we gave up long drives in the 4th, against Stanford we did, AB was playing pretty good, I say good call. The previous interception was miscommunication between qb and wr. The endzone shot was just a throw to the wrong side of the wr. It almost was a perfect throw, timing, distance, but alas, to his left, not his right. In this case, I agree with the aggressive play call.
  13. Wasn't the first time we wore black the Halloween game vs USC? That was a fun night game!
  14. Oregon has been on TV more than other schools, particularly the Beavs. Viewership will be off this year cuz Pac12 is pretty bad. And left coast peops aren't crazy rabid about football.
  15. Get them the ball!! They are just now getting targeted by AB. Anything close they catch. They'll produce more as they get a chance too. Both these two have a shot on Sundays.
  16. ESPN does not want a Pac-12 team to do well. They are and always will be anti-oregon. We are the "left coast" in politics and sports. No worries, we can beat them all! Though, having to compete against the refs as well...more troubling.
  17. It tells me he heard the booing. That is an admission of sorts. He can take it, but wants to protect players. I do think saying something right away, he wants to nip this in the bud. Also, you and I know how important confidence is in sport for optimum execution. Perhaps the boos shake up AB, and we don't need that.
  18. We have had a ton of injuries, and the qb is not a Cristobal recruit. I've decided I am being too harsh and borderline ridiculous in thinking a different coach would have better results. From here on out, at least until proven otherwise, I'm staying strong on the Cristobal wagon. We are still a very young team, and we have a huge up side. That said, take Col and the points. We won't cover 26!
  19. A great article WW. I like your premise. I admit to booing some, but I don't believe it was ever on the player. It seems to me it was about a combination of the play called and poor execution by the team, and always as a last straw. After a continuation of succeeding bad play calls. Like the booing at the Cal game, no one booed at Fresno State, or Stonybrook, or Arizona, but by the third dump down pass on a third and long attempt that had no chance...it was time for tough love. I agree that college students are kids and should not be booed on principal, but sometimes coaches and players need to know there are live bodies in the seats and like loving parents, we won't tolerate nonsense for too long.
  20. Winning at any cost. We all want our teams/athletes to win, yet that lends itself to maybe too extreme efforts to accomplish that one goal. I'm sure some athletes are fine with this approach, others obviously not. I personally have issues because of the adverse affects my niece suffered from similar training. She was worried she couldn't have children. After many years of non training and leaving her sport, she now has two kids. I know with NIL, athletes are more than simply students, but I wish for the day it was OK to be both.
  21. Best play call since tOSU game. I thought it was a CK type call!
  22. Why are we so quick to judge a person by their worst moment, instead of a lifetime of positive ones?
