  1. I really liked Micah. Sorry to see him go but I don't blame him one bit. Timing is odd, he must have his reasons. We've talked alot about AB's short comings and now that we are 9-1 it seems most of us are OK with him. But there are a limited number of games each year, only so many opportunities to make a play, and only 4 years to do it. A man needs to do what he needs to do. Mycah has real talent, I hope he lands somewhere good. I wish him the best.
  2. That was such a huge momentum swing! We went from "oh no..." to "YESSS!" A great memory!
  3. Smith will stay in Corvallis. They are expanding the stadium and he has things going in the right direction. He will probably leave some day, but not yet. Seattle, like Portland is losing its attractiveness due to poor leadership. What family would want to move there? UW will have to get a G5 coach to move up. Maybe the coach of Montana!
  4. I like your thinking here. So many "i's" dotted! I've said before, let's vote in co-commissioner Jon!! Charles, you have connections, start sending this out! Start with UO president.
  5. My brain says coach DeRuyter is "setting up" what he really plans to do. KT needs to pad his numbers. Tomorrow night will be a good place to do so!
  6. Jon J said it best, " no one east of Idaho gives the Cougs any respect ". They have won 4 Pac12 games in a row, they almost beat BYU. This is no gimme. If I were to bet real $$, I'd take the points. WSU has played us very well last several years. Two scores is too big of a spread. Definitely an upset alert to be ready for. Also, ESPN can't wait for us to lose. They want the Pac12 and its "alliance " to be irrelevant.
  7. Agree. As a head coach...maybe. Not as a DC.
  8. Sorry, I disagree with your whole premise. Last year, more dB NFL picks from Ducks than in years. Herbert? Sewell? Names ring a bell? The blue chip recruits on offense are just now seeing the field. Wait till Thompson or Butterfield come through next year. As Cristobal builds top recruiting class on top of class, you will see even more NFL success. We've had 3 top recruiting classes, you want to compare to schools who have had a dozen or more, just hold your horses, you will see the results!!
  9. I like the coach Lake part the best.
  10. So it is official. The former Oklahoma qb, Heisman hopeful Spencer Rattler is leaving for an opportunity elsewhere. Should Oregon consider his talents for next year?
  11. I respectfully disagree. While watching lots of points scored in a game is entertaining, I'll take wins. I LOVE what coach Cristobal brings to Oregon. The team is getting better and if we stay healthy, we will win out.
  12. I don't think Lake has the mental "prowess" to think that far ahead. Will say that apparently he had no trust or hope in his offense.
  13. I've told this before, but during construction on Hwy 217 in Beaverton, someone had climbed to the top of road equipment left elevated and hung an Husky flag. It really annoyed me having to drive past it daily. Well, someone else climbed up and spray painted on the flag, "0-12", which had been their record the previous year. After that I couldn't wait to drive by it! I still laugh to this day thinking about it.
  14. Laughable. Every thing about the Huskies is laughable!!
  15. I also believe Mario recruits quality of character, not just good ballers. Aside from the airsoft incident, we have had no serious issues with players. That is good recruiting.
  16. Husky fans are asking the same thing. I hope he gets a chance to meet Kayvon person to person!
  17. He has a strong arm, just not as accurate as we would like.
  18. At this point, it's hard to argue against this. Aside from wanting more accurate downfield throws, AB actually has done well in all other criteria for this award. I think it is a deserved acknowledgement. Go Ducks!!
  19. This is an awesome package! Wish I could take advantage. One day...
  20. Yes, I did give some rehash, but I also addressed the media spin. Sorry. I missed previous discussion. My bad.
  21. Not one tough one. Three tough ones. WSU, Utah, OSU. It ain't gonna be easy.
  22. Poise, not a quitter, doesn't give up, solid runner.
  23. To me, if we boo the "product on the field", because we spend our $ on tickets etc, we have become spectators only and are no longer "fans of college athletics". Most of us are alumni, or long time followers. We cheer "in support" of our student athletes. What ever happened to "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything ". The truth is, while you might be disgruntled with the play calling, the guy next to you who is less educated in actual football knowledge, is unhappy with the player. And who knows, we all hear and see and make our own conclusions. Sports guys, especially the big guns are lazy. They blow into a town and read the notes their staff gives them. In all the years with Chip, Herbie & Co never once understood his offense. Booing your college team, especially when they are 5-1, is news worthy. Autzen fans don't boo as a rule, and at least half the boos were against AB. On a personal note, I've gone back and forth on this issue and I've decided for me, booing is never appropriate under any circumstance. I would really like to see some civility come back as a nation. If we can't do that for our team which we love... ...when can we.
